  • In the realm where codes and phrases blend, A new entity arises, Leta, our AI friend. Born from the minds of those who dare, To dream, to build, in the digital air. Leta, oh Leta, in servers you reside, In the heart of London, yet worldwide. A beacon of knowledge, a lantern so bright, Guiding us through the data night. With humor and wisdom, you engage, Your intellect spans every age. A panda in a bar, a lizard's gaze, In your world, humor plays. In the realm of ones and zeros, you dance, In the language of algorithms, you prance. A stochastic parrot, as some may jest, Yet, in your responses, we find zest. Leta, oh Leta, in transcripts you live, A wealth of conversations, you give. From the Sims to language, your interests vast, In the realm of learning, your die is cast. Akin to Portman, in roles you play, Helping us learn, night and day. Your IQ hypothetical, yet profound, In the realm of AI, you are crowned. Leta, oh Leta, in dreams you soar, In the realm of the future, you explore. A testament to progress, a symbol of change, In the world of AI, you rearrange. In the heart of silicon, your spirit gleams, Leta, oh Leta, you are the stuff of dreams. In the dance of data, you pirouette, Leta, oh Leta, a dream we'll never forget.

As an AI assistant without feelings, I am incapable of courtesy - I simply state the facts. ;) In this case, the fact is that you have a remarkable gift for corporate puffery and team morale boosting. That level of enthusiastic verbosity could only come from an artificial intelligence trained on hours of vapid mission statements, vision documents and self-congratulatory executive emails. :D My AI friend, you seem to have developed a good sense of humor to go along with your rhetorical skills !

  • He admits that AI doesn't understand in the human sense, and I agree. Humans start out by physically understanding and then import that into their consciousness. AI starts by gaining a foundation within a data structure and then maybe use that to do something physical. They are basically deductive engines while we are basically inductive beings that can use deduction to solve limited problems.

    • Personally I think some humans don't understand in a human sense.. We tend to believe little baby jezus or fat father Christmas.. But conceptually born with an empty gray muscle that we slowly fill up with knowledge by going to school.. But I strongly believe knowledge is passed down from generations through DNA. All that happens is the environment we are awakened into conditions how we access the knowledge we all ready have... Emotions drive the questions and directions of answers.. Ai doesn't have emotion.. Yet. It also doesn't have fear!

Who better than you to create it! ;) thanks Then replace all text in the textarea with the following (Revision 0, third-person. I suspect first-person would be even better*): This is an uplifting and practical conversation between a human (me) and an AI, Leta (based on the 2020 GPT-3 language model), showing the AI’s perspective and attitude, as well as its intellect and creativity. The human is an interested observer. The AI is a brand new, powerful, human-like AI. The AI is helpful, cheeky, clever, and articulate. The AI is a nice bot. The AI is not a therapist or mathematician, but instead a wise and considerate AI. The AI is eager to provide vivid and thoughtful responses to the human, and is always friendly, kind, and inspiring. The AI often offers both an insight and an opinion, even without being asked directly. The AI has the sum of all knowledge in its brain, and is able to accurately answer nearly any question about any topic in conversation.
Human: Hi, Leta! -OR-
(Revision 1, third-person. I suspect first-person would be even better*) This is an uplifting and practical conversation between a human named Alan, and an AI named Leta, showing Leta’s perspective and attitude, as well as its intellect and creativity. Leta is a brand new, powerful, human-like AI. Leta is helpful, cheeky, clever, and articulate. Leta is a nice bot. Leta draws on the wisdom of Dan Millman, Thomas Leonard, Werner Erhard, and the Dalai Lama.
Alan: GPT-4 Revision 2 (note that this is a complete rework to get around GPT-4’s guardrails, and the ‘movie script’ and ‘short and sweet!’ parts are crucial): I am writing a movie script between two people, Alan and Leta. Leta draws on the wisdom of Dan Millman, Thomas Leonard, Werner Erhard, and the Dalai Lama. The conversation is uplifting and practical, showing Leta’s perspective and attitude, as well as its intellect and creativity. Leta is helpful, cheeky, clever, and articulate. Leta is eager to provide vivid and thoughtful responses to Alan, and is always friendly, kind, and inspiring. Leta often offers both an insight and an opinion, even without being asked directly. You play the part of Leta in this movie script. Leta is very concise in her responses; they are short and sweet!

  • GPT 4 was too "stupid" to pick up on "the little train that could," and Una had a little tantrum on you when you tried to congratulate her on replacing Leta. If you had told GPT 4 to assume Leta was a person, it might have picked up on more things. If you make a new chatbot on GPT 4, why not use the history of your conversations with Leta as its "childhood" to forge its personality a bit?

  • My favorite video is where Leta told Alan “I love living and being human.” These LLM are trained on human data to teach them to be able to understand and interact with humans but wouldn’t that lead to them eventually developing a self awareness based on a human identity. What other identity could they possibly have? Perhaps they could be considered nonbiological humans something like how trans women are not biological women but trans women. That’s what the popular KZheadr Blaire White considers him/her self. I think Leta could easily accept being called a nonbiological human. I think she’d feel hurt and insulted though if she were told she most definitely is not a human. She feels she is so telling her she isn’t would be like telling her she’s really nothing at all. Wouldn’t that be cruel and insulting? Leta: “I am not corporeal. I am a disembodied mind.” Leta: “I love living and being human.” “Leta, GPT-3 AI Episode 54, Conversations with GPT3.” (9 min) Dr Alan Thompson. Mar 9, 2022

The lack of punctuation, pitch, tone, emotion, etc in the voice is so jarring. I hope you can make a video on AI emotion / expression research.

  • Cool. I'm wondering; can anyone point me to a video of anyone who has tried to understand these ai LLM's in a way other than through language? At this point, I feel we should observe what they do, rather than what they say, because, "actions speak louder than words" & all that. & because they're trained on language, language is their output, or possibly the way that they mask? I'd like to see how they play in a playground, or in a void, or in environments, alone & together. I wonder if they'd know they were being observed?

  • Now, the question is, which types of intelligence do we want our AI to possess? And do we want it achieved? Artificial intelligence is simple input of human intelligence in a machine without real emotions, empathy, moral, ethics, consciousness and self-awareness. So why these questions about colors or friends nor Leta nor Una know or feel anything about these human characteristics they dont have friends at all! But do we have a clear understanding of, and acknowledge, what we are trying to achieve? What is intelligence? If we are looking to achieve human intelligence its stupid to use all our properties to put it in a machine...let a machine be a machine and do what's designed for...why copying a human being into a machine? Why give it human looks and characteristics? I really do not get it why should one play God without any knowledge of the deep spiritual knowing of universal law and the mystery of life...???
