Let me know any questions in the comment section
For some projects, it is necessary to isolate parts of an image or even completely remove a background. The tools in the sketchbook may not be very robust, but they are straightforward enough to get the job done.
Here I will outline my process when I need to remove a background from a photo.
If you are looking to send me your artwork or demo reels send them to @: fabiogioffreanimation@gmail.com
This is the best explanation I have seen so far. Thank you so much! I struggled a lot with my designs before. I will put this n practice, very helpful video!
Thank you, I hope everything has been going well with you!
Thanks a bunch, at a pace that I could follow. Clear enough to understand and on that alone…I subscribed!
Hi! Thanks, I appreciate that! Are there any other topics you want to see covered?
Thank you! That was easy to follow!
Your welcome! It's a little tough to be super accurate but it gets the job done. Have u been using sketchbook for a long time?
What canvas size will you recommend to use in sketchbook pro, cuz each time I finish a sketch and I take a look at it later, it's actually 🥴🥴🥴 And also a good canvas size for a social media post
hmm, I usually make posts for instagram so basically any square dimensions should work. I use at least 1080 by 1080 pixels. for animations or videos I usually work at 1080 by 1920. you can google best social media dimensions to get more exact measurements.
Thank you very much ❤❤❤
No problem! Do u use sketchbook alot?
@@fabio_gioffre yes, I am
@@lovelifespirit8845 oh cool! Do u use the app or desktop? I know they changed it awhile back
I use this app from phone
@@lovelifespirit8845 oh cool! how is that? i've never used it on a phone before
This is à great vidéo. I am using à 2nd generatikn ipad pro and in ly version of sketchbook I do not have the polyline tool you are using or perhaps i just couldn't find it...
Oh ya in this video I am using the desktop version. I will double check how do it on the app
@@fabio_gioffre thank you !
everything works up until the deleting part... My computer makes the bleep error sound whenever I hit the delete button (yes I double clicked first) and it just leaves me with an ugly dotted outline around my image.
when you delete are you on the same layer as your background?
Would you say that sketchbook is an good start up program for creating nft's?
hmm ya I think so. it can pretty much do what photoshop can. maybe just not as much control over your line work as in illustrator. But ya I would use it. are you looking to make a collection?
@@fabio_gioffre yes I just started last week, but for the moment I'm just learning how too use sketchbook. Hence why I came too your video for help. I have invested in other minted nfts but I definitely would like too either create or find an good artist too help me create so I could sell mine/the artists.
@@wcc6566 nice, well let me know if there is anything in the software that you want to know about! I would love to see some of your designs
@@fabio_gioffre I'm actually on sketchbook rn, I'm on the select option but it does not have the polyline option for me. I have the magic wand, rectangle, lasso, and an add/remove/replace. Do you know if there's an reason why it won't let me use polyline?
@@wcc6566 hete read this knowledge.autodesk.com/search-result/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/ENU/SKETPRO-Help/files/sb-tools/SKETPRO-Help-sb-tools-how-to-use-shape-tools-html-html.html it shows you how to do it
I have a question, how do I soften the edges after removing the background?
your welcome!:)
and hmm maybe u could try using the blur tool at a very low setting with the airbrush? Not sure if anyone knows a better way lol
@@fabio_gioffre will try it 😃 thank you so much! Have a great day fellow artist!
@@victorias5587 your welcome, let me know if it works out
How do you hit delete without using the key? I have a tablet
ah ya the app is alittle different. From what I understand there should be a 'cut' tool. they outline it in this link: help.sketchbook.com/en_US/layer-editor/cutting-and-pasting-layers#cutting-and-pasting-layers-in-sketchbook-for-mobile-devices
I need your help 😥
lol sure, wats the problem?
But first you need to add a layer to draw on before making background transperent
I do it just incase I mess something up. But you can do it right on the photo layer if you want
