Finally, we got anti-aliasing improvements :D Small improvements, but improvements.
Now that the game supports TAA, they can finally introduce DLSS and FSR into the game. For a game to qualify for Upscaling technology, it first needs to support TAA. I hope we get upscaling in update 1.51
@@angrysocialjusticewarrior There is this mod that does this already. But I hope it will be supported natively sooner rather than later. Even with the current TAA, certain objects still look shimmery
@@Eburon That mod is a paid mod. Actually it is a subscription mod that has to be paid regularly. So not a good recommendation. The reason why the native TAA is of a poorer quality than the mod, is because this is a new game engine. If SCS implemented TAA on the old engine it would have been similar to the mod. IMO, the best solution to this problem is to add additional AA methods on top of TAA, such as DLAA, FXAA, and MSAA.
@@angrysocialjusticewarrior It is indeed a paid mod now, used to be free when I last used it. But then again it's still a solution for a problem scs hasn't quite solved yet. Their anti-aliasing solutions are abysmal to say the least. Not quite sure what you mean by new game engine? It is still the same, but upgraded. I do agree more AA solutions on top could be beneficial
I am low end pc team
Enjoy the game until dx12 comes bro.
Been saving money for a decent PC for about 2 decades now Finally reach rtx for first time You can do it also I start from saving half dollar a day by sacrifice lunch
Its 2024 man, there is not excuse for owning a low end pc in this day and age. Just get a 4090 like everyone else. Even poor people can at least afford a 4060.
Not everyone have that priviledge My journey having rtx full of sacrifice
Can you survive potato phone your whole life? Your only entertainment spending discounted 50% games most of the time? Only max 10 games often less than 5 a year
Nice and clean, easy to understand comparisons. Well done!
Thank you!
I am glad we got these improvements, but sad the changes are so small you have to point them out to even notice them. Especially in 2024 with games such as Forza that look so dam realistic, you can hardly tell is a game anymore, and here, we'll we finally got Antialising .-.
could you make also a FPS comparasion between 1.49 and 1.50(with different anti-aliasing options)?
Question: When I got into the launch options for ETS2, it gives me a DirectX 11 64-bit option, and a 32-bit option. There is no Direct X 64-bit option for ATS. Do you know why?
Ooh, SCS Nebraska gameplay preview vid drops at the drop of the hour. It coming soon apparently?
I wonder what the graphics are going to look like in medium and I'm really hoping the mack Pinnacle comes before April ends even though we're getting closer to getting to the month of May
question; I tried downloading the beta but once I start the game the screen resolution appears large, and I can't access it in any way!
Nice video!
Thank you!!
I wish that mud sticks to truck in next update or add that feature in beta onnly
Nice graphisc
I really don't see much difference in it. It almost seems to me that they took away a couple of details and the shade doesn't work very well, I only use it for the camera. mainly because they dug up the whole menu and a lot of people don't like it. so I reckon that pulka people will switch to the official crackle version 1.49 which is available on steam as a beta version but convoys don't work in it, so the official crackle version from scs
I hope my GPU is finaly getting a little warmer :D
How's the performance? I have rtx 2060
I hope I can still play in minimal graphs with my good old laptop
The Weather Quality was replaced with Far Shadows.
My PC specs are Alienware Aurora R15 dark side of the Moon, 1350W PSU, Alienware Cryo-tech edition CPU liquid cooling Graphics card -Nvidia Geforce RTX 4090 24 GB GDDR6X Processor - AMD Ryzen 7950X 16-core processor 64 GB of ram Dual drives 2TB solid state drives SSD Windows 11
I really think these graphic changes are lik a very small changes from 1.49....there's still a major part tht us yet to come ig, excited to it and yes great video man✨
I'm glad there is an FPS Limiter in 1.50 😄
You can change your graphics card.
@@aaliyahmachuca6676You failed miserably at comprehending his comment 🤣🤣🤣
@@southboundtp2067 You are all misunderstanding each other it seem. He misunderstood the original comment and you misunderstood his reply. Its all just one big misunderstanding.
@@angrysocialjusticewarrior Cool story mate!
@@southboundtp2067 It wasn't a story, mate, but thanks anyway.
2k hours and the trucks aren't get dirty 🤣
Currently there are no improvements, the goal was to implement the new engine but keeping everything pixel to pixel identical for now. Just watch the video from SCD where Pavel explains it. New stuff will come later, PBR etc
If you look at the gameplay with the new anti aliasing and the updated shadows , I don’t know what to say if you can’t see it but maybe you should go see a doctor and get an eye exam . It definitely improves , and I’m glad they ‘d shared it cause I was feeling a little underwhelmed with all these talk about 1.50 but without any footage to show it …even the particles and the dust is much better than it used to be and I understand they want to get it right first before they start implementing features like truck washes etc
even I can cap 60fps with vsync in 1.50, I get the rubberbanding issues, which is not in 1.49, fps does not change but it's not smooth, anyone have same issue? I have a 3080 card run 2k on ultra
same problem
Artificial lights(headlights, light poles) are still passing through objects, i hope they fix it... It's quite annoying to pass under a light pole and the cabin is completely lit up as if it were transparent...
Světla jsou v této hře celkově problém pořád.
You should report this to them. The purpose of a beta is to allow users to find bugs and report to the developer to fix them. They won't see your comment on youtube.
@@angrysocialjusticewarrior this problem is know by SCS, there are already bug reports in the forum. They said this can not be fixed due to "engine limitations"

Mínima diferença
didn't convince me now. the smoke is jerky in the 1.50 and I also have TAA with the Snowymoon mod. And looks much better. 1.50 is spongy and uses even more fps. We need the use of all CPU cores and not that kind of nonsense
Agreed!
Snowymoon worked good in 1.49 because it was developed for a stable release of the game. 1.50 is just a beta. The purpose of a beta is to allow users to help the developer find bugs and come up with new ideas. A beta is not a full release that is works properly.
@@angrysocialjusticewarrior The majority of the comments posted under this video are well aware 1.50 is just a beta. It's also safe to assume guys know the difference between a beta and a stable release. The OP simply points out SCS' attempt still is no match for Snowymoon. Hopefully that may change, fingers crossed 🤞
How’s the performance? Any stuttering?
Still stuttering. Better performance only with the new engine
🗣️🗣️
Why have a shadow if you don't see your own shadow from the truck or the bots?
Because its a simulator. Its is supposed to simulate real life trucking. Even in trucking you can't see the shadow behind you, but it still there.
performance increase or decrease?
ok
COOL
Finally ps3 level graphics🎉
New feature new fps drop 😂
Can someone please tell me if the same PC that ran 1.49 will also be able to run 1.50 version, thanks
Yes, it will
Just list your specs man if you aren't sure as nobody knows your specs, settings and performance you were getting in 1.49 but 1.50 will require more resources.
So the same then.....
No one wanna click in this like lol... 665 is final.. I will wating that another one click there ha ha ha
only TAA make sense
I have some many fps drops. 😢
It will only changes when new engine comes to the game. For now the bad performance will persist
Now enable visual damage model for vehicles, so that this finally becomes a sim instead of being an arcade.
Manufactures won't allow that. Even in racing games they don't allow it unless the videogame company is a very big company that can persuade the manufacturer to agree. But even if they agree, they only allow small amounts of visual damage.
@@angrysocialjusticewarrior There are sims with extensive damage model (e.g. iRacing), and this is the leading truck sim, so their devs should be in the same position as devs of big simracing titles, even if they are small in comparison.
SvarblardCrashingDistrict: Poor at driving
@@anotheryoutubeaccount5259 Very clever, anotheryoutubeaccount.
@@SvalbardSleeperDistrict Well it isn't Crashing Simulator, that's what you're NOT supposed to do, so it's not a priority
Will someone finally do a comparison from position of a truck driver? So far everyone is showing comparisons running behind a truck or flying in the air. This is not a FPP game or a flight simulator. My thoughts after watching a few videos: Mud is completely unnecessary because this is not Spintires, same goes for dust. How many roads are there on which it will affect? There are a negligible percentage of such roads, and even driving on such a road you won't see it. The shadows of objects are probably made by some random algorithm? 🤔So what if buildings in distance cast a shadow that you'll only see when you reach it, when the trees in front of those buildings have none at all⚠In this comparison, version 1.49 fares better for me. Smoke doesn't look any better than in 1.49 either. Cascaded shadow - difference is negligible for me, and while driving you certainly won't notice difference. You won't be driving a truck on the sidewalk, after all 😄 Et cetera, et cetera. Difference in performance between SMAA and TAA depends on preference. Some prefer a blurrier image others prefer a sharper image, but it's no game changer. Overall, Experimental Beta 1.50 is disappointing😒
Bro how can you say mud is not necessary in a driving simulator? That's like saying rain is not necessary because this is not a rain simulator. Come on bro. And TAA is indeed a game changer. TAA is not about blurry images or sharp images, its about stopping the shimmering. Before 1.50, when you drove you truck you could see the edges of objects having aliasing that was moving (shimmering) and some shadows were flickering. SMAA is only good at removing aliasing from still objects, but TAA can stop aliasing when movement is involved. The blurry image is simply a side effect of TAA. Using sharpening can make the image clearer but can also slightly undo the work of TAA and expose a little bit of the shimmering that was hidden.
@@angrysocialjusticewarrior I just finished route from Lisbon to Воронеж (~7000km) and didn't see an ounce of mud, so my answer is that in ETS2 mud is completely unnecessary. As an effect this mud is only suitable for videos like this one, but being consistent they should make ruts in the mud and dirty tires like in Spintires. If you already mentioned rain: I drove almost half of way in the rain and it makes quite a difference in imersion. Problem with ETS is this - to have a reasonably realistic rain effect I had to turn on 3 mods! I get impression that SCS assumes that if there are mods for something then we don't need to implement it in game. A lot of things in this game annoy me, and the most annoying is the fact that I get out and get into truck (mod) through a closed door, and they add unnecessary mud. WTF? TAA is a temporal method so depending on the game implementation, it can lead to ghosting in motion. SMAA does not have this problem. Is this implementation better than one Snowy Moon did? Time will tell, but it's been done before and it's nothing out of the ordinary.
Nothing's Changed At All
It seems like it according to this video but it's actually quite an improvement, especially in terms of AA and drawing distances

Why is scs 10 years behind? (Sorry for the ets fanboys but these are facts. )
Why is turkey 45 years behind ?
@@Streetrocker28yeah suck for fan ubisoft...
Because they are using a 20 year old in house developed engine.
@@anotheryoutubeaccount5259 I wish they would just switch to unreal engine 5 and finally catch up with the times. their game doesn't even have upscaling support or full native hdr support.
@@angrysocialjusticewarrior No, they won't. Screetch about it
