  • Day 3 with my new 2 months old Siberian Husky, no matter how much I prepared beforehand and how many videos I watched, experiencing this firsthand is something else, I am officially losing my mind, the amount of work is truly a test of patience and resilience. The Crate literally saves lives! The cuter they are the crazier they really be. Will be following this channel religiously from now on.

    • Same I have a 3 month old I only had him for 3 weeks and I’m going CRAZY! He literally potties every where in the house 😩 I been watching video and nothing is working. But I love him. Lol so cute.

      @sosaductive1289@sosaductive1289 Жыл бұрын
    • @@sosaductive1289 I highly recommend using a Crate and start using a schedule for his potty, mine ALWAYS has to go after Naps and after playing, so I take him out or carry him to a specified area I have loaded with newspapers so he can go inside the house for emergencies. There are rarely any accidents happening now, but it's because I'm very strict and do not allow her to have free roaming around the house without supervision and follow the schedule right.

  • Sup guys! Huge fan from Guatemala here! Your videos have been of great help with my husky mix! I found her tied on the side walk and I decided to take her under my wing! It's been one hell of a ride (I had no idea what I was getting myself into with a husky mix) but we managed and now she's been with me for almost 2 years! Thanks for all the information shared and the insights!

  • Hey SF! Good to see ya. Agree with everything in this video, least from my experience! My boy is the same on everything...attitude, does his own thing, recall is a hit or miss, even though he’s 8 yrs old. But I wouldn’t own any other dog. The drama, attitude, beauty, kindness all terrific in this breed. ❤

  • I started watching you when my boy was 5 months old.....I stopped watching you because your guys were so well behaved and after even 18 months my Loki was doing my head in! He is now almost 3, and believe me when I say, NEVER give up on your Husky! It's been a slog with lot's of tears and doubts! But he is such an amazing friend to me now, yeah he can still be a goose at times, but I'm so glad I stuck with him...I'm happy to now say that I have a very loyal amazing friend, and I could'nt imagine my life without him xxoo p.s I'm watching you again :)

  • Hi SF...Have a 2.5 year old Husky as well. Mostly everything said is on point. The playing rough and attitude is 100% on point. The only difference I found is mine does not like to roll in mud or dirty places (probs because she hates water and showers) but was glad to understand some of the behaviours were just instinct rather than individual dog traits. And the treat thing is a hit and miss as she is not very food driven. Thanks for posting this vid

  • My husky does most of those things . The digging and eating dirt. Usually digging for a grub. He finds all of the nuts that are buried.i easily take them away from him by trading for a treat. I used 4 40 lb of topsoil to fill his holes recently. I usually keep up better but I didn't over the winter this year. I only have one husky.😂 I love the breed they are so much fun and company.

    • God Bless you for having such a large husky. Sometimes the husky has malamute features. I have 2 rescues a boy 6 who is pure siberian and a little girl 5 that is a bit smaller but built very stout and can really pull. I had my hands ful for the 1st 5 years. I have friends who have mushing teams in canada & told they are puppies for the first 5 years. That was very true. I gave the Toddlers in a fur suit at least 1-2 hrs exercise for first 4 years. I also took my boy,Jake, to a class to learn how to sit,stay etc. But with Ruby,my girl I did not. I wish I had taken both but could not. They are both rescues. That is what I do. I know for sure they are growing for the first few years. Huskies are hard ti train but you are the Alpha and must have a lot of patience. When they are not exercised fully they dig,tear things up etc. They are hard to train but it is not impossible. Huskies want things to be their way & are extremely intelligent. They will try it their way every time but you are the Alpha so keep trying. Your kid sounds like a lot of fun.

    • not done growing. Are you sure about his weight? I've had 2 and they both topped out at 85 lb at about 3 and a half years old. But I've heard of bigger ones. Don't let him get fat though. That is something that you usually don't have to worry about with huskys. They are leaner in winter because they are more active in cold. They don't like outside much in the heat of the summer.

They tear though things in a short time. Now that mine is a little older I can ease up on it, but no longer than about 10 minutes as long as he isn't in a rambunctious mood.

  • Unless you’re able to exercise a husky daily and wear them out you should not get a husky. They’re psycho and full of energy and if they aren’t properly exercised or stimulated they will destroy your house and make you miserable. I thought it was just my husky that did this attitude I can't even begin to tell you she's only a year and a few months old and she wants pets with him as soon as you put her she doesn't want pets and so on you can't win with husky
