Today is my birthday and it's not going well. Thank you for uploading another awesome video. ❤(ӦvӦ。) I feel much better now. ❤(ӦvӦ。)❤(ӦvӦ。)❤(ӦvӦ。)
Yes Finally I have to re do the joji Paint I did hahah I kinda been using the white uni pen signo to make the wave. Because white calligraphy is rare in where I live
Damn right
"not paint water" lol I need that mug
I's there a matching one that says 'paint water' haha
@@LizGridleyArtist There is actually so the fact that he put his paint water in that cup is extra funny
@@Solsumi i know he has both cups, so i laughed so hard when i saw he did that.

Tip: If you use watercolor pencils that match the colors you will be putting paint over, this will eliminate the ugly pencil graphite lines that can’t be erased after you paint over them but still show through the paint. The pencil lines will simply blend in with the rest of the painting and disappear once you paint over them.
Woah, thanks for the tip!
Good one! never thought of that. and we do have watercolor pencils!
wish i read this before starting but alll good
@@Emy-sh1lo maybe for next time? Learning is all a part of the process to do and get better!
Brilliant. Thank you.
I like how all of your art seems to have whimsical features. You have droplets of color floating in the waves, fallowing the tide. One of my favorite examples of this is in your 16/17 sketchbook, where a girl is standing in a puddle filled with colorful goldfish. It reminds me of Ponyo 😊
Brain:Oh,got it. Hands: No you can’t.
I thought that too at first. Keep trying. You'll get there, I promise.
Too true..... too true.
Me every single time
Eyes: So beautiful! Wanna try it Brain: Yeah i can do it Hands: weeeelll...
This is relatable on a different level loooool

I've made some bookmarks out of my paintings, they are not as pretty as your waves but I love what I've created and it makes me happy to see them between the pages in the books that I'm studying with :) Thank you for the tips and ideas!
well done. We can feel the satisfaction
Great idea!
Wow! U just inspired me to create some for my sister, she loves reading 🙊💕
Woah i did the same Neve though someone else did it too
Anyone else here to get inspired to use your watercolours during Quarantine?? Nope? Ok 🤷🏼♀️
Me xD
I spent 6 hours watercolouring yesterday pls send help
I only have oils and poster colours, but I'm going to try anyway
Leo Schwieterman you’re on the right path my friend, I’m proud 😁 I’ve been doing the same
Midorikonokami Awesome! I bet it’ll be a vibrant master piece 😊😌
Me: I should really study for my math-exam on monday *Upload: WATERCOLOR TUTORIAL FOR WAVES * Me: or I could spend the whole weekend painting waves
Seems reasonable
Me with my statistics homework haha! I probably should finish it but these videos and trying them out
Learn your math so when you are 55yo, you are not painting under a tree and selling paintings on the street to make your rent money.

Did anyone else fall asleep to this after a couple months worth of borderline insomnia? The technique, soothing voice, calming music ***chef's kiss***
A severe case of artists' block has got me into the mode of watching art videos and tutorials for too long, desperately trying to find something to motivate me and kick my butt into gear - to start DOING art instead of watching. Your work is (or looks) so simple yet is still amazing. So I just got that kick I needed and it hurts in a good way. Thank you sooo much for that. I also subscribed.xx
YES, I ALWAYS BELIEVED THAT YOU'RE STILL ALIVE
I use watercolour a lot but I always try to stay exactly within the lines of my sketches. This video just reminded me how beautiful watercolour is when you just let lose
Omg i feel the same thing!

This tutorial is one of my faves. It's clear, concise and well done. Thanks for making painting beautiful waves achievable! I have one request: if it's not too much trouble could you elaborate a bit more on how you paint the white ink foam ripples? They look very realistic when you paint them. I'm having trouble making them look realistic.
Nice to meet you friend. I draw Korean pictures as a hobby. It's an honor if you're interested in my paintings.^^
I love how your colors always come out so vibrant.
In class we were asked to write about someone we are inspired by an I wrote about the lovely dude who made this super chill amazing video! Thank you!
What you wrote?? :)

Maybe it's just a coincidence that you uploaded. But i was feeling veryyyy frustrated. It's been a while since i draw. I even thought of quitting watercolor. But who knows? Maybe i will pick up those brushes and start again :)
Me too... tried to paint yesterday and felt frustrated... and now this! Is so inspiring...
What? Felt the same... I just don't get watercolor lately.
Just take a break from painting and try again after a few days, maybe that will help

@@lunartear84 The best way to paint watercolor like a professional watercolor artist is to watch ONLY watercolor artists you want to paint like. Never watch artists you don't want to paint like. Never. Watch guys like Alvero castignet.
Please make more videos like this! It's really nice to have these step by steps for people who have always wanted to learn how to watercolor paint but are too intimidated to start! Also, the supply list was v. helpful, since I would have no idea what I am doing/what to look for in the stores. Thank you for the informative tutorial!
I'm completely blown away, your style is absolutely stunning. ABSOLUTELY. STUNNING!
I never thought much of watercolor before. This is my favorite watercolor video EVAR! Now, I want to watercolor! I didn't know you could get results like this with watercolor before! Also, your laid back easy way of explaining what to do makes me think I could actually try this and get my kids involved. In anycase, I could have this video playing in the background all day long! Well done, and amazing art!
I haven't painted for a few weeks now, this lesson motivated me to get back into it. The techniques you demonstrate are gorgeous and I can't wait to practice them, not only for waves but also for other (background) textures. THANK YOU!!!
Loved the three different styles. This guy is so encouraging and mellow. I can't wait to try the abstract one.
Thank you so much for so thoughtfully sharing your skill on water colour waves! I have been pinning every Wave both large and small to get a feel for those elusive foam and light patterns. So, now I get it!! Freaking awesome!!👍👍👍😁
Your works are like a stunning blend of Art Nouveau and Chinese painting. I really like your techniques!
Yay!! I’ve been patiently waiting for this. I actually have a sketch that’s been waiting to be painted but I wanted to wait in hopes that this tutorial would come about. Thank You Thank You Thank You!! 🙏🏽 Amazing as always 🖤🖤
Definitely one of most engaging and approachable watercolor tutorials I've ever come across. Awesome stuff.
Your simple-to-follow techniques and calming voice made this one of the best tutorials I've seen! Keep being you, brother!
Just did 2 of them and it turned out amazing!! Best watercolor paintings i ever made! Thank u so much for this tutorial 💖💖💖
This is absolutely fantastic! And I also love how indigo and teal (a lot of times together) has become such a staple in both your pallette and style that it kinda has become your signsture.
I was just thinking about this :) So relaxing to look at, and my favorite colors.
Your videos are the only constant form of happiness I can find in this crazy world. Honestly, I am so thankful to you
Why does your cup that does indeed contain paint water say “not paint water”
It's certainly mean to be about clean water! By opposition with his other paint bowl
Or maybe it's just sarcasm type of mug for artists
ahaha ironic
Haha I have the same mugs there’s another one that says paint water to keep them separate but at this point whichever one is clean is the one I’m using so they’re ironic mugs now as I drink coffee out of the paint water mug and paint out of the other
Because he is a rebel. 😉
Oh my goodness!! I’ve been waiting for a video and it’s finally hear!😭 hope you have an amazing new year!💫
This is the best and most elaborate painting tutorial I've ever watched! Great Job!
I’m living for your channel. Iv been wanting to get back into art but have been feeling overwhelmed on where to start since it’s been years. Your videos are inspiring because your artwork, editing, and aesthetic is feirce but also just so educational . Thank you for sharing your talent with the world 👨🎨🥰
I just tried this and it came out amazing! I just want to thank you for dropping this awesome tutorial video. It was my first watercolour painting and I am happy that I followed your tutorial❤❤💕💕
Thank you so much for the lesson! I had a great time trying out the first technique tonight and I look forward to trying out the other two, as well, and to doing the first one over and over again in different ways. Your teaching style is amazingly clear and inspiring. This lesson totally invigorated and re-energized me; it got me out of a little painting rut I had been in. Thank you so much!

I just did the first wave effect @0:42 for a piece in my AP art class and I thank you tremendously because it prevented my bird’s eye view of water from being boring to look at
I followed the last tutorial with the boats and HOW FUN! I am just getting into playing with watercolours and this turned out well. Feeling encouraged so thank you!
This is absolutely stunning and I'm definitely trying it this weekend! Thank you!
These painting tutorials are a great way to learn, I recently learned in one hour than I have for a whole semester, for what i am looking for.

Whaaat that masking fluid is magic! I'm very new to watercolours and painting in general and this opens up so many new possibilities
I've been wanting to try painting waves for a while and this video conveniently popped up today. I'm feeling very inspired. Thanks for creating such a great tutorial - can't wait to try!
This tutorial has genuinely helped me so much to get back into watercolours again! I took a break from art and hadn’t touched watercolours in at least four years, but recently I bought myself a fresh Paul Rubens palette and gave it another go. Seeing how you use simple techniques to create the waves was really useful for understanding how the paints work :-)
the king is back with a new video! we've been blessed.
I'm one of this silent watchers, never comment; but now I have to. Only by watching your videos I feel like I can become better with art, you are so amazing! Your art is stunning as well, but it's your way to explain and how you talk about yourself and your art that makes me... inspired? You are a genius, thank you so much for all your hard work, thank you! And if you really became an art teacher some day, I quite sure that you would be amazing. We don't know eachother, but I hope that you will never loose yourself and the way your are. Thanks again for being you and our all great teacher here! (And sorry for my English...)
I finished this and it is one of my favorite pieces as a beginner. Thank you.
I just tried this and it turned out quite well! Thanks for having such easy to understand instructions - this will definitely be something I try again in the future to try and improve! :)

I love how you simplified the foam part of the waves.
your instructions are so helpful, you nicely explain what is important in every step and why. that's so great and the results are amazing.

I really love your art! It’s so inspiration and not to mention beautiful as heck!
this person is so fucking talented and creates such beautiful paintings
I thought this looked so easy... till I tried it!! Haaahaha!! Ive watched your video probably 5 or 6 times. Still working through my first practice run. Always loved the look of watercolor but IT AINT NO JOKE! You make it look effortless. Having loads of fun with this. Thanks for the challenge.
Totally agree. I am in the middle of trying it for the second time because I screwed up the first attempt by using cheap watercolor paper that buckled and didn't allow the paint to bloom properly.
Another really helpful video. I really love the wave patterns.
Omg watercolor is so satisfying, relaxing and i love your voice
I appreciate this tutorial, it's givin me some inspiration to actually try and work with watercolor. Thank you and your amazing artwork.
Wow, thank you so much! I've been wanting to learn to paint waves/ocean scenes for so long, but I'd never gotten the hang of water. This really helped!

Beautiful!!! Even just listening to the tutorial was soothing in itself!
Absolutely beautiful! I've planned on getting watercolours soon and drawing my anime with watercolour backgrounds. And this is an amazing tutorial video, thank you!
Thanks so much for this tutorial. I spent an evening following it, finally being creative. The results aren't perfect by all means, but I have learned so much about watercolour techniques and love the result. I can only encourage everyone to just give it a try :)
