  • Little tip: there's a vent in debug that won't attach to a wall. You can use it to fill in spaces and it comes in different swatches.

  • For the third hack, even if you don't own DHD or HSY, you can do it with the plastic shelf, the one that has no towels on it. It also slots almost anything and you can do the same trick, basegame approval. Edit: the shelf is called "Towel Storage Rack, Empty"

  • That's how I've been roofing all my houses since the sims 2 days! Lately I've been mixing it up and adding the occasional gabled roof piece, but the overlapping hipped roofs are always the core. Also from the sims 2, before i discovered the m key to change slots (sadly no longer in sims 4) i used placeholder objects to fill slots all the time. Usually the ikea vasen vase

  • My problem with LinZ is that you develop a personal relationship with and if it likes you things are awesome. But if it doesn't like you? It didn't like my sim because it took interactions wrong and life was bad, really really bad. Ok, I actually did stuff like that for the shelves in the same way we do for counters to make them more cluttered or just balanced sometimes, didn't know those shelves hold bigger items. That's huge. Wow, that space on the animal shed is awesome. I knew about the neck from English Simmer, she goes on about straightening the back as well.

  • The speaker probably never caught on too much bc when it first came out, if you placed it in a sims house it would corrupt your save. I’ve never used it bc, even though they fixed it, I’m still paranoid lol

  • 2:01 These words work only with Alexa but you need to first set up "The Sims" skill which the notification in the game won't tell you. After you set it up, it will just give you a trivia about The Sims if you say one of these words but because of how smart speakers work (they try to match your mumbling to a real word) it does work 1 out of 10 times. 😅

  • Another thing you can do in CAS is their back posture 🙂, I believe if you hover over their upper back (around where the shoulders blades are) you can make them have a good posture (straight) or (a very good one for elders) have them slouch over, I personally don’t use it often, BUT it is a nice detail. 🙂

  • Hack 3 awe remember when we had to download the red shelf for this. The red shelf still works a little better because you can just delete the shelf and the object stays but these work arounds are wonderful.

  • You can change their posture too there is a slider on the back on profile view you can give them great posture or a terrible slouch and I haven’t tree this but I’d assume it’s possible since the feet have sliders but try manipulating hand side next time you’re in CAS

  • farble is a show with billy bob thorton. (I think he is the guy that dated Angelina Jolie and they wore eachothers blood on their necklase) - From an Amazon Echo Dot. Edit: apparently a doofka is a clear plastic cup with a girl on one side and a boy on the other side. Chumcha is apparently a pokemon.

  • One thing that I find annoying with the Lin-Z speaker is when it orders some free pizza. I eventually get a message from the delivery guy about nobody answering at the door... But he never ever show up, EVEN if I have a Sim standing at the door waiting for him and me doing nothing but watch for his arrival. I got dozens of pizza left to the ants... That are nowhere to be seen.

    • If you have the lot trait private dwelling or even if you had clicked on the front door and had clicked disallow solicitors both will forbid the pizza delivery person & the zoomers delivery person from arriving at your door.

    • Not specifically a LinZ thing for me, but I've had problems with my sims ordering pizza since release. Sometimes they will order and it will say its on the way and just never show up. I eventually figured out not to bother ordering late at night, because it never works. I haven't tried in a long time though. So if LinZ is ordering you late night pizza, that could be the problem. It's like the pizza place closes but they still let you order lol

  • I did actually try to become friends with the smart speaker once (it came up as part of a midlife crisis and I decided to make that his main goal) but after sim weeks of doing nothing but asking for trivia and jokes (the only conversation options it has at low relationship)… I still had low relationship. How in the world did you actually make friends with it? Or did you just cheat the relationship level?

  • I think that the feet slider for foot wideness is actually bugged, incomplete, or misleading because I'm pretty sure that sliding sideways from the front does the same thing that it would from the side. There is a mod that makes the wideness slider work properly (or exist at all) though.

    • I think on console for free placing it's a toggle, not a button you hold: Free rotate - PS: L1+R1, RIGHT STICK XBOX: LB+RB, RIGHT STICK Free place - PS: TOGGLE WITH L2 XBOX: TOGGLE WITH LT
