By the age of 25, Rodtang has scored over 250 wins, claimed 3 prestigious belts and set several records in ONE. The Iron Man has held the Asian promotion’s title for almost 4 years, justifying his nickname over and over again. It's time to enjoy the reign of the Thai Tyrant, who rightfully bears the crown as the best Muay Thai fighter at present.

      @Jangz_@Jangz_10 ай бұрын
    • @@Jangz_ No, I don't think that it is about intelligent or bravery at all. The closest that I can come up with is at a point under choke hold he didn't have awareness to tap out, which I think it can be harmful to any combatants. In fact the ref. should stop it before he lost consciousness. I do believe that bravery was already demonstrated that Rod Tang and his team agree to fight in this rules. What should be taught before the match is the combatant should know when to tap out if he/she can't solve any choke he was under and left it for the ref. Same go for any striker to forfeit if he is unable to defense him/herself. Different in tell-sign in grappling arts can be seen clearer, as upset come-back is rarely happen, due to progression of a choke often slower compared to an stray come-back shot.

    • Don't forget that he started at the age of 8, muay thai fighters are "older" than their age, don't know how his brain is right now, but ONE FC made his career and life easier with fewer fights than a classic Muay Thai fighter

    • What are you on about??? An Aura reminiscent of mythical athletes bla bla bla 🤣. He is one of many, nothing to special for a Muay Thai Champion. There have been many great Muay Thai Champions over the years. 300+ fights is not so special in Thailand guys. Its ok you guys like the guy, but keep it real. He is a good Muay Thai Fighter.

  • I do like how in this fight 12:50 you notice that Rodtang is in a huge disadvantage because of height since the champion can just keep his range and keep pushing him out and Rodtang is trying to find a way to counter. But after a certain point he adapted and is willing to trade blows instead to move in closer.

  • Things are just different in Thailand. The fighting spirit of youth is GREATLY respected and utilized; your trainers will work the hell out of you and make sure you get as many fights as humanly possible before you burn out. There are no notions that you'll be able to fight at the level indefinitely -- you need to destroy as many people as possible before your body slows down. And the respect and humility of Thai champions is amazing; they are so kind and well-mannered. Absolutely no one from the western world would ever assume they had even ever been in a fight let alone hold belts in the most brutal fighting sport. There is no trash talking between competitors.
