A guy works a full time job and his whole shop burns down. He sweeps up, moves back into his old garage and still makes more content than most of the automotive youtubers!
exactly what a worker
Brent is teaching us to get back on our feet and start over. A great lesson to learn..
Team Halfass is amazing.
Full wank bro!
Brent is an Industry all by himself...
We must not forget..Brent is a cut above the rest. He really enjoys what he does and looks forward to a difficult task and thinking it out before attempting. Thanks Brent for letting us look over your shoulder.
Nothing more satisfying than taking something most would discard and makeing something functional out of it
Brent, great to see your creativity survived a heavy hit! Waylon Wire cites you as a invaluable inspiration after one of his one-off rat rods caught fire inside his garage. He said it hit him really hard until he realized how lucky he was that he only has one project to rebuild. He truly appreciated how well you've handled and transcended a profound setback. You have more fans and supporters out there than you may realize. Thank you for being the man you are!
A+ for the plasma cutting cantina music. 😂
Brent in the garage--the perfect ending to any day!😎
I live in LA. You are recapitulating the hot rodding scene here in the late 1940s/early 50s. Having fun taking old cars and hacking the hell out of them. Back yard seat of the pants innovation. It all began with Model T frames and flathead V8s. You've pushed the technology to Go Pro cameras, plasma tables, TIG welders and turbochargers. Thanks for feeding our vicarious imaginations.
Brent is the perfect example of determination, persistence and a never ever give up attitude! One of the best channels on youtube!
Brent, this is some straight up Mad Max fabrication, i love it.
I can't explain it but that cow-dog makes me smile, every time I see him. Oh yeah, car stuff good too...
This was exhausting what a great job in such a small space, you just blew the guys at midas away in 43 minutes, great work Brent and I can't wait to hear this one fire up
those home made head pipes would look very cool on a flathead V8
Always enjoy the making something from what you having in spare material saved, it's like watching an artist create a vision in his mind.
I never seen exhaust like that in my life that's an original 👍
Wow, what a complicated fabrication! Nice job!
Its gonna work just fine. You are such an inspiration Brent. So many of us fuss and complain about trivial things in life, while you went through one of the worst experiences, other than a death, than most of us gearheads can fathom. Yet you just had a beer, and started picking up the pieces. You are gonna have alot better setup than you had before, and you deserve every bit of the good that the future holds in store for you. God bless you and your family, Brother.
A nice bit of "feeserin" and "noodlin" through those finicky issues. Gotta say, I watch a lot of YT channels that cover a huge variety of subject matter, you have the best music loops plugged in. Thanks for sharing your life with us.
Great welding. Looks super cool. Doing great. Can't wait to see the finished product. Keep up the great work
Sweet job on that manifold
Nice job on the manifold Brent!
One thing I really love about your channel is your ability to make things that you could easily buy. Adds an extra dimension of depth and sets your builds apart. Keep it up Brent.
I watch you BUILD a Manifold and i dream how i would have loved to be able to do that on 1947 Chevy as I put the 57 Olds 371. I have the flanged plate but no pipes, cutter, grinder and tools except a hack saw. You make everything so magical. Thank You for sharing your wonderful world. Take care and keep em coming, love it, Dennis
Nice Brent great to see you take on the challenge and win with the manifold. Thanks for sharing.
Love the flow of this video. Handheld angles, and a nice amount of talking vs. working. With just the right amount of music. Excellent form, my friend...
Brent, did you here that Ken aka Waylon Wire had a fire.... burnt his Dodgilac and chard up his shop some.... what a weird year, first it was Gentry and Son lost his shop in a fire, then you and now Ken has a fire... its not fair that 3 of the greatest guys here on KZhead has gone though this but thank God no one has been hurt... All 3 of you have been inspiring to me and I just want to thank you all for teaching me all that you have!!!
Interesting to watch you work with your new environment,
Nice fit digging it Thanks for sharing
Real nice job Brent looks great
Excellent work Brent
It's coming together nicely.
Metal sculpture, amazing work.
The 54 is coming along it's something to watch you build a manifold
Wow, that plasma table cutter is working cool !
Enjoy watching you fabricate. You got skills.
A lesson in patience every time.
That manifold is bad ass.
Great video, Pablo lives for the truck. Take care
Great exhaust fabrication Brent , look foreward to the next part! Well done.
Header flange plazma cutter'd, da log's kinda plazma cut too, freehand'd header build'n, a tig here n a tig dere header weld'd everywhere, crossover crossover send da wastegate on over dere, dat wast'd gate cross'd over. Pablo n Buddy r loyal dawg boyz!
That is one heck of an exhaust log. superior effort, worthy results. And far more entertaining than the evening news, or the 2 hrs i spent picking Black Berry's for freezing.
Amazing so nice to see Brent make whatever he wants to. a cut above the rest for sure.
That’s the wildest exhaust conglomeration I’ve ever seen hope it works and doesn’t cause any other problems, pretty wiled 😮❤😂
Nice job squeezing that downpipe in there
Thanks for the inspiration.
Necessity is the mother of invention and you certainly invented some nice, custom exhaust work there. Way to go!! Love the background music as well 👍
I love no matter the issues you always come through. Whether it's perfect or not you teach us never give up. Your very uplifting.
Love the way you just whipped up your own header . I am getting ready to start building a set for my sbc in a S10.
Im thoroughly enjoying this build.. Thats one of my fav 50's body style & I think it'll be way cool when finished.
Minty ! Thank You for sharing your video, and letting us hang out . Later ...
Haha. Pablo's like "whatever" just keep the a/c going.....
$1,000 custom exhaust manifold Well Brent , this exhaust episode sure was a big win
Always good to see Frankenstein in his laboratory creating life from the dead! Good show Brent!
Wow Brent, nice job on that exhaust manifold. I bet you could sell those as fast as you could make them but then it wouldn't be fun. Great video, good to see you in the creative mode..
Great video as always.
Stepping up are we, with that new welder. Cool dude. Enjoyed the feed. Ronnie.
I think it's cooler than factory ones keep inspiring us little people to work on are own trucks
Good job .Like the home-made know how that you do so well.😊😊
Thanks for the video.
Awesome job on the exhaust Brent keep up the great job
I'm quite impressed at how well the plasma table managed on that pipe! Almost seems like if the speed was a little slower, the torch-height adjustment mighta made it work!
Nice job, Brent
Nice work!
Cool, very resourceful.
Nice work
I love your positive thinking. Rare.
Gotta love watching you fabricate parts. Your ability to look at the piece and visualize the parts needed is simply amazing...and you make it look easy (which it isn't)...
Excellent video Brent :) yes Pablo The Supervisor Dog 🐕 and Buddy the Dog 🐕 take turns and guide to with lots goodness helping hints too! I like exhaust did too the left thought might squeeze pipe on back so won't hit steering rod but didn't half too !!
You Killed it Brent why not bring everything up
That’ll work just dandy
Welcome Back into the shop. God is good. Keep up the great work once again.
Cool job 😄👍👍👏👏👏
Wow it's coming along better than I had ever imagined! Great job as always Brent! Also loved watching the crossover on Karls channel Godspeed!
Wow that’s all a tight fit but you did it 👍👍
Pablo is rocking😁
Brent, you always have a plan. Most people would never attempt that exhaust system to put a Turbo on it. You're always thinking out of the box. Great job
that is a awesome manifold. good job Brent
1st just in time for beer and snacks thanks Brent .
I love this build, so excited to be back on it. I know its not popular.....buuut. More turbo LS stuff!
That's a Mad Max manifold right there...
This car is going to sound awesome
Great job on fabrication of exhaust
Just brilliant Brent....such talent,,thank you
feels like im watching one of those street artists that paint an amazing painting in front of you and then turn it upside down and its another painting -- only with metal and an angle grinder
I enjoy making things that aren't easy too.
You're a wizard....how You see these things in Your mind...how that manifold came together..wow
Brent... The Mad Genius
Well Brent , this exhaust episode sure was a big win, even plasma cutting those holes was a good experiment that kind had a good outcome ...🌟✨👍
Very good job ❤
Love your videos regards from Norway
Hey! I think I saw an early chev grille next to the plasma shed door... i need that!! 😁
Well done and if you have to make it it’s always better
New Tee shirt “Not a big deal”. 😁
I've been trying to be more productive when I'm working on things. Used to just be happy to be messing with cars but now I wanna be fast
Young man you are my hero, because you can take anything and make it work. Also give me courage to keep on working doing my best,( thank you)
Hey Brent with that much power under that thing will scream!
I would be lost, but you just push on! Great Video.
Great job on the manifold Brent. So enjoy watching your fabrication skills. Give Pablo a ear rub for me. Take care my friend. 👍
Hi Brent, another interesting vid, I like the end with Pablo. It looks like you may get short of room with him pushing so close. What a great buddy.
Great video. Love the creative process.
Awesome as Always... love your enthusiasm ..
Glad to see you having fun again at working on these old cars. Your fabrication has not skipped a beat. Thank you very much 💯👍👊❤️
