Hyundai Motor launched its ST1 Cargo and Cargo Refrigerated vehicles, part of its new business platform and this sure will revolutionize the whole commercial market at least here in Korea, hope to see the wave continue overseas as well! 🚀
✅ Chassis cabs, with basic features, can be converted into various vehicles
✅ Such as police operation units, emergency rescue units, campers, and electric bike charging vehicles

  • That flagtype glass to see the corner is sooo useful. I believe I'm someone who drives pretty carefully, but sometimes when I make a turn, it has happened multiple times where I did not see a pedestrian. More cars should start having this option i think.

  • Love it. But I am surprised that the headlights andturn signals are the old fashioned incandescent lights versus something that takes less energy like LEDs. I wonder if the cost difference is realy that wide.

  • 상용차에서 더 이상 뭘 바라는건지 ㅎㅎ 이런 모듈러 방식의 장점은 회사들이 원하는 방식으로 얼마든지 커스터마이징이 가능하다는 거죠. 그게 업무효율성을 증대시키고 일하는 사람도 능률이 올라가죠. 일반 앰뷸런스 가격이 엄청 비싼데 ev로 만들면 아마 가격도 내려갈것 같네요.

    • 군대에서 다양한 상용차를 운용해 본 입장으로 계단 한두 개 수준으로 낮아진 턱만 해도 정말 엄청나게 혁신적으로 피부로 확 와닿았습니다. 대한민국 물류 및 도로 모습이 많이 변화될 것 같습니다 :)

  • No range on the battery less than 200 miles, when you start applying load to battery running all those accessories that reduce the range even more. Imagine ST1 with low emissions diesel or gas engine easily get 300 to 500 miles a tank.

    • If ST1s were ever to hit other parts of the globe, Hyundai will definitely factor in the driving distance required for according markets. The range provided is more than sufficient to do days of deliveries as commercial vehicles that ST1s will replace is about 42km per day on an average.

    • ST1 is korean domestic model for now. but it has potential to extend upto 84kwh without any structural modification. the batthery is actually the same battery with Kia K9's.

    • 현행 컬럼타입의 SBW가 들어갔다면 더할 나위 없겠지만 그럼 끝도 없겠죠 ㅠㅠㅎ 대한민국 물류 모습이 정말 많이 바뀔 것 같습니다. 개인적으로 너무너무 감명 깊은 차량이었습니다.

    • @@CarSceneKorea 저 역시 확장성을 염두한 구성에 감격했는데 사람들은 본질 외의 것들만 가지고 부정정으로 보는듯 하네요.. 헤드라이트는 개인이 바꾸면 되는데 배터리를 싸구려 LFP넣으면 개인이 어떻게 하기 힘들잖아요.

    • 저도 저거 보고 오히려 현대가 현업자분들 피드백 많이 받고 만들었구나 감탄했습니다 빠르게 여기저기 이동하는 직업이다 보니 이리저리 부딪치고 긁힐 텐데 수리 비용 생각하면 멋지지는 않더라도 사용자 입장에선 저게 맞죠

    • 이번 ST1이 현업에 계신 종사자분들이나 업계 관련자분들은 본질을 꿰뚫어 보시지만 승용차에 익숙하신 분들은 헤드라이트, 소재, 휠, 이런 것에 눈이 먼저 가기 마련인 듯합니다. 저는 군대에서 포터, 마이티 등 많이 운용해 봐서 어떤 점이 어떻게 좋은지가 한눈에 보이고 정말 와닿았습니다.

  • Those halogen front lights? Disaster. An EV cannot use halogen. So illogical as LEDs are way more efficient. Steering wheel? Meh. Also, why not cover the wheels? They look ugly as hell and not efficient. Also it looks so boxy. It can be improved on many aspects. Didn't like it. 👎
