  • As an autistic person with severe sensory sensitivity who's been suffering under daily distress in a very noisy urban environment and who's been forced to live in home isolation since 2014 as a result, listening to nature sounds videos like this one while wearing my noise-cancelling headphones is the closest I can get to a normal life until I can escape this hellish nightmare that I'm trapped in. Thank you for this video (and also for your fireplace video, which is one of my favourites).

    @ramiloish@ramiloish2 ай бұрын
    • This video completely disconnects my brain from stress. Maybe autistic people are nature people forced to live in modern societies and cities? The absence of nature sounds is so unnatural to the subconscious. In natural environments it is a sign of danger if the forest goes silent.

    • God I hope you are free of that now. I had a job like that in the 90s until I had to quit when my wrists gave out. This is the future that was supposed to be so great? Pushing buttons like George Jetson for a couple hours a day or like Richard Brautigan wrote, computers would do just about everything and we could be free of our labors and restored to nature. Instead, the only birds and flowers and meadows we can enjoy are virtual ones on these machines... the more technology we invented/discovered, the big bosses piled more work on us, 18 hour days, weekends, vacations, the work never ends. I hope you see this. I hope you are free.

  • Thank you so much for this. ❤️I lost my home & yard & ‘my’ birds to escape abuse in a divorce and have been stuck in cramped rentals but my much beloved cat endured all with me until an abrupt cancer dx that took him very quickly (less than a week from playful bright-eyed to listless hanging on) I got to spend his final day playing these birds as our constant companions as reminders of the life we once enjoyed and the goal I’ve set to once again be in my forever home even if I’m an old lady by then. I always thought my buddy would reach that goal with me but I had to let him go to end his suffering. I held him for his final breaths as your birds surrounded us in our cramped unfamiliar space and that eased us both back to better times and steadfast hopes for a future among the beautiful joyous creatures who unlike humanity have never hurt us. I feel my dearest kitty friend flew free then but surrounds me with love still. Thank you so enormously 🙏🏼

  • Footicapped after knee surgery exactly a month ago, practically for my birthday. I love that the bluebells are out in force for my birthday every year. Didn't see many this year, just a few in my garden before I went into hospital, and none from then on. Recovery takes long, I won't be able to drive for a while yet and by then the season will be well over. When the leaves burst out in force, the days of the bluebells are numbered. So I am deeply grateful for this treat that lets me catch up.

I lost my home in divorce fleeing abuse and have been in tiny rental housing with no connections to my much beloved wild things that I used to commune with outside my home. We were from different parts of the UK, and had never met before. But for a week and a half, they were the brothers I never had. In a forest like this I built a den with them. Sword-fought them with sticks. Generally messed around in the woods. We even had a mini sleepover on the last day of the camping trip. • When the UK Classic FM music station was launched many years ago they had six months of pre-broadcast time playing birdsong. This was for testing etc. This was the best by far broadcasting they have ever done! Since then with all the chat, the racing tips (in the early days) and the awful advertinsing it has never been as good as the bird song period!

What if you are confined to a hospital bed or something that prevents you to go outside. These streams are great to get your spirits up. And who's to say reality isn't a illusion upon itself.
