This one is about an hour and 10 minutes if you want to hang out and chat with us during the premiere!
What's better than a father/son trip! You two are magic together!
Thanks! We have a great time.
To quote my husband, who’s watching…….”these guys and FOOD, I love it!”
Can't wait! Every single video of yours is always a great time. You inspired us to start our own travel channel.
That is so cool to hear!
The Flintstone village brings back memories. I was there 50 years ago and the characters were walking around town...they scared me to death. 😂
Wow! It was probably like Disneyland at that time with the characters.
Always when i see videos or documentaries about such landscapes in the US i think to myself: how cool would it be to be there in around 1850 to 1880 What i also wanted to say.... thank you guys for making those amazing videos... i always feel like be there with you. Your style to make those videos is unique and exceptional good... thumbs up and keep it up :)
I often think the same thing. Those people back then were looking at the same natural beauty I am now. Yeah 1860 is the reference point I always think of. We really appreciate your watching and insightful comment!
I just went to the Grand Canyon, Sedona, and Saguaro NP two weeks ago. It was absolutely beautiful. Only regret is that I didn't get the chance to go up to Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend. Love these videos. They're so informative and help me a lot when trying to plan trips.
Always a reason to go back but sounds like you went to some of the best spots!
It was awesome!! Glad I was able to join you in the premiere 🙌🏽
Thanks for coming! We always love seeing you at the premieres and lives!
Had a similar experience at Mt Washington in NH when we went there a few years ago. Got to the "viewing" area and it was snowing like a blizzard in July. Temp at the cog rr in the entrance 70s. Temp at the top under 30°.
This really makes me want to visit Arizona next winter! Thanks Josh and Pops
You should! It is a great state to explore!
My family and I stayed at the Cameron Trading Post July, 2023. I highly recommend. Great food, neat gift shop, clean rooms. But it was HOT in mid-July!
We ate at Haunted Burger tonight. It is such a gorgeous drive. Staying the night in Flagstaff tonight. We decided to take the scenic drive through Sedona not realizing it was 30 min of steep mountain incline switchbacks in the snow 😮
Really awesome. Fun, but chill. Watching your Pops really makes me miss mine. Keep him close. Lovely memories you’re sharing.
I've seen the Grand Canyon full of clouds, and it's still beautiful.😅 I lived there from 8 to 13 years old. My dad took us all over Arizona... including Bedrock LOL. Your video is bringing back many fun memories. Thank you for sharing
My husband and I love your channels. We especially enjoyed this video of so many beautiful places in our state of Arizona. We love how you incorporate the history of the places you visit into your videos. My husband Craig is a railroad fan and we appreciated your knowledge and explanation of the El Tovar Hotel as a former Harvey House! Most other videos we've seen of various hotels near the rail lines fail to mention the whole existence of Harvey Houses. While we haven't stayed at the El Tovar yet, we have stayed at another former Harvey House, the La Posada Hotel in Winslow; it was a really cool experience.
I really enjoyed El Tovar. With many of the old National Park spots, you trade the quaintness and history for less modern conveniences and I am happy to make that trade myself.
I’m wondering Josh, I haven’t heard you mentioning your Mom. You two are awesome bringing all those scenic places, museums, hiking trails, etc, etc. thank you.
This is a wonderful video of Arizona! When you were at the Hall of Flame Museum in Phoenix, at 34:45 this firetruck was donated by my friend Alexander Black here in Douglas, AZ. He was a firefighter originally from Syracuse, NY. I believe that's where the firetruck was originally from. Alex would drive it in local parades, but had not restored it to this point. He donated it to this museum in his will. I'm sure Alex would be pleased with the beautiful restoration job they did on it. He also donated a large amount of antique fire alarm boxes, nozels and other firefighting memorabilia to the National Firefighter Museum. Thanks to you and your family for all the great videos!
That’s so cool!
Great video. Love the way you talk about history, museums, restaurants and nature. 😊
Thank you very much! Appreciate the comment!
I wish I could travel during the winter time like this. It would be amazing to have these experiences without all the summertime congestion.
Been watching your videos since RIGHT before COVID, you and your family have inspired a number of our trips, including a few cross-country ones! Super hype about this one and it did not disappoint! Is that YOUR Tesla too?! Congrats, you deserve it. Truly one of the few genuine people on this platform. Keeping doing what you do!
Another stunning video! Love you guys!
Love this Channel ❤
We love you!
I love all of your travel videos! Thank you!
Really appreciate that!
As always, love your work. It's an inspiration. Thank you for opening our eyes for fun things to do!
Always makes me smile watching you and your dad, you obviously have fun together everywhere you go. Arizona is on our bucket list for a road trip, even more so now after seeing this. Great video. ❤🇨🇦
You might not have gotten the views you wanted but you show a side of the GC that most of us never seen. I didn't know it snows there so thank you for sharing this.
Sorry Josh, Pops beat you on the draw for sure. Great video! I might never get there, but I sure want to go. Thanks for sharing!
❤ I love your videos and the way you narrate them ❤
Very kind of you to say that!
Your rim to rim hike was the very first of your videos I had seen. I've seen almost everyone of them since. Get up the good work!
Thanks again you two. This will also be one of the road trips we are doing when we are there in a few months. Loved the animal park at the end too… especially with the Australian native birds (budgerigars and lorikeets). As always you’ve added a few more things to our itinerary! 😊
Great. Can't wait. Kind regards from Adelaide, South Australia 🇦🇺
Hope you enjoy it!
I had a cousin that back in the 40s, with her husband, bought land in and around Sedona and then later sold off lots. They became prosperous but her house is small and simple with a great view of the organ mountains. She died at age 96 in the 1990s. They had no children.
It is amazing to be one on one with Nature, without crowds. I had that kind of unforgettable experience once visiting Luray Caverns in Shenandoah during COVID-19 time. I was there before as well with regular crowds, so i can compare.
Oh wow, I have been to that cave, would be amazing without a lot of people!
I can't wait! We will have the popcorn ready! Thanks Josh!
So awesome! I need to cook some popcorn too!
@ThroughMyLens we so enjoyed it!!! like I told your Dad, every Saturday night we watch your videos, it's our thing!
You two are a dynamic duo for sure! 👍🏻 Excellent video. I’ll be referring back to it next year when we go to Arizona to copy most of it.
Thx for the kind words!
So a couple of things I would recommend....in Yarnell, AZ, they have a beautiful shrine to St. Joseph. There is also a state park with a memorial to the firemen who lost their lives in the Yarnell fire.
You've definitely given me some ideas for my December Arizona road trip! Thanks Josh and Pops!
What a fun trip throughout AZ with your pop. Thanks for sharing.
What a great video eclipsed only by your Alaska video, the best so far!
i’m so excited i found you… i love to travel …
We are glad you found the channel as well!
I always wanted to Visit Arizona. !! Thank you so much for showing us Arizona !
I enjoyed this video of my adopted state…thank you for your work!
Thank you for showing off some amazing highlights of my home state and hometown, Yuma!
I just love you guys! I'm so glad i stumbled across you a few months ago & have absolutely loved every single one of your videos! You have a lot of the same interests that i do! I appreciate your opinion/views on all ... the food, the history of our great country, the museums, ... everything!! And i love the way you two interact! Cherish these days together ... not a lot of people can do that with their parents/children. It's definitely a blessing ❤ keep up the great work! 👍🏻
You are so right about cherishing time together. We often will talk about how our time together is finite so we try to enjoy every moment!!
Thank you for visiting the Rez It's great to know you enjoyed it as much as I did watching Thanks for sharing Josh and Pops
I think this is my all time fave of all your vids. It took me back to the early 2000's when I took pretty much this same road trip each year. 🎶🎵"I just can't wait to get on the road again" 🎵🎶
Hi Josh and Pops, everyone in my family loves your videos, especially our autistic son :) he loves the sceneries and we think he finds your voice calming 😊 maybe you guys could do a video on North and South Dakota sometime in the future :) we’d love that!
Actually, that is on the docket. Hopefully will do that soon. So glad your son enjoys the videos.
Great video! Can you post a link to your dad’s channel?
Yes I have been looking all over for it too
Beckley, WV has a really good mine tour as well. You get to ride into the mine for the tour, and they have a mining town set up to tour as well, with old building on site showing you how the miners lived. This looks like such an amazing road trip!
Looking forward to it!
Thanks for stopping by!
I love this. So many attractions you visited that I now want to go visit.
Wow, i havent been to the chapel of the holy cross in 40-ish years, and i had (quite frankly) completely forgotten about it until you showed it, and suddenly a handful of memories flooded back into my brain. Amazing how the brain locks away memories sometimes! Stunning footage you captured, though. Even if it was overcast, it was simply beautiful! ❤
Amazing trip, the way a person needs to see the west. I loved the video. The desert is really beautiful and the rock formations are beautiful.
It's funny that not everyone enjoys the desert. But I'm with you. It is pretty amazing.
I visited Arizona in 1997 and drove almost 1500 miles within the state. It was the best vacation in my life. I remember the Phoenix Airport had some construction going on when we landed. Good old days.
The sights near Flagstaff are all worth visiting as well. Wupaki, Sunset Crater, Tuzigoot, and Walnut Canyon to name a few. The best hot dogs can be found at Ted's in Tempe😋
Thank you guys for a great tour.
Thank you guys. What a beautiful state and so much to see and learn.
Our pleasure! Glad you enjoyed it
Really enjoyed this video. Great job you two
Perfect timing to post this video! Heading to Arizona in May. Always love your videos! Hi Pops!
What's up Raul!
I have always wanted to visit Arizona. You have given me many more reasons!
Absolutely wonderful thank you.
Came for the travel tips. Stayed for Pops ♥
Sedona is one of our favourite places in the US. 5 years ago on the 6th April 2019 I claimed the bell rock, 24 hours later I had to have a quadruple heart bypass at the hospital in Flagstaff. Can’t thank the surgeon and staff enough, they were fantastic. Hope to go back again soon . We watch all your vids and agree with all the other comments they are great. Mick from England
So we Love your tours. My wife and I live in Phoenix. I have worked in Sedona. Even proposed to my wife in the church on the hill and wedded up on Cathedral rock. Have friends in Tucson. Glad you got to Eegees. We have been to quite a few of the same spots you went on this trip. Being a Native, I have seen So much. The goat kissing was the best. Love that you have your dad to go with you. Lost mine a few years ago. Cherish your time with him. If you have a FB account. Love to follow you. Thx
another gem, as expected!!!!
Absolutely loved this video!!!
Nice to see all these places again.
I live near Tucson and have done a lot of these tours and visited these places but still learned a lot! Thx!
So cool you were able to see a few new things. I love the Tucson area!
We did the az rt 66 in January. Followed all your recommendations from your video. It was great thank you
So cool, I love Route 66 in Arizona, it is really special!
I can’t believe you got to see antelope canyon by yourself. I saw it in a huge tour group that took several trucks to hold everyone. At least 50 people. It’s so incredible! The ride to there was pretty wild. lol. We got done with our tour an hour before sunset. I love the path out so traffic stays one way. We got horseshoe bend at sunset. It was incredible. Didn’t get to glen canyon or the lake. Horse shoe bend was amazing.
Yea, we were blown away! Such a cool experience. I wish we would have gotten to see sunset at Horseshoe Bend but it was cloudy. So cool you got to see it!
I’d ❤ to see Tennessee! I spent some time there while in grad school but not enough time to explore like I would prefer. Caves, history, FOOD…. I want to go back!!!!
Just love your videos and the father/ son interaction!!
Just did a family trip in March myself and went to Arizona. Did almost the same except in reverse! Started in Phoenix, stayed in Sedona then went to Grand Cayon then Antelope Canyon and Glen Canyon Dam and back to Sedona. Long drivesbut well worth it! The fog happened to us too when we got to Grand Canyon but it cleared up in almost an hour and a half.
So glad it cleared up! Can be such a bummer to work to get there and not see the incredible beauty.
I love your videos and the interactions with Pops , very special memories.
We have a good time!
Darn, It looks like I may have missed the live stream. Absolutely incredible episode I love western films & western history. I really enjoyed Tomb stone. Kind regards from Adelaide, South Australia
Always look forward to your videos! Father son chemistry compliments your content very well :) motivates me to explore Arizona next this year.
Thanks for watching! It is a gorgeous state.
Thank you so much to you and your father for doing the State of Arizona justice! I've lived here all my life and there's always something to do and always someplace to go. Glad to see you both enjoyed our state. You two are amazing together. Keep having fun & showing us many unique & interesting places. God Bless from Tucson.❤
Thanks for the kind words! It is gorgeous state.
This video came in handy. I’m currently in Phoenix and was wondering what to do. Thanks for all the great ideas
Glad it was helpful to your current trip!
Excellent video again! Love historian pops! You guys made me want to check out Tombstone now!
Thanks! Josh has been encouraging me to do the history more. Trying to make that a theme in my other channel.
We lived in AZ for 27 years and owned a second home condo several more, and I've been pretty much all the places you went plus everywhere else. I loved revisiting! I know you went to GSMNP and BRParkway, but it would be great for you to do a full tour of TN and visit the many amazing state parks and waterfalls.
We have watched your video twice & love it. Love your dad.
You are very sweet! Thank you!!
Great episode!
We’ve been to hole in a rock a bunch! It’s our tradition to stop by anytime we fly into Phoenix and take in the views! Haven’t gotten to go to Antelope Canyon yet, but hopefully soon!! Another great video!!
Great video!! My mom and I are going to Arizona in September…mainly Sedona and Grand Canyon, but I definitely have some great ideas on how to spend our time! 😁
So awesome, I hope you love it! Such a special area
Thanks, it was fun. 🤙
Sooo still LOVE ❤ your adventures !!!
So much great information ❣️ you and your Pops are a great team,
Thx! We sure have a good time traveling together!
Awesome video!!! Go Illini!!!🧡💙
I was in Page just under a month ago, incredibly beautiful place. It was an unexpected visit on my way to the Grand Canyon, so i didnt see as much as you did, but really enjoyed the scenery there.
I was introduced to Sonoran Dogs at Tacos Y Hot Dogs El Manantial in south Tucson. It's just a little cash only food truck but pretty amazing. $4 gets you a great hot dog. It's good living in Tucson, especially if you do like Mexican/Sonoran food. I've become a pozole fan recently. My last trip to the Grand Canyon also featured snowy, foggy weather, but there were some nice breaks in the clouds for some good photo ops. I do love the Grand Canyon in winter due to the lack of crowds. I am envious of the fog you got at the US 89 viewpoint south of Page! That was amazing! I've been back in Arizona almost three years now and there's still new things I'm discovering. I'm more of an outdoors sight seer, so place like Chiricahua & Organ Pipe national monuments are of more interest than indoor museums. I also enjoy showing Arizona natives their own state since it seems like so many people never explore their immediate surroundings properly.
I had my first Sonoran Dog at that very stand a week ago. Small world!
Pops is The Best ❤😂
I agree 😀
Where do I know him from?
Very well done.
Great video! Informative and fun!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I live in Tempe and you did a great job.
I like the faster pace of this video! No more slow boring…
just came back from horseshoe bend and zion great place to visit
Nice video. Thank you for sharing. 👏👌👍
I love your videos, I came to this channel from your California through my lens channel. I think you should do Oregon next 👍
Great video !!!
My husband and I just got through watching this episode! We are absolutely inspired to do a Arizona Vacation! Antelope Canyon...WOW!!! Was it hard to make reservations? Josh, I think Pops may have won the quick draw😂
Thanks for the great travel tips...and doughnut info 😜 You both look like a fun team. We have 4 more 'lower 48' states to hit this year to finish off the U.S., then off to Alaska. Thanks for that video as well. We hope to run into you guys along the road... maybe at a doughnut shop? 🧆🍡☕ This year, Texas to Kentucky! Safe travels!
Wow! That's awesome!. Yeah Alaska would be a great capstone to your adventures.
