  • Boxers are simply the absolute best in everything - I would never ever have any other breed although so many of our friends have all kind of different dogs and all of them are loveable. For us there's only one and that's this energetic, loveable goofball! Our little rascal adopted us at the age of 3 months and lived to be almost 15 yrs, was our companion in good and bad days and the synonym for love, loyalty and empathy. We were extremely lucky as only the last 2 years were a bit difficult and we let him go to the rainbow bridge last year. We will never forget Bud-Bud, he was our soulmate and will be our last one - R.I.P. little boy and thank you for all the love and joy you brought to our lives.

  • Best dogbreed ever. They have anything I want in a dog: great with children and other animals, funny, playful (their basically puppy’s their entire life😋) so loving, smart and very trainable. They’re basically big lapdogs (with ADHD😂) but at the same time very powerful and protective when needed

    • My 5 yr old male has all of the sudden out of nowhere turned super hyper aggressive when encountering other large breed dogs. Was never like that before, gets plenty of attention and 2-3 walks a day, don't know what changed in him. That and he's trying to go after cats like his life depends on it, when before he would just watch them walk by. Trying to think of what to do.

  • Two of the most important things to remember are they boxers need a lot of physical activity. They are ok for apartment but you need to make sure they get an hour of daily running/ working out at least. Second is that they don't like being alone at home. Don't leave boxers alone at home for hours every day, they'll be miserable and become destructive. I had a boxer who lived 13 years.

So him and I got into an argument because he pissed me off too . A few months later I moved next door to him and after we met on a calm level he became a great friend to me ... • Be aware that completely white Boxers have a 10% chance of being deaf. this occurs with some other breeds also. Boxers are high energy dogs, they do love children, but sometimes a young Boxer can be too rambunctious for young children. All the short-nosed (brachicephalic) dogs ( Boxers, Pugs, Bulldogs, etc) cannot pant as efficiently as other dogs, this makes this intolerant of hot weather, short fur makes them intolerant of very cold weather so Boxers are often inside dogs unless you live in a very temperate area.

  • Other than the broken English, my only complaint about this video is #7. I would never recommend a Boxer for a 1st time dog owner. I've owned Boxers for more than 25 years & I still can't say that they're an easy breed. I would advise anyone looking to buy one to do a lot more research & spend some time with Boxers who are young & not as yet, well trained. Watching this video or meeting my dogs would not give a person a clear idea of how much work goes into training.

My mom told me, that 6 months later her sister would visit to see me for the first time, and our boxer bared all her teeth as she entered the room I was sleeping in as she didn't know the scent of my aunt and wanted to protect me. As a little child I would ride her like a horse and we were inseparable. A boxer and children are a match made in heaven. I'm 47 and I still think of her.

I leave my windows down for them to keep Tabs on me but sometimes someone is silly enough to try to stick a hand they will never get back in said Realm of Boxer. I don't own the BowTie. They do. I just drive them to and from a good run. Boxers are called that because they play with punches! Young ones are the best for them. Attention span that will out source any child and no harm to them. They are family oriented and will stand proud between a Family Member and a threat instantly and without prompting from anyone. German Boxers are bigger and more Fun but slobber more.

I wasnt going to buy the pup because it was covered in fleas but I couldn't leave the pup in that situation. So I buy the pup and my 6yr old son was with me and we get home and he wants to sleep with the pup and I say ok, we wake up the next day and the pups tongue is swollen so bad that he couldn't shut his mouth. I rush the pup to the emergency vet cause it's new years day and 3000$ and 4 hrs later the pup passed away. The lady I bought him from was such a piece of shit that she tried to blame it on me and didnt even want to give me my money back but after a few threats she finally gave me my money back even though I lost 3 grand and it upset my son so much. So please do your research before buying a pup

    • Thats not right. That's the normal education when you do dog sports and ist the regular examination by international rules. Its alwas a mix of suborder, what means things like walking on a leash or without leash, let the dog sit by command, let him ley down by command etc, protection service and search for tracks. Unfortunately its hard for me to explain this in english, but i spend years on dog schools and I was a trainer for "Schutzdienst" what means something like protection service. It's all build up by playing and the dogs are only focused on that protection sleeve. If you take off the protection sleeve, the dogs will never bite your arm, the are conditioned to that sleeve. You dont create aggressive dogs, even if it seems like that. In my avtice time, hidden protection sleeves were forbidden. That makes a big different because with hidden sleeves, the dogs were conditioned to the arm of a Attacket or victim, not to an protection sleeve. I hope, you could understand what i mean and see the difference. Dog sport protection service is priority fun for the dog, because the love playing with there teeth and there mouth, like pulling an a rope or bite into a ball and no aggressin training.

  • Boxers are excellent family dogs. However, they really need exercise and are a bad choice for home-bound people. They would love home-bound owners but would be very sad if they could not go out to play. Also, females are the bosses if there are males. Males would always be hazards to old owners, not because of any viciousness, but because the males may drag you down the street by their leash if they see a cat. They wouldn't hurt the cat or even catch it. They can get along well with any other pet in the family down to gerbals, because they like cats and are not ratters. Two females will often compete to be the matriarch. That happened between my female and my evil stepmom's boxer. My female always put the other one down on the ground by the neck fur after being attacked but was always sliced down the front leg by the other dog's front paws. My dad got tired of paying a vet to sew Mitzy's leg back up after attacked by the other female. When it happened the last time, my dad got a needle and thread and sewed her leg up without any pain relief during the operation. It hurt Mitzy from the fresh wound and stitches, but Mitzy showed no anger toward my dad, and he knew she wouldn't. Many but not all male boxers may as well be another species when it comes to interactions with small dogs that are not in the family. They may run after a Yorkie or such, grab them by the neck and try to kill them in front of their owners. Fortunately, they are really bad at that and are not likely to succeed. If you own a male, keep pepper spray with you to spray it in his eyes. Not even hitting him on the head with a shovel will get him to let go. They're hardheaded. The other thing that works to get him to let go would be just to go home and he will follow. I wouldn't own a male, but I would shoot or stab one that was trying to kill a small dog. A pet rat though could fend off a male boxer, because they are generally stupid. A female will only snap and eat a pesky fly.
