@@commediaDollArte It already existed, if you pay close attention to it. I even went back to the original to check it by myself. There's a small wave he creates when flying towards Wander - just not as noticeable/realistic as in the remake, of course, haha! So yeah, amazing, right?! The original developers had already thought about including that little detail to the battle.

My best acrobatic moment on PS2 was on this boss. I once got to rigth wing, stabbed him twice and on the mid of the barrel roll, i let go my grip and grabbed from the tip of the other wing!!! it was amazing! (and it was 100% luck) Wanna try on this version!

Out of interest, why Avion and not Phalanx?
@@commediaDollArte At least for me, It is due to nostalgia. I played shadow of the colossus when I was 8 for the first time. The first 4 were amazing, but avion was the first flying colossi, and I was just astounded. I was shaking after I beat Avion. And now, if I was to choose between avion and Phalanx, I'd still choose Avion, simply because Avion WANTS to kill you. Phalanx is just chilling and uses self defense, but not aggression. Avion comes down toward you with killing intent. I just thought that that makes Avion more bad ass than Phalanx.

I remember the very first time I fought this Colossi on the Playstation 2 version as s teenager. I was absolutely and completely shocked by the incredible cinematic-ness of the battle, especially after you grab his fur....just how he's flying and rolling trying to get you off, the crazy camera angles and stuff...it was jaw dropping for me, I'll never forget my experience with this masterpiece on PS2 when it came out. I'm getting the PS4 version Thursday! I am absolutely stoked to experience this amazing work of art again!
This boss fight was just incredible! Actually felt the fear of gripping on for dear life more than any other boss in the game.
I remember first time I played this fight, my dad walked in and was said he wanted to watch tv in a few minutes, I said I'd turn it off after this fight. So basically the moment where you are about to jump on the wings. My dad said "Look out he's going to hit you" and I was like "Nope" and jumped onto it. I think it blew his mind because he forgot he wanted to watch TV and instead just watched me play for 2 hours. I also somehow managed to take a leap of faith from one wing to the other at some point as the stamina was running low and I needed a better platform to rest. And that is also something unique to this game and this game only. It's been nearly 20 years and yet why hasn't this had a worthy spiritual successor? It's definitely still one of the most mindblowing bosses ever.

I know people love Gaius as their most iconic Colossus fight, but Avion will always be my most memorable Colossus.
People are saying it looks better because of the textures and added details, but I feel like the frame rate really sells it!

Not an expert, but does it make sense for Wander to just... catch the bird like that? It has the mass of a building, is moving at the speed of a car on the highway, and is colliding with you head on while you're stationary relative to it.

Avion is good. The water sucks, but most of the fight is in the air. " Dispair Filled Farewell" is epic, no surprise there. Also, Avion is just chilling, which is neat. It makes me sad to kill him.
Reason I don’t play shadow of the colossus a second time, because i don’t like fighting bosses that don’t want to hurt you. 90% of the colossi only attack because you are threatening them. They aren’t doing any harm
It's amazing how after 5 more Colossus you encounter one of the worst boss fights of the history. I'm talking about the bull

I love this game with all my heart, but I have a harder and harder time playing it knowing what I am doing to the world. I know my purpose is to destroy the collosi, but God damn it hurts my soul.
It feels weird too see a collosi bird-like shape having hair instead of feathers, anyway this boss battle is awesome :)

Anybody know how to leave the area after returning post-battle? I went back to look for collectables and now I'm stuck. I don't wanna reload the previous save file because I did find a coin in the area.

Honestly, I'm still prefer Avion original roar and voice from original game, just feel so majestic yet creepy and natural rather then dinosaur like voice in ps4 remake... But.. they are doing incredible job for making this remake..
