Hello everyone! Here is a video of a race on the "Alps" track from today in Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed (PC, 2000). I drove the Porsche 928 GTS. God bless, and to God be all of the glory, forever and ever!
Gamma Correction: 1.50
Windows 10
22 years later I learn for the first time that there was a shortcut with a chopper
Right?! And I’ve always said to myself “that sounds like a chopper” when I was passing sideways… Had no idea, either. 😅
The heli site is actually used on "Factory Driver" mission.
I never had a chopper there on my old pc.
Man, that chopper. All this time, I had no fucking idea. That aside, the levels in NFS Porsche are so atmospheric, thanks to the art direction, they still hold up to this day, graphically.
My favorite racing game! The campaign, the tracks, the environment, the dynamics! I wish more racing sims were made in the same vein.
This and its N64 sibling, Beetle Adventure Racing, are among my favorite racing games of all time.
Imho best of NFS games, even better than Underground and Most wanted. Noone has such fun mechanics and map charm.
it’s the best except NFS 3.
One of the best memories with this game. Now I think if a car handle on snow like this, it would win WRC easily. It was so easy on physics and enjoyable at the same time.
This game makes me like porsche cars.
Don’t forget to go to settings and set everything to ultra. This game will look cleaner.
I wish they remake this game.
yeahhh bro still playing it😎😏
0:55 lol
I see lots of comments about the helicopter. I wonder though how many people know about the glitch on this track where there is a spot on the frozen lake that will make your car jump up into the air well above the "mountains" even at walking speed.
There's also a spot in the Industrielle (if I spelled that correctly ) where you can clip through a wall, n then go under the map
03:18 Omg I was playing this game everyday about 20 years ago and I've never seen this helicopter before 0_o
You never even heard it in the background though?
Это одни из лучших моментов жизни
😏😎☺👍👍
a little bit lower gamma would be better. Try Verokster Patch. All my videos are done with it installed.
Sorry for the late reply. Thank you for your advice. However, I prefer the higher gamma, that's why I play it this way. I think the "default" gamma setting looks a bit dark, same for the other 3DFX-era NFS games. The gamma settings in-between are ok (I can change them through nGlide), but I normally just keep it this way. The game looks much more well-lit and modern to me without losing much detail. It may also depend on whatever screen your using. I did experiment with slightly lower gamma settings at one point, but I ended up going back to this setting. Also, I don't see as many videos of this game at the higher gamma settings, so I think it offers viewers a bit of a different perspective of the game.
@@kushnergaming7899 what about mine videos? are they dimmer?
where can i get it to windows 10?
I still have the physical disc from years ago, I have never downloaded it illegally, and I don't advise ever downloading anything illegally. To get it to work, basically: 1. Install the game 2. Download nGlide if you don't already have it, then install it and apply whatever settings you'd like 3. Download and install the latest official game patch 4. Use "regedit" to modify the game to work with glide graphics. I may post a full, detailed tutorial eventually, but that summarizes how to get it to run. By the way, you can find physical copies of this game on eBay for less than $10.
@@kushnergaming7899 thanks!
@@kushnergaming7899 still seems to have the gear changing animation broken... did you fix the 2ghz bug?
Not yet, but it doesn't really bother me.
2:46 What part of alps are dysplayed
I don't know much about the real Alps very well, but it looks like some sort of small town or village.
@@kushnergaming7899 btw, this 928 has a great sound 🎵
Why HUD lookd so bad? I remember it good looking
It seems to be a little glitchy on Windows 10, but hey, it does work :)
Needs the CPU fix, PU doesn't get along with CPUs faster than 2 Ghz and goes into lo res texture mode
what the hell is up with those time records? 26 seconds on alps? wtf?
Because I'm the best, of course :D lol It's probably from when I've used the "SmashUp" cheat code.
this game is very difficult to play on easy mode why
Sorry about the late reply. What is it that you find difficult? If you have the latest version of the game, you can use the money trick in Evolution mode to get fast cars early. If you don’t know the trick, you buy a used car, repair it, then sell it. If you repeat this, you’ll get more and more money and easily get the fastest cars with the best upgrades. You have to play Evolution mode “normally” at first for maybe a few races, then you’ll have enough money to start buying used cars and use the money trick. I hope this is helpful!
My previous comment is referring to the PC version of the game. Also, in the PC version, there is no “easy mode,” unless you are referring to the quick race mode.
@@kushnergaming7899 thanks bro
That game should not be played on modern system. The low resolution textures and parkinsonism in the right hand is too irritating. It must be played on Windows95 or 98 with Pentium3 system. Windows2000/XP have graphics glitches as I mentioned
Porsche Unleashed was the game started the NFS degradation. It has no chances even vs NFS 1.
I respect your opinion. My first Need for Speed game was the "Road and Track" NFS1SE. However, I think both games have their strengths and weaknesses. Both games had realistic driving compared to other games in the series. However, these days, I very rarely play NFS1 compared to this game. I respect NFS1 for its time, but I personally feel that Porsche Unleashed has aged much better (especially when playing in 4K). The customization alone really boosts the replay factor. With NFS1, the car list is tiny, the tracks all have one single route, and car customization is basically non-existent (you can't even change the color of a car). So, I disagree, but it's my personal opinion. I find Porsche Unleashed to be the more enjoyable game. However, I think both games pale in comparison to later titles like Underground 2, Most Wanted 2005, and Hot Pursuit 2010. These are just my opinions. NFS1 is a good game, but despite being one of my childhood games, I don't really care much for it these days.
Actually no, NFS Porsche Unleashed never started the franchise degradation.
Why?
I’d say anything after hot pursuit 2, which was released in 2001 or 2002
