Saturday 20th April 24 saw 5 of us playing out at Vobster, Chris, George and Rob were on OC, and Stephen and I were on CCR.
The plan was to go down the Tunnel, The Seaking, the Jesters, the Humber, across the bottom to the Truck, hang a left to the Pevril Pride, the Caravan, Jaquelin and out. We got to the other side of the SeaKing and Rob signalled that he was cold and was heading back, I grabbed George and told him I was heading back with Rob, and he passed it on, meanwhile, we went over the top of the SeaKing and went up the slope to the road and out. Rob had sprung another leak and got changed when the others came out Chris decided he wasn't going to do a second one and he got changed too. We had Coconut Macaroons, Viscounts, Mini Swiss Rolls, big Swiss Rolls, Jaffa Cakes and Brittle Chocolate Brownies. Just as we were about to kit up and get in for Dive 2 Debs approached us and said a DSMB had been dropped between the Jaquelin and SeaKing and would we accept the mission to go for butchers. We accepted the challenge and headed off to the Tunnel and the SeaKing and from there we travelled slowly along the bottom but never found the DSMB, we came up to the Water Tank and then across to the ladder, at this point our scaffolder, the person that uses a ladder every day, pushed it over!!! FFS Why? Just a vandal. Stephen and George picked it back up but didn't replace the battery and cups so there's a mission for next week. We came back via the APC, Jaquelin and Wheelhouse where Stephen did a bailout and then we exited up the ramp.
It was a fun day, lots of laughs, too much sugar but it was cracking weather, warm in the sun, but chilly in the shade.
