7800 (can't find degrees symbol) is so underrated. I still have the cassette from when I was 7 or 8 years old.
7800f is awesome. only lonely, hardest part is the night, price of love ...etc Jon is more interested in politics that music these days.
I loved this album in 1985. In fact when Slippery first came out I actually remember thinking "this isn't as good as 7800 F". I wish he was more fond of it, but I remember in an interview a long time ago that he and Richie were just coming out of break-ups and it was a sad time in their personal lives and the songs were about those times.
That's crazy, when 7800 came out I couldn't get enough and the videos were great. One of their best albums.

Many fans don't realize that Cross Road is actually one of the best-selling albums of all time. It ranks between Slippery When Wet & New Jersey in terms of the band's releases. A significant reason for that success was the single "Always", which recently just became their 3rd video to reach a billion views behind "It's My Life" & "Livin' on a Prayer". Even deep into the 90s when most 80s bands were struggling, they proved that they were still one of the biggest musical acts in the world.

I got my mother to buy me the crossroads cd in like 03 or something! I grew up on Bon Jovi!
It was the first Bon Jovi CD I owned. A fantastic introduction to all the eras of the band at that point.
Actually I bought the cassette Cross Road so that I can listen to all the best hits and it grew me as a fan from there when I was young. Bon Jovi to me is one of the best rock bands I've known. Used to jam their songs when I was in my teens. So sad his voice will never be as once what it was but he does the best he can. His bandmates are really supportive of him.
@@azimhulaimi Unfortunately, hits like "Born to Be My Baby" weren't included and "Never Say Goodbye" was excluded in the American release.
I was at the Calgary concert where Richie wasn't there, Jon had said We thought we can leave and not perform, or do our best to give you a great show. And they did!

Jon’s wrong about 7800 Fahrenheit! I love that album! Songs like In and Out Love, Only Lonely, The Hardest Part Is The Night, and Always Run To You are badass songs. They deserve more love!
Jon is wrong on many things but specially on his asessment about 7800 Fahrenheit. Better album cover, title and songs than the 2020 album by a million miles. I recommend every hard rock fan or even casual rock fan to listen to 7800 Fahrenheit.

"I'll be there for you" is held close to my heart. I was a military brat, and my friends called the radio station over and over until they got put on with DJ, I still have that tape, where they tell the DJ I was moving from Hawaii back to NY because my father was retiring. My friends truly made me feel loved with that tape from the radio. What no one would know is that 4 years later, my father did business with Jon, and dad allowed me to go, and we had Chinese food in Hells Kitchen. He is truly just as nice and easygoing as he shows the world. He's an amazing human being.

Their best work to this day actually is Lost Highway. You can’t beat it from an artistic point of view! It was so different from anything they did before. The lyrics, the arrangements - the best!

I fully agree. Everything up to 1995 was great then there's a bit of a decline to 2005. Everything after 2005 is nonsense.
Growing up as a Bon Jovi fan (since I was 4 years old, thanks mom!) I can map my life's memories around these albums. To say this band has changed and shaped my life is an understatement... I am so excited to watch the documentary this weekend!

Massive respect to this guy & the rest of the band, my real love is hard rock & metal, the first Jovi album up to Keep the faith are excellent, it doesn't matter what I think of the music after Faith, people change, music changes, tastes change, the music this band has given us is a true gift, Runaway, bad name, prayer, wanted, faith, bed of, always, I'll be there, bad medicine, blaze, the list goes on & on, for me Jovi's masterpiece has always been Wanted dead or alive, as a teenager this tune stopped me in my tracks, it's so good it should be illegal, its music of champions. Is there a better cowboy rock song?! Not for me, for that reason alone I can't dis this band or music they have released since. I've seen them twice, Jersey & Faith tours, both amazing gigs. Thank you for the music guys, it's timeless & will live on forever. Cheers...

These Days and Lost Highway are great albums, they dont always get the credit they deserve! I always liked the Young Guns soundtrack too. It's amazing that he doesn't like his BEST album, I don't care about the artwork or the name of the album, the fact is musically and lyrically 7800 degrees fahrenheit is his BEST album. The reason he doesn't like it is because it didn't sell well, and that's not because it isn't a great album, it's because it was released at a time when other more established bands at that time also released albums and unfortunately it just got lost in the shuffle, but it's a fantastic album, his best in my opinion, yes even better than Slippery when wet.
