    • HOW CAN YOU GUYS START US WITH ONLY 1 EPISODE?!?! 🥺 Talk about cruel & unusual punishment 🤨 That ep. 1 has already set the tone and this is going to be Great. I can not watch it week to week though. I’m going to have to do My best to skip a few weeks so I can watch @ least a couple in a row. This is the type id like to watch 4 in a row and then a couple the next night after work. Good job HBO on another 1. Other than making Us wait like it’s the old days, all the way back in 2011 when We had to wait for our shows week to week. C’Mon Mahn When it’s this Good , I want it NOW .

    • My thoughts exactly. I saw that deranged, vacant Jon Bernthal face pop up in my feed and I'm like whatever this is it's gonna be good. He don't play. Also, my ability to recognize Baltimore in a split second scares me sometimes; I'm familiar with this (true) story of police corruption to the highest to degree and it is WILD!

    • Really? The dialogue, especially the slang and accents, is very familiar, but the pacing is very different and more stylized with the time jumps. The editing and lighting also strikes me as more cinematic compared to the gritty realism of the wire. Just my 2 cents

    • I don't think we should look at it like that. This seems to be focusing more on police brutality part. We will for sure get what we saw in the Wire regarding things that contribute to these problems. "Put dope on the table, be tough on crime, be out in them streets" mentality caused by politics and beurocrats.

  • Looking back to daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke cage, iron fist and punisher, to me, my eyes are always set on the punisher. He doesn't need the super abilities, but he'll make sure you face the his wrath. Among the marvel shows, he was the best watch.

  • I can’t wait for the mini-series that’s honest about crime in Baltimore! I’m sure it will be created by reporters, writers and entertainment execs eager to discuss crime trends, who the victims are, who the perpetrators are, and what needs to be done to reverse it.

    • As the show is obviously about black people vs police, can you tell me if the show is a BLM love letter or it shows both sides equally? I love series like the Wire, Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire, but I hate that almost all shows on HBO, Netflix, Amazon and other platforms are written to cather to "left" audience, to the levels that makes me don't want to watch it, because of the sick agenda.

    • @@icyman2 it follows the true story of what happened within the Baltimore police department years ago around the Freddie Gray incident. It's grounded in reality, and so naturally it has both bad and good characters on all sides that actually existed. Judging by your comment it might be good for you to watch it

Once Ozark and Stranger things are over with, they better start getting some new quality shows or it's goodbye to that overpriced platform.

  • Bravo HBO for taking the Wire and moving on to an even bigger story. This city is raw and dangerous but the people are real and the city has its beauty and lots of it. You just have to find it. I’ve lived here a 1/3 of my life and I just don’t see me leaving.
