    • The rapid evolution of the human brain and corresponding head size, coupled with the shrinking of the birth canal cause humans some real issue's now

      @Nathaniel-117@Nathaniel-1176 ай бұрын
    • Those babies have to be up an able to run from predators in a matter of a couple hours. The females (and calves) are at their most vulnerable during birth so it's in their best interest for it to go as rapidly as possible.

      @krn2683@krn26836 ай бұрын
    • @@Nathaniel-117That’s all rubbish. I’ve birthed four babies each with less that ten minutes in the birth canal, probably similar timing to this cow. We females are born with the innate ability to birth our young, our bodies are equipped with the foetal ejection reflex that expels our babies from our bodies with ease. The only thing that would make one think otherwise is the medicalised birth industry.

    • It’s not always so simple believe me, I saw a cow and calf die in labour, one calf survived and we hand fed it, we called it Little Mac. He had no herd instinct and obvs had brain damage so he got sent away at a young age.

    • Well, she doesn't have a hospital full of nurses and OBGYNs to do it for her. Humans can mostly do it but the process is more complicated because of how hard the labour is for human mothers due to anatomical difference from cows. 😅

Ten years with sea minerals. We do a yearly soil analysis with a company that uses gps/drones and collect soil samples so we know the right minerals to put down on the fields.

    • Most animals don't have the same adversion from exposure that humams do. Cows see each other give birth, humans seeing a cow give birth isn't something that they even think about. I personally think it's important for people to see other animals giving birth. It's a natural process of life and I think kids especially should be made aware of how organisms reproduce from a pretty young age.

    • Ok but it's different when it's a cow. Especially on a farm/ranch. They're entire situation is to be looked after, the recording and posting is usually for recording what's just happened and for educational purposes. Having an audience there too would be just for education. Animals dont really get embarrassed for something like that. It's better for her to have farmers/caretakers watching and making sure things are going smoothly, and noones judging her for having a baby??? Your point is irrelevant here man.

  • This is something, City folks protect the children against seeing. Country people do not protect their children from seeing, in fact, and no attention is brought to the birthing process. That is unless you live on a farm, then the part that is brought to attention is that you are needed to standby in case the cow needs help. There is nothing shocking or obscene about life. Story : We were on vacation with a number of people, friends with my parents and their kids . All the females were in a room, changing into our bathing suits, when a little boy opens the door and walks in. My mother was closest to the door. She simply turned a little boy around and escorted him out with no sign of being shocked, or horrified, or embarrassed, that the little boy saw some of us quite naked. All she said was something that indicated that we wanted privacy. To the younger people such as myself that were embarrassed, she calmed us by indicating that there was nothing to be embarrassed about. The little boy was simply curious, no big deal, and that his curiosity was satisfied. If we had made a big deal about it, he would’ve figured that we were doing something for-bidden. I wish I could remember her exact words.
