Rafa needs to get 75-80 percent first serve in. 65 percent or lower is abit low. He looks like he is in a good form. But alot of work needs to be done if he wants to beat Novak on aus open

I do not foresee Novak and Rafa meeting in the final at the Australian Open. If they are in the same half of the draw, they will meet early. If they are in opposite sides of the draw, they will most likely not meet. Assuming Novak's wrist injury is not serious, I think Novak will likely advance to the SF or beyond. But Rafa will have to beat a top 8 player before the fourth round, another in the 4th round, another in the QF and another in the SF. I do not think Rafa will be ready for such a gauntlet it what is his worse major. That's being said, it would be awesome to see Novak and Rafa play each other in the final of the French Open.

If there's any chance of them meeting in a slam final this year, it's got to be the French Open.
Even if Rafa makes the final he will be toast to Novak, Rafa will be dejected and freeze, he knows he can't win, so he'll try and lose in the most dignified way.

Happy happy to see Rafa’s whipping curling forehand, thunder backhand and creative cross court net play, drop shot, not to mention backhand smash. It is all coming back - 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 for his momentum. His comeback has been very encouraging thus far and it is simply wonderful to fans and tennis world in general. I am happy for NADAL and I think he will do great at RG this year. However, it is too early to put him on a top level. Top guyz or best of 5 is different story and then we will se if he is capable. I wish him the best becuz its probably his last year.
I was a fan of Agassi. Stopped watching after he retired. I heard about Rafa, became an even bigger fan of him. This year is going to be difficult to watch, knowing it's the last year. It's like a part of my life I'll never get and may never watch tennis ever gain the same way...

bro one year off the competition, remember he was uneable to even walk and had total reconstruction of his hips area with metals included, the man simply come back and in his first two matches plays at god level, this is not normal, he is the GOAT
Happy to see Rafa playing and moving well. He was in command in both matches. Crisp, strong shots, no hesitation, good tactical decisions...everything was working. The matches were not against top players (both ranked near 100), but they were the perfect level for him at this stage of his comeback. It will get tougher quickly. Jordan Thompson is ranked 55 on ATP, and if Rafa gets past him (as he should), he will probably face Dimitrov (ranked 14), always a threat, and then possibly Rune (ranked 8), who is in fine form. Great tournament for Rafa to get back to top competitive level - if he can.
The rank doesn't mean that much, Thompson isn't an impressive player and Nadal should absolutely blast through him. Dimitrov, then either Arnaldi, Safiullin or Rune are real damn test atm though

Dimitrov’s playstyle is so pleasant to look at, especially when he’s as focused as he currently is and winning. Nadal is looking great at the moment and is keeping points nice and short, which is what he should be doing. The fact he’s even able to do it is honestly impressive As for that Hijikata fellow… I’m intrigued
