The year 2023 has been a complete success in terms of modding for Assassin's Creed. we have seen some of the best and most revolutionary mods in the entire franchise this year. So I wanted to make a video to look over my favourite mods of the year. Modding has always been a part of AC gaming that I wanted to get into but never could. It's such a unique way to customise and personalise your ac games to be perfectly tailored to how you like them.
Since I bought a PC this year, I knew I wanted to go straight into showcasing mods in my stealth playthroughs and trying out new versions of our favourite weapons, characters and outfits. I was just lucky enough that the same year I got a PC, some truly revolutionary mods came out.

@AltairStealth Definitely. I'm hoping to see more of that with future titles. I'm scared AC Red parkour is going to suck, but if ubisoft is listening and starting to realize that parkour is important to some of us, they can still make it great.

Honestly I would love for them to do an ACS Fixes (Assassin's Cree Syndicate Fixes). The game could use a few improvements like the ones AC Unity received (and honestly, it could use a lot to gain popularity).
As a console player I’m a little jealous of the Aya mod. Her outfit in the Hidden Ones DLC was so cool and I would have loved a sequel where we play as her

honestly, as much as I love Basim's initiate robes I do like the other assassin's robes, like they are the perfect blend of the old and the new in the simplest way

I'm sad that the eject mod was only at 6th place.... With the new update i think it deserves the 2nd place. Faster animations, manual dives, lache to standing, eject height, eject descend, catch ledge distance increase and even SLOW-MO like ACU Fixes. I have a video on this that will release in 20th december(please take a look at it if you have time). Jintohaku is single-handedly making my dreams come true. He is now working on a Manual Jump button for Basim and Eivor and i'm so excited for it!!!

I might be crazy for saying this but Basim’s Master Assassin robes in Mirage might be my favorite Assassin robes of all time. Beautiful yet simplistic, and the beaked hood (which I feel is more reminiscent of Ezio’s outfits) really does it for me.

Just as I was Checking Unity Mods I got this video .. great surprise for sure I mostly play Unity on the side to try and get good at the parkour/stealth while walking through the Mirage campaign Hazloid has a life saving mod at least for me xD that removes the pistol I personally choose to delete the starting pistol and its holster so I can have an accurate Altair outfit + sword and Great vid

4:17 What the mod did is fix the broken physics, and makes them look as they should; 60fps breaks the cloth physics, and playing in 30fps makes them flow properly, so the mod is not an improvement per say, but a bug fix

I think the best AC mods, are the “toogle hud” ones I love playing without hud but sometimes its just senseless, so being able to turn it on/off quickly whenever you want its great

I'm so glad that I'm a PC player😊. The Unity Fix is something that should be implemented in *all* of the games in the franchise. Everytime I am hanging by a ledge in AC III or Revelations because that's the only way to reach my targets below but I have three enemies instead of two I think to myself "with the Unity fix I would be able to quickshot one and double assassinate the others all while hanging from the ledge, but right now I can't." With the Brotherhood system I can make do, but not all games have recruits and sometimes it is very hard to aim at targets right below you so I end up repositioning a lot 🤔.....
I wish we could have unity fixes in all games too

It would be great if ubisoft released mod tools so we could get really game changing mods. Imagine for example a massive overhaul for odyssey adding new parkour, stealth, combat and story to give Ancient Greece the game it deserves and not the insult it got. A massive expansion for unity with voiced characters would also be possible. Ubisoft is not very consumer friendly as a company so it's unlikely but would be great.

I had a few struggles with Ubisoft cause I kept putting the wrong password or email for the login but I made a new one, so hopefully I can try some of these mods in future

Am I the only one that want a rpg AC with the movement of unity and let you not only create your own assassin but also let you choose the style of assassin you want to be, from a traditional assassin to a syndicate assassin like just letting you choose your loadout and depending on your loadout your gameplay changes drastically kinda like a premium version of what I think Ubisoft wanted unity to be
In my opinion, the best assassin’s creed game that has almost every outfit in the game is AC3 remastered. It got the outfits of Jacob, Arno, Shay, bayek, Alexios, Altair, etc. wish they coulda added these to Unity/origins/mirage/ via an update lol. I like mods but i don’t like installing them.

There's a mod for AC1 called "Permanent Rank 9" which gives you Rank 9 as long as the mod is installed. I think it's necessary for replayability.

Seeing mods like this, makes me wish that AC-1 had a lot more mods; because it barely has any gameplay changing mods or any bug/glitch fixing mods, it does have some major graphics mods, but literally every Assassin's Creed game has a great graphics mod. I get that Assassin's Creed 1 is probably least popular or well-beloved game, even in the old AC fandom and I also wonder, whether it's because of modding issues with that game in general that prevents any crazy changes to game.

Is it possible for a modder to create a movement mod in AC Unity similar to the movement in AC Mirage, which feels more snappy? The parkour animations would remain the same, just the movement would be faster. I find moving Arno to be quite heavy, and it left me a bit disappointed when playing AC Origins for the first time due to the loss of many parkour movements from AC Unity / AC Syndicate. However, I really enjoy the speed of Bayek's movement

can I ask a question I absolutely love unity but one of the things I wanted to do was use rifles, however they are all considered "non lethal" is there a mod that per chance adds bayonets to the rifles to make them a little more you know like a rifle?

The only mod i cannot bypass are the weapons swap, i followed and it dosent show any of the weapons mods.

I'd love a mod for Unity that adds the legacy outfits to the gear system. So for example, I could mix Altaïr's body with Ezio's hood/cape and Connor's legs. If they were affected by colours palettes, that would be a bonus. But ultimately this sounds like a wishful mod that could be a pain to make I imagine.

@@AltairStealth just a file they had put into the game that’ll crash your game for modified files (mods) im sure assassins creed games should be good but who knows at the end of the day ubisoft games doesn’t come with mod support so make sure you backup your game or turn off the auto update on steam
about the legacy outfits for ac brotherhood. I am the kind of player that is trying to be as realistic as he can be when he plays games. especially ac games. I cant wear other assassins' outfits and feel good about it. for example, I am starting to think how is it possible that ezio would wear the outfit of connor who was born 300 years after him... tell me if I aint the only one who is like that...
a lot of players are like that tbh, and some outfits are more immersion breaking than others for sure
