  • I usually prefer white erasers such as those on mechanical pencils, they just seem to erase better and don’t leave that many marks on the paper.

    • I’ve got a black one. Best thing ever, the eraser dust clumps together so you just have one string of dust. It can erase through really dark pencil, colour pencil and charcoal 😍😍

  • I agree, but a little tip from me, when sketching on a canvas,and you need to erase.. use a sand eraser instead of a normal eraser, it erases more on a canvas!

  • Pink erasers you have to be careful buying sometimes, because some of the cheaper ones leave the pink dye on the paper and there's no way to remove it. The white ones have no dye and you can tell when you need to clean it sooner. This is great for drawings, especially charcoal or graphite.

  • totally recommened erasers used specifically made for exams. it says its for exams but you can use it normally at erases well too and not grainy.

  • I love the white erasers. I feel like the pink erasers are greasy,sticky and sometimes also make my hands sweaty. And,I also think the pink ones stick to the paper and don't erase well. For anyone,I would always suggest the white erasers.

  • The type of eraser that works best for you is actually dependent on the oils in your hands as well as skin type, which is why some kinds work better than others. For most people, myself included, white hi-polymer erasers work best, but it always pays off to test several different kinds.

  • I actually used to have an eraser hybrid, one side is red, the other is white, and the middle is pink. I can most definetly tell you how much i used the white side more often, i use the white side so often there's barely any left while the red side is barely used and the pink middle is untouched.

  • Definitely pink ones, when they are dirty it’s not that noticeable. Besides the tip of the pink rubber makes it so much easier to erase smaller things

  • The white ones are often used in my drawing classes, for high school and college, because the lack of dye means there's no chance they'll leave marks on the page from the eraser itself. I've had many pink ones leave marks, and it sucks because there's not a good way to remove it.

  • With the white erasers, leave the cardboard sheath on. That'll keep the eraser from bending in your hand, allowing you to put more pressure down and erase more accurately.

  • So far the best erasers I've ever encountered are from the brand Mercur, their classic colour is actually GREEN, but they also make white, purple and even blue erasers. All work wonderfully.

  • Alright you guys have to see LION erasers, they're clear and they work like a charm, litterally every store where I live has them bcs they're cheap & amazing, they can even erase B8 pencils (Black Lead 8, very dark pencil for drawing)

  • Blue. I use blue Faber-Castells. They erase both pencil and colours (not much, but still).

  • The white ones are ones that artists use more and my grandma who is an art teacher gave me one and said “ this is an artists eraser and it helps their art not have eraser smudges and left over pencil lines in their finished art “

  • Pink erasers lose a chunk of itself when you use it, the pencil caps would break off after a while, white ones are the best, they use minimal amount of resources and erase very smoothly.

  • Id actually prefer the pink. I use to prefer the white but they collect the graphite and start sliding and making marks after a little bit of use

  • My drawing teacher hated pink ones due to the fact that the pinks can leave behind stains that were hard to removed and sometimes ruined drawings. For other purposes I assume it’s fine tho lol

  • I never had much of a interest in pink erasers until I got hi-polymer white erasers, they work so well especially in drawing or writing. I often use this eraser at home and in school. I give the hi-polymer eraser 10/10.

  • Whenever I would use any type of eraser on the back of a pencil, it would break immediately because I pushed way too hard. For the rest of my school life I would just cross out my mistakes
