Fold an easy origami diamond from one square sheet of paper, no glue or cutting required. This pretty origami gem or crystal makes a great decoration, give them to friends or hang them up as decorations!
This is the first of two origami diamonds, the second one is made from a pentagon in the same manner. (kzhead.info/sun/dMpphstvbJSOZaM/bejne.html)
This origami diamond is very simple to make, especially in comparison to other origami diamonds out there (including one of my own!).
The flaps that slot in at the end (11:17) could easily be reversed and glued together inside the crystal if you'd like a cleaner look to it!

  • Everyone who wrote it that it was hard, always know that beautiful things need hard work and do you think that this diamond is easy? It is complicated as you are making a diamond without using glue or cello tape. I loved 💖 this video.

  • Hi Crissy! Can you please make a video tutorial on a flower bud that can open up and actually become a flower? I hope it won't be too hard. (I got the idea when I flipped the diamond around and it really reminded me of a bud) Also, loved the vid, I used 20cm paper and the finished product is a little big, but I really like it! (Even though the bottom has a giant hole but that's just because I didn't crease it very accurately)

  • Had to give up at 6:38. Maybe it's just me, but I couldn't for the life of me find the lines we were supposed to fold a second time (I barely did it the first time). It was a great video, don't get me wrong, it's just that it's late at night and I'm using a small Sticky Note for my first origami piece (and even if I had better paper my brain probably still would break trying to find those lines lol)

    • Try connecting the point, the centre of the square in the middle and the corner of the triangle like shape closest to the corner of the square. Hope this helps if you ever decide to try again! ❤

  • I tried to follow the tutorial but it got too confusing for me. There were some parts where your hand covered up how you folded the paper and there we're too many folds to keep track of for a person that's a beginner.
