Hilbert makes way more sense if he had Samurott because Cheren is perfect for Snivy and Bianca and Hilda with Tepig
Actually i think Samurott fits cherens color scheme perfectly as well as serperior for bianca. Also when you take into account which monkey you get Simipour just looks like a perfect fit for Bianca which she can only have when she starts with Snivy
i honestly think hilda should have the tepig. bw2s heroine makes sense for snivy but hilda in masters used a tepig and since he used masters as a point for some characters. also yeah i agree bianca always seemed good with tepig
He shouldn't have tepig cuz Nate has tepig And if they both of tepig then it'll be weird Hilbert should have snivy
Bianca already has a fire-type on her team
he is right the ture starter is in pokemon masters
Just wanted to add in Pokemon Masters Crystal has totodile, Lyra has Chikarita and Hilbert has Oshawott as their partner pokemon. In the adventures manga Brendan/Ruby gets mudkip
Yeah, I'm not sure how he's picking these when he uses Masters in some cases and not in others.
He does start off saying it is his opinion. Ultimately there is no such thing as a "true starter" as the games always give YOU the choice so yeah.. lol. It just comes down to what he think fits said character best. Edit- Like I know red technically started with bulbasaur but when I think of red... I think of charizard.
Neptune still though you think he’d bring up Masters for everyone not just half of the characters, seems inconsistent
@@prophetlord6562 Masters doesn't even give Calem a starter though. He gets meowstic and I assume Serena will get the female meowstic.
Get this dude i pulled the luckiest PKMN Master Character....Red With jus one fucking draw/pull
The lack of water types hurts my soul
I'd give the Oshawott line to Hilbert and the Tododile line to Kris based on Masters.
Lots of rivals have water and Hilberts true starter is oshawott
Game Freak is stabing me because my favourite type is water
Same
Don’t worry, the rivals mostly have them.
I think for Hilbert it’s Oshawott. To me it makes the most sense as Bianca gets Tepig and I can see Cheren with either Snivy or Oshawott. But mainly Snivy
No I think he has snivy bc we all know Nate has tepig so it wouldn't make sense for both to have tepig even tho tepig is the best unova starter
NoobAsian no
Given the manga, Hilbert definitely has a Tepig. Nate (Or Lack-two as he is called in the manga) has a Dewott, which fits his personality and career way better than tepig.
Since pokemon masters is canon, oshawott is hilbert's pokemon there
@@farts8351 it makes perfect sense. At the beginning of black and white, professor Juniper gives you 3 Pokémon: the 3 starters. Cheren and Bianca come over, and you each get 1. So, all are taken. And we know that black and white and black 2 and white 2 aren’t happening at the same time because you can Cheren has moved to a gym leader in black 2 and white 2
I’d say: Hilbert: Oshawott Hilda:Tepig Nate: Tepig Rosa: Snivy
I WILL AGREE
Incredibly agreed (is that proper english?)
i think hilda should have a oshawott
Cannon team can you see in pokemon ex android.
I can say that Nate would be more likely Oshawatt.
These moving pictures are the weirdest things to me
Yeah
I remember for years before ORAS's premiere, Swampert was considered not only Brendan's starter, but also his most iconic pokemon, as it was common among most of his variations, only a few of which showed Treeko or Torchic, but for some reason Brendan's appearances never give him a Blaziken, despite having the two others. I mean concept art and a few mangas give him Combukskin, but not Blaziken. Rip
I've always taken pokemon Yellow as the canon one, so I think Resd's starter is a Pikachu and his team in most games is composed form: all Kanto starters, Espeon, Snorlax and Pikachu, and the only universe where Red could get all 3 starters is Yellow.
It’s unclear in the games if they’re the same but alternate versions of the same character but in most other media yellow is their own character. In the manga yellow actually gets reds pikachu at first and later returns it after an adventure. Also in regards to red not being able to get each starter he canonically sees/catches every Pokémon in red and blue so he has to have ways beyond what we play to catch Pokémon plus I’m sure the reigning champion would have ways of getting rare mons in the 3 years before he went to mt silver
@Violet City Same It makes logical sense
@@jebbryant6522 red completes pokedex only in origins so can't say same about games

In other timelines it’s Kris. Some timelines it’s Lyra! Or Red and Leaf, or Some timelines Red loses to Giovanni in Silph Co, in some timelines Red does not even know what a Pokédex is, and he never beat Team Rocket. Some timelines Mega Evolution Exsists. Red canon choices is a Bulbassaur, there's a lot of Ken Sugimori's artwork from the 90s wich depict Red with a Bulbassaur and his rival, Green, with a Charmander or a Charizard And also it's a nice symbolism, Red's starter pokémon is one with a green color pattern, and Green starter pokémon is one with a red color pattern
His canon starter is Pikachu

Ruby uses a Swampert in the Pokemon Adventures manga . . . as an avid fan of it, I am offended that Sapphire was mentioned and Ruby wasn't. Emerald gets the Sceptile, but it was originally used by Wally.
I'd honestly go Bulbasaur for red, not just because of the manga, but in Let's Go he has Venasaur (with Blue having Charizard and Green Blastoise) and artwork of the three from Pokemon Red and Green have him with Venasaur with the same breakdown for the other two. Plus it represents growth better which is really what Red's journey is about, with Speed and Power fitting Blue better since he's always ahead of you throughout the journey.
AussieDragoon it’s because of the manga
nah, one of the main iconic pokemon of Red is Charizard
@@Usario321 iconic does not mean that is right
@@Usario321 Nope, in the main concept art, Blue was always shown to have a Charizard, Red a Venusaur and Green a Blastoise.
@@plaguerim5608 Yeah but when people associate pokemon not everyone thinks of that concept art. Charizard is the most popular and I think the fact that the colors match also makes it more iconic. Plus Gary and Ash, as their anime counterparts, have Blastoise and Charizard respectively
I think for Red. The situation is that he was supposedly to have Bulbasaur. But due to popularity Red was retconned to have Charmander.
Charizard blastoise venusaur swampert blaziken and sceptile rocks along with the other starters too.
He canonically had Pikachu as his starter

Red-Polywag Blue-Scyther Green-Jigglypuff
isnt the first time we met blue in the manga was in the forest where he tries to catch mew with a charmander?
It’s always been a big argument for which Kanto Starter is canon to Red’s character. Charmander makes sense thematically, it matched Red’s name with its color and Type, it’s the physically offensive Starter, and is the most popular, and it’s canon in Origins and Masters. However I’m in the Bulbasaur camp, as Red has Bulbasaur in the Adventures manga, Generations, and Let’s Go. It’s also #1 in the National Dex, and is featured as his starter in the original concept art for Gen. 1, and is just more interesting and cooler to me. And for his anime counterpart, Bulbasaur was the first Starter that Ash caught and was probably used the most in battle compared to Charizard and Squirtle.
It's Pikachu. Pokemom Yellow.
@@__Soya__hmm let's say a event occured where he got all three through insane journey
@@ohhellwhereami2574 What?
The Pokemon games should have the protagonists actual names as the default me if you don't feel like naming the characters like Link from the Zelda games where you can name Link. I always wanted to know the names of every protagonist, I only knew the protagonists from gen 1-6, the protagonists from sun and moon, the let's go games, and swsh I can never remember there names. Another thing, Ethan will always be Gold to me because it's so awkward for him to be named Ethan when his rival is named Silver and his female counterpart is named Crystal, so the names for the trio just feels wrong, Silver, Crystal, and Ethan Gold is just so much better.
I think you Need to take more in consideration Pokemon Master and the Kotobukiya Figure line
Well, Pokemon Masters is a Non-Canon Spinoff Game as shown by Leaf existing in the game despite Leaf not being canon anywhere else unless you count Green in LGPE. Red clearly has Bulbasaur as a starter 8 seperate things lead to that conclusion. 3 seperate things show that Hilbert has Tepig. As for the figures they do seem to be the best at showing what starter they got.
Arelious Manga is another Non-Canon spin-off that doesn’t mean anything. I think when was given the opportunity to game Freak tell the story of Red properly, It made Pokémon Origins and Red pick a Charmander! So, according Game Freak, Charmander is the real Red Starter!
@@pedromonteiro2248 I agree with that. Red's starter pokemon is Charmander.
Although the game was made by the creators of pokemon the story is not canon but starter his canon
You forgot that Ruby (Manga Brendon) uses a Mudkip. Great video tho!
Brendan
I personally think that Red's starter is Bulbasaur because of Pokemon Generations, Let's Go, promotional material for Generation One, and the Manga.
Correct
I agree with this.
True
Wrong. Curse you, Pokemon Generation for making Red choose Bulbasaur for a starter.
@@michaelsarmiento4661 Red's creator, Ken sugimori, has always been pretty adamant about this: he starts with Bulbasaur. There is tons of artworks about this.
Red's starter pokemon being pikachu makes sense. Honestly in the games.
I fknd it amusing that you are confused by X having both a Chesnaught and a Charizard since if you play the games you 100% understand why he has both and why Chespin is his starter. He gets the Charmander later in the games as a gift, remember?
I think red's actual starter is balbasur because he is shown to have bulbasaur in pkmn generation, manga and in the early concept art for red and blue, red had a bulbasaur but in pkmn origins he had a charmander which in the end can mega evolve which means he chose a charmander in mega timeline
Nope, Red from Red,Blue,Green,Yellow are different then Red from Fire Red and Leaf Green. Og Red Choose Bulbasaur or Pikachu wether "Fire" Red Choose Charmander as his starter. Heck, we even have both Red and Leaf in the game cover representing Charizard (Red) and Venusaur (Leaf). Both of them are different version of Red, and the early art is intended towards OG Red, not "Fire" Red. Pokemon generation have Blue Oak choosing Blastoise as his starter lol. We all know Blue always pick the more superior type starter than Red in EVERY games (Except for Yellow), so it doesn't make sense for him to pick Squirtle if Red pick Bulbasaur. And when Red battle with Bulbasaur doesn't necessarily means that he pick the Bulbasaur in the beginning. He can just get it from somewhere else which we didn't know where (In Pokemon Yellow he got Bulbasaur from a child in Cerulean city). Pokemon generation is also heavily inspired be the Fire red and Leaf green remakes (Except for the part when Red travelling to 5 other region), so it still connected with "Fire" Red having Charmander as his starter. Manga only following the early generation art which is why Red doesn't have a brown hair, Leaf name is Blue/Green, Lyra doesn't exist and being overshadowed by Crys. If they following the remakes from the beginning then we will have Red choosing Charmander because the tittle wouldn't be called "Red Chapter" anymore but "Fire Red Chapter". Also if you take the promotional art into account, Ethan/Gold would have a totodile instead of Cyndaquil lol.
The very first episode is an homage to the manga. That's why we follow Pikachu so closely, because while Bulbasaur was the first Pokemon from Professor Oak (not the first actual Pokemon), Pikachu is the most iconic in relation to Manga Red.
@@nxlegend7526yellow is game timeline (i think)

In Masters, Kris chooses a Totodile while Lyra chooses Chikorita.
Where did Kris got the Totodile. Was it from Professor Elm's Lab or did she caught it elsewhere. The reason why I'm saying this was because Silver stole Totodile from Professor Elm's Lab and many adaptation shows that Silver's starter pokémon is Totodile. Now, who exactly got Totodile in Professor Elm's Lab: Kris or Silver.

In the manga blastoise is her main pokemon
I always see her as a Venusaur user. It’s the only one remaining after all.
@@Kaempfdog (Assuming Red got Charmander)
Things to point out: Could have at least mentioned that Ash IS technically Red’s main anime counterpart and that his Starter is Pikachu and that his Strongest other Kanto Starter is Charmander but fine. It doesn’t matter in this point at whether Red will choose between Charmander, Bulbasaur, or Squirtle. I believe in the theory that Red will have his Pokemon traded to Blue/Green Oak AND Leaf/Green to get their Starter Pokemon. White didn’t get Serperior AS a Serperior immediately, she initially get it as a Servine first who then evolved it in under her ownership. Despite being a bit similar, it was established that Nate and Rosa aren’t counterparts of Hilbert and Hilda respectively due to the fact Black 2 & White 2 ARE sequels to Black and White in which they take place 2 years after the events of those previous games. First off, SPOILER ALERT to those who haven’t read the manga... Gigi, the Tepig that White took care of as an actress who did decided to go with N did Team-up with Whitley/Faitsu to put out the fire to save the Pokemon in N’s Castle BUUUT it hasn’t been confirmed in the end that Gigi decided to join Whitley/Faitsu officially OR that she is still with N.
If you want to argue wether or not Red choose Charmander or Bulbasaur then you shouldn't use the manga or even the let's go game. Wanna know why? Cus both of this is not canon at all. Listen ya'll, Pokemon adventures manga is not canon like EVER. Not only the plot of this manga diverged from the canon material which is the game so far to the point where the mangaka create his own version of character (Yellow and Emerald (Wally was robbed of becoming the main three of hoenn btw and being replaced by oc)) and even pokemon transformation that shouldn't even exist in the first place (Three headed legendary bird for example). Also the mangaka got all the protagonist personality wrong, he swapped Red and Blue personality and completely rewrite Ethan/Gold personality into a pervert PLUS rewrite Silver personality who is rude and broddy to practically everyone to this socially awkward boy, he also change Brendan/Ruby and May/Sapphire personality by making Brendan from a adventurous battler into a contest dreamer and May from graceful contester into a forest tarzan, (I'll skip the sinnoh region since i didn't really care that much about Lucas/Diamond, Barry/Pearl or even Dawn/Platinum in this manga) He rewrite Hilbert/Black personality who in game always serious into this goofy person and rewrite both Nate/Lack2 and Rosa/Whi2 backstory where's Lack2 was a unova police enforcer and Whi2 was a former member of team plasma plus also retconning their personality too. All of this manga protagonist was a far cry from their game counterpart, which strenghten my point of why the manga is still non canon until now. Speaking about the starter pokemon, the adventures manga also got a few protagonist's starter wrong. Brendan/Ruby should got treecko not mudkip as shown in the ORAS trailer (Which is game canon btw since it was released by gamefreak), Hilbert/Black should got oshawott and Hilda/White should got Tepig (most official promotional art shown Hilbert and Hilda with Oshawott and Tepig), Nate/Lack2 should got Tepig not oshawott and Rosa/Whi2 should got snivy not Foongus as shown in the Black2White2 trailer (Game canon again btw). Serena/Yvonne should got fennekin not froakie (Pokemon anime, generation and several official promotion art, game canon btw), Calem/Xavier is debatable since the game canon shown him with Chespin but many promotional art shown him with Froakie. So again the manga choice of starter pairings is poorly outdated by the game canon, so you should stop looking to the manga to to decide which starter that all pokemon protagonist choose. Let's go game itself also is not canon to the main pokemon timeline. Wanna know why? Cus in this version Red never disbanded team rocket AND still letting them roam free across the kanto region unlike his main counterpart who play a vital role in team rocket destruction be it from the classic timeline or the mega timeline. Threfore this Red is non canon and his choice of starter in here is non canon as well.

Im gonna Argue that Pikachu is In Fact Red's Starter for Various Reasons in the Games, for some Key Reasons 1.) Red's Adventure must've taken Place in Yellow Because his Canon Team Consists of all 3 Kanto Starters, The Eevee from Celadon (which is now an espeon), One of The Snorlax, Presumably from East of Celadon, and His Starter, Pikachu. 2.) Piggybacking off of #1, Red Has all 3 Starters, Which Is (Legally) Impossible, and he could've traded with Blue for Another Starter But How'd he get The 3rd one, If you try and Take Another Starter from Oak at Any time, he'll tell you to not be greedy, and Locks you from the pokeball, but in Yellow? You can get all 3 easily. (For the Newbies: You Get Bulbasaur in Cerulean City In the House Next to the PokeCenter, but Pikachu must like you enough, which you can do after spamming Healing Items on it even after its at full HP You Get Charmander North Of Cerulean After Nugget Bridge, theres a Trainer if you go Northwest after the Bridge and a Trainer will give you it. For Squirtle, You Must Talk to The Officer Standing In Vermillion, Shes not hard to miss. Im pretty sure you have to beat Surge beforehand though.) 3.) Pikachu is Asscheeks, right? And Red Has one, Although Having Multiple Times to Evolve it, but why wouldn't he, because In Pokemon Yellow *You can't evolve your Starter* Also Red's Manga starter is actually Poliwag, he Gets Bulbasaur as a Gift from oak and his Pikachu after Catching it In Pewter. (To Be Determined, I’d hazard a guess and say Primarina, but anything regarding just US/UM Selene is welcome) -Let’s Go, Pikachu! & Let’s Go, Eevee!: -Chase: Pikachu (Artwork, Box Art Cover) -Elaine: Eevee (Artwork, Box Art Cover) Gen VIII: -Sword & Shield: -Victor: Rillaboom (Manga) -Gloria: Inteleon (Masters) -Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl: -Lucas: Infernape (BDSP Trailer, gives both Barry and Dawn their Masters starters) -Dawn: Empoleon (Anime, BDSP Trailer) To clarify, I treat alternate versions of protagonists from similar games (R/S vs. E, D/P vs. Pt, and S/M vs. US/UM) as different, but very similar entities and universes, since there are elements that differ between them (like Steven vs. Wallace, the Sinnoh evolutions, and the entirety of the events surrounding Necrozma). As such, I’d say the possibility of receiving a different starter is fair game. This allows situations like May shown with both members of the Blaziken and Swampert line to be worked around into a fitting conclusion.
There are two timeline in pokemon- advanced and mega timeline which means Brendan choose a mudkip in advanced timeline and treeko in mega timeline
Exactly he forgot to specify that there are several timelines in Pokemon including a mega
i love these videos but the slight stretchy idles of all the portraits makes me intensely uncomfortable
I can’t wait to see sone of them in masters
I think Tepig is starter of Hilda and Nate, Hilberts starter is Samurott, and Rosas starter is Snivy
In universes where Red has to pick between the 3 original starters (Such as Red and Blue, Fire Red and Leaf Green, the Manga, pokemon Masters, pokemon generations) red normally picks Charmander, sometimes Bulbasaur, but his CANON starter is Pikachu as pokemon Yellow is the Canon gen 1 storyline and in every single canon red appearance, his starter and ace is Pikachu. People who say pokemon yellow is just “based off the anime” dont understand that Ash is just the anime’s Red. Red and Blue were created for gameplay purposes such as customization and trading with no story line, while Yellow actually introduced story and a linear path to take. I do think gym leaders and blue keep their red and blue teams though, as Blue’s final eevee teams dont feel like him, and he wouldve probably immediately switched eevee out for his desire to create the ultimate champion team, Hence Red having his canon Yellow team in the sequels, yet Blue still having his classic Red and Blue team (Gyarados instead of his “blastoise” is canon).
Why are all of the characters having an epileptic seizure? I just want to slap them an yell at them to hold still!
Why is Calem so starter not froakie it’s literally in smash and is the mascot of gen 6
Well, all counterparts of Calem(Manga, Generations) always have a Chespin
@@RetsuOnYT ok but I’m the games imagine if u battle him he would need a mega but how about he just use ash greninja I mean every make protagonist is a counterpart to ash
He also had a charizard in Generations so I'm guessing that's his mega and starters always have their normal ability when you choose them. Edit:I forgot that in the Manga he had a Mega Charizard X
@@RetsuOnYT I know that’s his backup plan I believe red has charmander or bulbasaur but I prefer charmander, that Ethan has cydiquil bc he always has one in all of his counterparts, Brendan has treeko bc it’s week to Mays and is the most present one, Lucas has either chimchar or turtwig, Hilbert has oshowott bc Bianca has tepig in the anime Cherenkov has snivy in manga and Hilbert has a oshowott in masters, calem has either froakie or chespin, elio has litten, and victor has grookey.
@@custardyboi6951 Calem will still get a froakie in the games if he picked Chespin because shauna will trade you one
Basically no love for water starters
If you watched the Pokemon Generation specials on the pokemon KZhead channel Brandon has Grovyle during the attack on Team Magma/Aqua Base
For me Red’s true starter is Bulbasaur because I love the Adventures manga and because of early game drawing and sketches like that one with Blue and Green (um the trainers not the games) in a circle, Blue has Charmander and Green has squirtle
My headcannon is Charmander but you have a fair point.
Early game drawings also depict Brendan primarily with the Torchic line and Ethan with the Tododile line. The former is least associated with that starter and the latter is almost always associated with Cyndaquil so i'd take them with a grain of salt. And manga isn't cannon. In Adventures their actual first pokemon isn't even a starter.
By giving Calem Chespin, Shauna would have Greninja and post game she gives you an egg from her Starter So Calem would have Chesnaught, Charizard and Greninja if he has Chespin
KSound Kaiju true but still greninja fits him more
Yessir
RuffledRowlit: only mentions Pokémon Masters twice Me: what about the other protagonists in Pokémon Masters?
Red uses Charizard Also you forgot Leaf which she uses Eevee Ethan uses Cyndaquil Kris uses Totodile Lyra uses Chikorita Brendan uses Treecko Hilbert uses Oshawott Hilda uses Tepig Rosa uses Snivy Calem surprisingly doesn’t use a starter in Pokémon Masters which is weird for me
Hömïë dčhääñël and Serena has fenecin
Exactly thank u
good video!
Damn water types never get any love
The only water type starters I like is Squirtle and Popplio
@@Edrian_is_Sincere is froakie a joke to you.
Squirtle = Anime Totodile = Anime Mudkip = *MEMES* Piplup = Anime Oshawoot = Anime Froakie = *ANIME* Poplio = Idk Prob Not Sobble = Still New To Me
These are what I believe the official starters are (keep in mind these are my opinion) Red- Charmander Gold- Cyndaquil ( even though I like totodile more) Brendan-Treecko May- Torchic Lukas- Chimchar Dawn- Piplup Hilbert- Oshowott (I like snivy more though) Hilda- honestly I’m not entirely sure Nate- Tepig Rosa- Snivy Calem- Either Chespin or Froakie Serena- Fennekin Elio- Litten Selene- Rowlet Victor- grookey Gloria- Scorbunny
What about dawn
I agree 100%
Skully The Ramp shoot I forgot thanks for reminding me though
I also prefer Totadile over Cyndaquil. I think Brendan's supposed to have Mudkip, while Calem is supposed to have Froakie. As for Red I see him as either having Bulbasaur or Charmander depending on the Universe, with Blue Oak getting the starter with the type advantage, & Green Leaf getting the starter weak to Red's. I agree with your choices for Gens 5 & 8 completely. Gen 4 is a complicated mess although Dawn gets Piplup.
its not what you believe, its what you think they should be
Brendan uses a Swampert on the trade cards of hoenn, I can definitely only see him using a mudkip
Charmander isnt the most present for red, Bulbasour is, *BULBASOUR AND RED MOMENTS:* -Pokemon Let's go -Pokemon Adventures Manga -Old boxart of Red and Green *CHARIMANDER AND RED MOMENTS:* -Pokemon Origins -Pokemon Masters *SQUIRTLE AND RED MOMENTS:* -Most likely being Red's Starter in Smash bros brawl, cause we can see him catching ivysour and charizard, but not seeing him catch squirtle. Bulbasour won 3:2:1. So bulbasour is most likely Red's True starter
Actual answer: nothing is cannon and they all began with wooper
UNDERRATED COMMENT
Charmander is my favourite starter but I hate when they try to fix red with Charizard due to its overrating, his starter is either bulbasaur or Pikachu,(origins red is hella boring, due to not enough screentime and Pokemon masters is a complete fan service)
Origins is still the closest adaption of the games we've ever had. The only thing that diverts from them is mega evolution but it doesn't divert anywhere near as much the main anime or mangas do.
I think that Hilbert fits a lot with oshawott due to his personality, not to goofy, not to serious. Bianca, however, fits tepig perfectly. Tepig is a really goofy pokemon, and it's a bit "stupid", as well as Bianca. Cheren fits perfectly for snivy, as they're both serious, calculative and intelligent. At least, that's my opinion.
I forgot which pokemon movie but Brendan did appeared and used Swampert in some kind of league or tournament battle
AND MINE IS SOBBLE, BECAUSE I HAVEN’T EVER FELT HAPPINESS :D
What happend to the true teams for the rivals of gslar
Hop probably gonna have Sobble. Marnie has Morpeko given to her first and Bede I am torn between Solosis the first Pokemon he was seen with or the Hattena but it seems odd for his starter to be a Gigantamax Pokemon
In Pokemon Masters hilbert uses oshawott.
Donkeyman 051 Pokémon masters isn’t cannon
True. Manga come first
@@meltyanimations2672 Although the game was made by the creators of pokemon the story is not canon but starter his canon
Hang on, didn't Brendan have a Mudkip in the manga? Treek does suit him better but he was seen with more then on starter outside of that anime scene.
Red Charmander Pikachu Ethan cyndaquil Brendan treecko Lucas Turtwig
I agree with most of your choices except Red (Bulbasaur), Hilda (Tepig), and Hilbert (Oshawott).
You should do a video about each characters whole team
Sooo let me this out of the way. You can have your opinions. Aaaand I disagree with them, since my opinion is that I am going with the manga. You ALSO forgot Pokemon Protagonists, because in every Generation the protagonists get the names of the games, like Diamond(Turtwig as his starter) and Pearl(Chimchar as his starter) while Platinum gets the last starter after some mishaps in the manga. Since we are talking about the manga here, the Black 2 White 2 volumes 54-55 will be released at the end of April in Japan and we are still waiting for the rest of the world. As for Gen 5, the characters are supposed to be separated by 2 years apart from each other.
Red's real starter is Poliwag, end of discussion.
^^^
Lol
That one of his pokemon
Thats not a starter, and the manga isn’t even canon
@@bleurrr_ the manga is very much canon, Satoshi himself said that it's the closest thing to what he envisioned pokemon to be.
For me it’s Red(charizard) Blue(Blastoise) Leaf/Green(Venusaur) Ethan(Typhlosion) Kris(feraligator) Lyra(Meganium) Silver(feraligator) Brendan(Sceptile) May(Blaziken and swampert due to the oras animated trailer) Lucas(infernape) Dawn(Torterra) Barry(Empoleon) Hilbert(samurott) Hilda(Emboar) Cheren(Serperior) Bianca(Emboar) Nate(Emboar) Rosa(serperior) Hugh(Samurott) Calem(greninja) Serena(Delphox) Shauna(Chesnaught) Elio(Primarina) Selene(Decidueye) Hau(Incineroar) Victor(Rillaboom) Gloria(Intellion) Hop(Cinderace) Also I know people are gonna say but red chose bulbasaur, Lucas chose turtwig Calem chose chespin,dawn chose piplup,hau chose rowlet, or Gloria chose scorbunny. But this is my opinion so don’t attack call me out on the choices I picked.
Also I didn’t include Chase or Elaine because their starters I can see no one argue about.
My Starter Pokemon: Red: Charizard Blue: Blastoise Leaf: Venusaur Ethan: Typhlosion Silver: Feraligatr Kris: Feraligatr Lyra: Meganium Brendan: Sceptile/ Swampert (Rival) May: Blaziken Wally: None (Gallade) Lucas: Torterra Barry: Infernape Dawn: Empoleon Hilbert: Samurott Hilda: Emboar Cheren: Serperior Bianca: Emboar Nate: Emboar Rosa: Serperior Hugh: Samurott Calem: Chesnaught (Kanto: Charizard X) Serena: Delphox (Kanto: Blastoise) Shauna: Greninja Elio: Incineroar Selene: Decidueye Hau: Primarina Chase: Pikachu Elaine: Eevee Victor: Rillaboom Gloria: Cinderace Hop: Inteleon
For me I think Lucas uses Chimchar...cuz in the anime and Pokemon Master, Barry uses piplup

off of just the manga Red:bulbasaur Blue:charmander Green:Squirtle Gold:cyndaquill Silver:totodile Kris:Chicorita Ruby:Mudkip Sapphire:Torchic Emerald:Treeco Diamond:Turtwig Pearl:Chimchar Platinum:Piplup Black:Tepig White:Snivy Nate:Oshawott Rosa:None X:Chespin/Charmander Y:Froakie Sun:littin Moon:Rowlet
My opinion: Red (Bulbasaur) Leaf/Green/Blue (Squirtle) Gold/Ethan (Cyndaquil) Krys/Lyra (Chikorita) Brendan (Mudkip/Treecko) May (Torchic) Wes (Umbreon & Espeon) Michael (Eevee) Lucas (Turtwig) Dawn (Piplup) Hilbert (Oshawott) Hilda (Tepig) Nate (Tepig) Rosa (Snivy) Calem (Chespin) Serena (Fennekin) Elio (Litten) Selene (Rowlet) Chase (Pikachu) Elaine (Eevee) Victor (Grookey) Gloria (Scorbunny)
Some of them are canon thanks to the Anime, the Manga, and the Masters game. But other are based on various fan arts. So here I am including the main characters from LGPE, PLA, and SV Red: Charmander Leaf: Bulbasaur Ethan: Cyndaquil Kris: Totodile Lyra: Chikorita Brendan: Treecko May: Torchic Lucas: Turtwig Dawn: Piplup Hilbert: Oshawott Hilda: Tepig Nate: Tepig Rosa: Snivy
You should do a prediction of ash's full galar team
Lol what would be ash’s starter XD
Mauri_Gaming ._. technically charmander
@@Douchenko No bro. Have u actually watched the show?
@@Douchenko he didn't receive it from Prof. Oak so I don't think it counts. It would be pikachu or else everybody would be mad a me
I'd say if purely going off the actual starters... froakie actually as it's the only one to technically come from a professor plus the whole battle bond phenomenon.. he's clearly developed a bond with greninja unlike anything ever seen with any of his other "starter" pokemon
He was going to choose Squirtle in Episode 1.
I don't fully agree with the list in this video, and feel like some agree with me. I would follow the manga. So if I was gonna make a list I would change these: Red has Bulbasaur Ruby has Mudkip Black-2 has Oshawott And I kinda don't agree with the series when they made Sword have Grookey. I thought he would have Sobble
calling him "sword"
Serena's Pokespe counterpart (Y) has a Greninja
Red -Charmander Blue-Squirtle Leaf - bulbasaur Ethan gold- cyndaquil Silver- totodile Crystal(kris) - chikorita Ruby-mudkip Sapphire may-torchic Emerald brendan-treecko Lucas diamond-turtwig Barry pearl- chimchar Dawn platinum- piplup Black-tepig White-snivy Blake-oshwatt Whitey Rosa- snivy Calem- chespin Serena-fennekin Sun- litten Moon-poplio Hau-rowlet Viktor-grookey Gloria-scorbunny Hop-sobble This is my opinion
I always nicknamed my Cyndaquil Exbo after the adventures manga Cyndaquil
Manga is true story of red and pokemon's base story, so that bulbasur fits for red
Lot of people claiming that Bulbasaur is the true starter of Red because of manga but these people couldn’t be more W-R-O-N-G! When was given the opportunity to Pokémon Company and Game Freak tells the true story of Red and the first games they made Pokémon Origins. In Pokémon Origins, which the only purpose is shows Red’s real journey, Red got a CHARMANDER! So it is clear that the creators of Pokémon endorsed that Red true starter is C-H-A-R-M-A-N-D-E-R! And the author of video is correct on his choices!
It would be interesting if the player you control was introduced as a antagonist in the game 🔥
I like the SAO wallpaper in the back.
