Our ever popular Slash Cut Exhaust, inspired by the simple clean looking exhaust setup used on both the Guy Martin Great Escape Scrambler, and the Scrambler 1200 that featured in James Bon / 007 most recent film, No Time to Die.
This has been adapted by ourselves to fit the latest 2024 onwards models only, which have changed to a 2 into 1 then back in 2 design.
In installing these, there is a 7 kg weight saving over the original design, and the bike will self adapt to fuel correctly with increased exhaust gas flow.
Out of all the scramblers, Triumph is the only one that has a real scrambler type exhaust system
I have the Total Triumph slash cut exhaust on my 2023 XC - a bit of pain to fit it (needed big rubber mallet !) maybe this is easier now on the 2024 model. I am very very happy with it - looks fab and sounds awesome.
Yes, this is a totally different design, and slips on in place of the original. Triumph have changed to a single pipe, which gets rid of the need to try and fit to two pipes running at different directions at the same time.
Interesting that triumph adapted the exhaust system again from the previous models .. I do like the fact they have went back to a key ignition system..
Indeed, interesting they totally changed it. Key is no bad thing, but keyless very useful sometimes.
It could be that a change was needed to meet the latest eu regs? @TheTotalTriumph
Look & sounds fab, pillion many feel the heat though.
Hi, Looks nice. Will the oem final heatshield still fit over so just exits poke out? I still take a pillion some times. Also, based on others comments and the video, it looks like there is plenty of room for a longer version DB killer in the pipes using the same anchor point. Are you planning to develop/offer that ? I reckon it would be a popular accessory.
So does thus new set up not have a CAT built in? I feel like withkut the CAT itll be too loud.. is there db killers or baffles available for this?
No cat built in. Have been this way for years now with cat in silencer, so we use baffles as standard to keep volume ok.
Does the bike need to be retuned for modifications like this? Does it unlock a few more HP ?
They self adapt, but starting and running bike (with no throttle) until cooling fan kicks in. We have not tested for BHP.
can you keep the silver "number plate" when you fit it ?
No afraid not.
Looks amazing but I'm curious about the temperature for the passenger
Certainly less than the OEM with CAT.
Question here, whats decibel levels when the engine rotates at a constant or variable speed or/and when the engine is idling?
And whats the difference in decibel levels when the baffles that comes with the slash cut silencer are on ?
As a new 1200X owner I must admit that exhaust looks great👍, unfortunately it's waaaayyyyy too loud for me personally, even with the baffles in. I'm also around 120kg suited up so would I notice a 7kg saving in sprung weight?, probably not. Looks a well made piece of kit though.👍
You’re 220kg suited up 😮! 35 stone…. That poor bike lol
@@wiseguyrob2005 😂😂😂😂😂...bit of a typo there! Should be 120kg. If I was 220 the bike would probably disappear in the crack of my a*se!😂
Is this system road legal?
Also, do you ship to canada?
Yes no problem at all. Contact us on sales@totaltriumph.co.uk
@@TheTotalTriumph just submitted a enquiry! Thanks.
That’s just far too loud but each to their own. I’d like a different exhaust for my XE and I can’t understand why no one has made something with a sport cat for the Euro 5 models.
Would be too expensive to make.....keep OEM if you want the cat?
What?
way too loud..even with the baffles in :(
Its fruity - each to their own!
