  • I seriously cannot get my head around the fact that people are taking this way too seriously. If you have watched previous videos of the class as well as specific people, you would know that it's called "banter"! They are actually friends.

Amber is hearing you and seeing your troubles, she corrected all mistakes, helped with pointes and made so many jokes! Eva is precious and so honest, vulnerable, trying so hard in public and out here irl, we can see her becoming a real dancer! Doing so much better than we probably would. Tell Amber that she learned this before her bones hardened. It's harder for Eva and will take longer than a kid.

    @bethanytalbot2445@bethanytalbot24457 ай бұрын
    • Ehhh, it depends- to provide support, the shank needs to conform to the arch, and if someone doesn’t already have strong feet they’ll tend to struggle with a hard shank. If the dancer can’t get over the box because the shank is too hard, that’s not doing them any favors.

Although Amber is a good teacher, she would be even better if she learned the phycology part of teaching of using more positive words so that Eva or any other student won't feel insecure about their abilities. Also so they would feel more encouraged to learn. Alot of younger teachers start out this way but through more experience they get better at it. • Whenever I get a pair of pointe shoes I'll definitely be reffering back to this video. 😁 I have a really weird background in dance and never got to try out pointe, but I've always wanted to. 😍 PS The juxtaposition of Amber looking so apathetic and you being so insanely excited is hilarious. 😂 (You can tell Amber is secretly laughing on the inside though.)

  • We need a collab with Josephine of the Pointe Shop KZhead channel. I don't think those pointe shoes are well fitted for you, esp if you can't get over the shank.

    • I think the fitter commented below, she said she was over the box when they fitted her so they gave her a stiffer shank. At least that’s what I gathered.

    • She DID say she didn't break them in properly/at all, but yeah, her feet are not compatible with those shoes, for whatever reason.

      @BeckBeckGo@BeckBeckGo7 ай бұрын
    • You are absolutely right. Those pointes aren't the ones. I even believe she might need one pointe for her right feet and a different one for her left, based on how she said she felt. All the weight should be on the platerform, no where else and right away. And that's not the case at all here, at all, at all, at all Another thing, it shouldn't hurt, not like that, not that fast. Something is off, that's why she doesn't feel comfortable. That's why she's so nervous. Gotta trust your instinct, gotta listen to your body. Pointes are amazing shoes ( my favorites), but they can Fuck your body up real fast, real goooooooood !

    • @@JustMeKayC Pointes should right away. That's why you have to get years of training to prepare your body.

  • Love it!! I’ve been asking for your basics to help with your technique in center. This was great! 👀 😍 Fix your ribbons and I can’t wait for the to be continued….dah dah dah. Really great effort. Bravo 👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️❤️🩰🩰 Amber and her beautiful turn out and exact right amount of knee hypertension to make the most gorgeous line putting us naturally non turned out bone straight legged people into complete envy mode 😮😖😭. Oh well, we do our best 🫠😆. Once you get the feet going you’ll be able to fake it till you make it. That’s what I did. I’ll never be the most turned out in the hips but darn it my ankles in tondu are pretty freakin good. 😄😇 it’s been a few decades of moons since my last pair of pointe shoes. You’re very inspiring so thank you very much for sharing your experience and maybe I’ll get a fitting myself for a pair at my nearest pointe shoe shop. Nothing crazy but some bar work from my kitchen island a few times a week would be fun and a good work out.
