For food that lasts a long time honey is hard to beat , they found honey in jars in the pyramids that was still good .
I ate some of it and I kfnlkbflkkufnkfkekuenbfkubekll.ednfkeebfkek.e.e.nfebfb
For everyone calling it expiration date, it's a use by date.
The title is click bait 3 - 5 years, much less one or two years, is a long way from "never expire".
Some make it if they are processed correctly. These days, employees/companies are too relaxed about their canning process and don't sterilize things as they should be.
Rotation is key. Buy what you use and use what you store. Use a sharpie pen and mark the Best Buy date on the top of the can. Storage temperature is very important. Have more than one hand operated can openers as well. Watch you tube videos on using the military can openers. Pop top can fail a lot. High acidic foods also do not have long shelf life. Before you buy a lot of an item, buy a few cans and eat them. That way you will not waste funds. Buy a food dehydrator and dehydrate vegetables. Personally our family does not buy the brands the speaker recommends due to the high salt content and questionable quality.
All good until the world runs out of food and energy . Buy a couple acres, start collecting seeds, learn to grow your own because the world's economy is crashing and Covid had nothing on scarce
True. I rotate all my stuff by using it on a day to day basis. That way it stays good. If I don’t use something I give it to charity.
Most can goods will last a long time just keep cool and dry
Can definitely lose flavor after 2 years, most canned foods, but not all.
This is all very true and those dates on the cans are only a suggested time in which the "taste" not the spoil date might dwindle. However, I have noticed in my few decades of storing canned and bottled foods is, quality control at the manufacturing plants. Some products are not making it past 2 years when they should be. Most of those are because the canning process or sterilization process was flawed and bacteria prevailed. When you see a canned item bulging at both ends, you know there are gases inside and those tend to be from bacteria vs. a nice vacuum.
Every serious camper, prepper or yachtsman knows Keystone is the key. Spam is next.
Well said
"Beans means Heinz," WTF does that have to do with this subject. This is as far as I can go.
I love the red feather creamery butter! Edit here adding info: I also love Yoder’s canned bacon. It’s gotten super expensive though!
These foods are pretty good. I have some already.
Never seen feeeze dried peas at store
Huh if the kids today saw a date from last year and so on forget it wouldn’t put any dates in view .
Do all Campbell soups last 2-5 years or just the vegetable beef?
Sardines have good magnesium.
Here in Malta I never saw them like butter
Trick is to know when the food item was packed.
Why are most of the recommendations brand-specific? Did these companies sponsor the video?
Fun fact: Frozen food never expires. So if you take canned goods and freeze them, theyre still good for that full years length when unfrozen.
Surely you jest; freezing canned goods diminish the nutrient value and increase the spoilage rate??!!!
Do you have a freezer that does not need electricity? Just curious.
@@barbarajennings1798 didn't realize a freezer was the only way to freeze food
Why no beans allowed in the Hormel chili?
Too brand centric. Survivalist commercial.
Spam will last until the end of time. :)
You must be getting a kickback pushing all these expensive items. I’m outta here!
Need to be in cans that you need a can opener to open. Avoid tab open cans. They last only 1 year.
I've had and still got 2 out of 3 cans of Amy's tomato soup that I've had for 2 years now.
Not true. I have a lot of tab opening cans with a "best by" date over 1 year in the future. I also have some canned ham that has a "best by" date somewhere in excess of 4 years. Even pull tab Spam (tm) is reputed to last forever. I routinely eat canned soups from pull tab cans that are years past their "best by" date. Whoever researched the script for the text-to-voice narration did not do a very good job.
@@buggsy5 Yep. Best by date doesn't mean that it expires then, especially if stored in the right conditions.
How do you save the leftover product after you have opened the container?
Recan it
Um,is this a promotion of food companies????
Most tinned food will last forever. As long as the tin isn’t blown it should be good. Although it may lose some flavour.
Never expire??? The title is a lie.
Honeyville farms is Permanently closed
20 year old pinto beans dry after20 years it will take 6 hours in a pressure cooker to get done. Talking from experience.
Too many brand names to take seriously...
It is specific brand advertising masquerading as a objective videeo - what more can we expect.
Baked Beans? Chef boy r D?
the sound/tone voices are a matter of opinion
I had a can of tuna in water which was expired on 2023 like a few months ago and I opened it to use it. I didn’t like the look and the taste too. I was afraid to use it. Of course I made a nice tuna salad, but didn’t use it. there is no cool place in LA.
Make sure it isn't from China !
I love THESE ARE CANNED FOODS THAT WILL LAST FOREVER! number 1 lasts 2 to 3 years :P
I think one of the items was "up to a year". The longest shelf life listed was either 30 or 40 years - far short of forever.
@@buggsy5 yeah but it starts with 3 years in a video that says food that last forever
I watch a few videos like this that says last forever they all are like this nothing is lasting forever specially, count food. It’s disgusting when it stays kind a little bit long and I usually don’t like to use canned food any of them.
I'll wager half of these brands cost insane prices only the wealthy can afford to stock up on.
'never' expires doesn't matter unless you plan to live forever? you gonna buy a 200 years of canned food.
Yeah, I'm planning on living forever, what, you're not? 😜 Nobody said that you have to buy 200 years worth of food. You'd need a few extra houses to hold it all. Wow, maybe you'd need a warehouse to hold it all. That wouldn't even address how you'd rotate all that food. Or just imagine what that would cost. Thank you for giving me something fun to think about after an afternoon of laundry. I have a couple of years of home canned food and I'm starting to buy some freeze dried foods from Thrive Life. They have a large variety of foods, fruit, vegetables, meat, sauces, eggs, you name it.
@@suegeorge998 I also have a lot of my own canned food. Don't know about you but I enjoy doing it and showing others
@@tinabegone5269 yes! I love canning. Anything that I can get my hands on. Meat, vegetables, fruit, and I have a small orchard and this last year was my best year ever for production and apple size. I didn't have to even get up on a ladder. Just what I could reach. I think it's safe to say I won't be buying applesauce from the grocery store. For years. And apple pie filling and apple butter.
How is it never expires but the ai says like it expires in 3 to 5 years. Huh
Campbell’s lasts a long time because it’s full of preservatives. Albacore tuna is full of mercury. They stay deep and have a better chance of absorbing more mercury. Freeze dried? They need a freezer. What if no power? Btw red feather butter is very expensive. I buy Ghee butter. Much cheaper. Is this a sponsor paid commercial?
LOL, every on here has an expiration date.
Click bait tile. No canned foods last FOREVER like title says.
I think you are contradicting yourself your title
Why the video saying foods never expire but when you explain it to us and say oh it can go 2 to 4 years or something like that that doesn’t mean they never expire and on the counter are expiration dates too so don’t lie to people please. They say the canned food is already not good to eat for your health, and you are suggesting us to eat that even when it’s expired.
You're not going to worry about tinned food being bad for you if you're starving. Also tinned sardines are a good source of calcium and other minerals and should be eaten regularly anyway
Sounds like one big commercial he's doing
Why worry? I think only forever stamps are never expired.
Campbell's lying to you
Narrators voice is horrible.
DUDE! YOU KEEP USING THE PHRASE NEVER EXPIRE! Clearly it does not mean what you think it means.
Bad title.
Yeah, it’s a lie. I don’t know why they’re making this videos with the wrong title
This is more of ad than real long term can goods. Really disappointed with this one.
lol first 2 will expire not what this video is about and is this after the expire date it will last another 2 to 5 years?
Cambels use to be good, now they are adding garbage, bio, bullshit, they use to be my favorite, no more
