So with a strong enough magnet we could make ourselves float in the air because of the repulsion?
Just maybe... I think
Probrobly not, but maybe
No. The main reason for my response is that you don't have enough unpaired electrons, therefore even if you would have the strongest of the magnets in the world would not be able to make you levitate. The mass of your body is far too big for the iron atoms to make yourself float. However.. If you would be in an environment with 0 gravity.. things could change, not much, but it could. Just as you saw in the video, the recipient with animal blood was sitting on a piece of polystyrene which was floating on water. Polystyrene's density is so low that when the mega magnet was approaching the recipient of blood, it was pushed away. This example tried to simulate something close to a 0 gravity instance, which proved a point. But on earth this can't be done. Maybe I'm wrong but I'm trying to be of help. :)

Those magnetic bracelets don't seem as silly now that we know that blood cells align under magnetic fields and change the density and flow of blood. In fact NASA and Harvard have been using PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Fields) to stimulate bone growth and tissue oxygenation. And far-infrared light can dilate your blood vessels by causing them to release nitrous oxide. So much potential in energy medicine. The taboo is fading.

Based on what I've learned from The Film Theorists channel, Magneto is only capable of controlling materials that can be interacted with Ferro-Magnatism. So yes, though he can't control materials outside of the range of Ferro-Magnatism, he can control all beings with red blood cells or chemicals that can be interacted with Ferro-Magnatism.

That prison guard should have been long dead before magneto got out with that much iron in his blood
Marvel Comics* also mentioned that Magneto used His power to control His Offspring Wanda/The Scatlet Witch, and Pietro/Quicksilver when They where younger.
There was "normal" iron put in his fat or the muscle (she injected it subcutaneous). I think it must have hurt like hell to have something like that done to you. I'm no medical doctor (I'm a physicist) but I think it might be deadly to inset such stuff in your bloodstream. In my opinion the best way to smuggle iron to Magneto was to make the guard swallow small iron balls.
