  • I'm not Asian, but coming from a poor community I've learned to repair almost everything, the satisfaction you get out of every project and seen the item get a new lease of life is hard to match. I wish I could get to your age doing the same thing you do Grandpa 😁 💚

  • This video filled me with nostalgia. I myself am about that age, and this older man reminded me of my grandfather. He lived thousands of kilometers away, was of a different race and culture, but he could also repair anything with a minimum of tools, "on his knee." My respect to Grandpa Amu.

  • i wish i knew this guy…i feel like we were cut from the same cloth. im often told that i would be easier, faster, or way less hassle to just purchase a replacement. especially since it is really affordable and readily available. but something deep down compels me to try to repair it, sometimes even if the materials used would out cost the thing brand new. it brings my soul some comfort to know that there are others out there that just dont see garbage when something isn’t functioning as expected…thank you

  • Grandpa Amu took what was a very simple project, but fixed it in a very simple yet unconventional way common to Yeye Amu. Most people I've seen use an epoxy in such cases, but he was able to fix it with no chemical agents and relatively no new materials. Lol and he got a nice bowl of steamed buns for his efforts too.
