Giving the new herd of Spanish goats 🐐 a fresh chunk of serious brush!! They look fantastic!!

Built a new paddock for the goats with 2 strand poly wire electric fence. The goats look so happy and excited to get some more fresh brush!! They did an amazing job on the last paddock. They are multifora rose, honeysuckle, and many other invasive woody species!

  • LOVE seeing goats on their preferred browse!! Most of the time I see goats on grass pasture. My small herd of goats are on browse for the majority of their diet.

  • Nobody ever does a video of the area after the goats have been off for 60 days. Id like to see how the place grows back

    • I’ll do some videos going later into summer on that. Right now the goats have a bigger area for kidding and we’re not cramming them in tight. But from my experience after taking all the green in a paddock for the first time with it grows back almost the same as grass does after a grazing. I can do a video explaining all that as well. Thanks for commenting!

  • The terrain of your farm tells why you have goats. The steep hills and thick brush are a perfect environment. How is the dairy operation doing? Thanks for the video and have a wonderful weekend.

    • The dairy is doing good. I should do a video there to sometime to show everyone how that all operates with everything else going on. Grazing the dairy heifers there along with the dry cows too. Never a dull moment that’s for sure!

  • Respectful positive comment. The best goat sire is 10,000 miles off from you. Boer goat. And Kalahari Red. Possibly some available in the US. At exorbitant prices. I imagine. For meat. Breed these with ANY other ewe and expect the scruffiest ewe to have very good lambs. And. How true. They must keep browsing. Or remove themselves. Give gas.
