This is one SAVAGE 86' C10 Powered by a 502 GM Crate Motor (LOUD) [4k] | REVIEW SERIES
1986 GMC C10: bulletmotorsports.com/car/1986...
Comprehensive frame-off restoration with only 322 miles on total restore. Brand New GM Crate 502 with 500hp and 2 years of remaining warranty. This 1986 C10 is guaranteed to put a smile on your face as you hit the pedal. It was built for one sole purpose, to eat fuel, burn rubber and win car shows. We personally have put 322 miles breaking it in ( just swapped out the break-in oil ), and finally got to test the power out this week for the Video. Imagine driving a Truck with Nascar like power, and Sports car handling. Truly a work of art, never seen rain, only used for weekend fun runs to local cars and coffee. This is the perfect weekend warrior, it will blow the doors off anything that pulls up next to it.

Nice truck, thanks for showing.
The torque on these crate motors is amazing
Ketchup stains on the valve covers, somebody was eating off it.
First time I’ve seen those GMC style wheels in that design
They look like 17
@Craig D Z/28 continue until 1981 to used this design...and 71-72 Chevelle/El Camino got this too! :o)
the pickup looks great flashy
Sick truck
Great Truck for around the Farm!
oh yeah
Yeah, right..lol. That truck will never see a gravel road...storage or garage queen. Will be driven only in the summer on sunny days.
Very sharp!
First thing I'd do is swap the exhaust with something better. Cool truck though.
Corsa sports
Beautiful truck. I just dont like the exhaust and where it comes out.
All that money and no AC. How sad
@@slumpnmyrump4986 unless a car comes with ac it’s nearly impossible to put a new one in as the parts required don’t exist
@@rileyenia9388 they have full kits for these I think.
@@rileyenia9388 there are OEM style ac kits plus aftermarket ac kits fir this truck so parts are super easy to find
@@rileyenia9388 summits racing exist
What you use for seats ?
What’s the drop on this and the tire size please!!
Puttin a 502 in my 90 SS454 as we peak, cant wait, your truck is off the chart BTW
I have 1990 V3500 crew cab 4x4. I was going to go back with a 454 but I talked to a few people that love the 502. The HT502 will be going into mine.
You can build a 600 horse 454 all day long for 4k
@@mattvorhees6055 and your point is ????
@@bvandme waist of money. I had a 91 454ss and re did the top end. It turned it from a slow ass worthless gas hog to a absolute monster. I also put 3.55 and truetrac in the rear end, Built 6l80 and a boyds tank. You can do whatever you want and spend all the money you want. My point is everything I did still was was cheaper than a 502 crate. Damn I should have never sold that truck.
@@mattvorhees6055 I was going to do the top end deal like you did, but I didnt know what condition the rest of the motor was in and didnt have the knowledge or shop who would take it apart to find out. It maybe would have been cheaper but ill never know because I went went with the crate 502HO and it may have cost a little more in the end but I now have a brand new with warranty, 461hp motor that is pretty quick, so Im happy. Oh and I agree, that truck sounds like crap at idle
Had a 1985 c10 with a 305 good truck tell i rolled it over on a gravel road .
I have a 1978 BIG10 SILVERADO SWB 454 in bright blue metallic that I ordered in 78 it now has 82k miles on it and I just installed a Craft Dunaway built stroker big block with a Dart block, Edelbrock performer RPM heads and performer RPM Air gap intake manifold with a 850 Holley that i had on the 454 that was also built by Craft Dunaway. I made two runs with it at the track and found the power steering pump leaking a small amount, just enough to sling small specks of fluid on the inner fender. It ran 11.90’s and I have the power steering pump fixed but have not been able to make any more runs because of being sick with bronchitis. It has a 280 degree cam and 12 inch torque converter in order to pull my 26’ enclosed race car trailer. I ordered it with dual gas tanks and cannot imagine only having one 16 gallon tank with a big block. If I were going to buy this 1986 truck the first thing I would do would be to add the auxiliary tank, especially since it already has the left hand fuel door.
So it's a GMC or a Catalog truck? I saw the 502 in the engine bay but when he drove by i swear it's a Kawasaki Ninja 250 engine in there...
Front grille and lights are off of a 88-91 suburban/crew cab c-30
yep! super-salesman missed that somehow
Not a fan. I like the old ones. 1 piece hood and cowl.
Bro!!!? A 2" exhaust or maybe even smaller on a 502 big block???!!! WTF
Ya its junk. First thing to be re done. Along with the 10 bolt.
Pypes only offers 2.5 for these
@@mattvorhees6055 10 bolt is fine if you aren't drag racing.
That reminds me A LOT of mine, same year and color except mine is a Chevy C10 Silverado with a Small Block Chevy 305 in it, and I have a black cowl hood on it, my dad also has one the same color, but his is an 85 C10 Scottsdale, between me and my dad we've had a total of nine Square Bodies
What steering wheel is on this truck
Nice resto pretty complete lol at the comments about ls3 vs 502. Not in the same zip code Those make close to 570lbs tq down low right out of the crate.
That thing sounds angry needs 4 speed though😡😮🤘🔥💪
How much are you asking for it
No quema cuhhh!!!!
Sounds like an old Evinrude
What's seats can fit in that truck?? I have 85 cheyenne im looking for something like that.
Any seat narrower than the cab should fit
Wanna say folks have been using 3rd rows out the tahoes or suburbans
A simulated 12 bolt with 10!
What's better than a big engine? A bigger engine.
Bigger engine plus boost
Ls3
I agree, bigger than a 502.
Wait a minute you’re in west palm beach?
2000s Camaro feeling . Fuckk lol
What kind of transmission are we running
T-400
100 miles per tank wow thats 160km in Canada hahahaha thats horrible! but soo worth it for a weekend warrior truck
Awesome vehicle
86 truck, but why 89 headlights?
Niiice
What are the wheel and tire size ?
???
Wat color paint is that?
Blue
What did the seats come out of? Looks like what we had in our Chevy 3500.
They are out of a Ford F-250-350
What’d it end up selling for?
Monies
I wouldn't of rolled the rear bumper that front bumper is beautiful should of kept the back to
😎
Saudi 🇸🇦 👍💚
To build something like this would be around 80-100k?
Maybe if a shop did the whole thing start to finish...otherwise way less.
6:25 .... nope, thats a 10bolt rear and cover studs instead of bolts, over the top, doesnt needs that much clamping force.
Definitely not an original big block rear end.
Did it pass California emissions?
I do not know, No emissions in Florida.
It won't pass emissions in most places. If you're somewhere that doesn't have emissions that would be best. That's why any of my toys are always 1976 or older because they are emissions exempt. I can do anything to them and it doesn't matter.
@@user-ge2qn6gp4o I thought it was only 1974 and older (maybe just my state). For emissions exempt you don't need cats or anything right?
@@trashbandit2449 Correct. Even here in Cali if it's exempt you can do anything you want.
@@cencoast_7.340 I thought there were still some limits or something, but good to know, thanks
Almost flawless except it looks like u left the hole where the fuel tank switch used to be open. Should've at least put a dummy switch in it
It needs the auxiliary, left, tank with the switch also installed. One 16 gallon tank is a joke with a big block.
Gotta take those goofy seats out.
Will trade you a peewee 50 mini bike that needs work and $1200 cash.
Serious?! I would definitely hold o to that peewee
Can’t find the price.
I’m sure it has been sold.
@@noahdunaway 2yr old post. I hope it's been sold.
this guy shaves his legs
Would be better with a manual transmission
Running 210 is a little hot
Yeah! I like my temperature no more than 190
Take that thermostat out.
Typical for a big block
I wonder if we can eat off of it
"Sporty-ness" with a small fuel tank and big engine?! Wtf. Lol!
That bothered me too. Reminds me of tommy boy, fat guy in little suit
@@zonamade3380 🤣
You guys are right on ! I have two 16 gallon tanks on my 1978 big block and one tank would be a joke.
Finally, a vehicle without shitty flow masters
My 1978 has 3 inch flowmasters and sounds much better.
I hate when people shave the rear bumpers.
Love these trucks but the seats are way to tall. Might be comfy but it looks wrong...The exhaust isn't even welded? Ugh...
Those old school clamps look terrible, it needs some band clamps in the connections that are not welded.
What you guys don’t own a welder to where you could weld up all that exhaust and get rid of All those stupid looking U-boats it really cheapens the ride.
Shut up and take my money!!!!!
One fuel tank and drum rear brakes.... OK...
😬
Those wheels make it look cheap
But it’d auto 🤮 why
That truck sounds like shit!
I agree, those mufflers don’t have the right sound. I have a 3 inch exhaust from the header collector all the way back with the large 3 chamber Flow masters and it sounds great.
Nice truck but no A/C and it sounds like crap.
