In my experience, usually the Eldritch Horror kills you so fast that you don't have enough time to realize how stressed you are.
Most people would consider that a mercy.
In your experience??
@@andromadus Don't worry about it.
entering the dungeon doesn't cause stress either. unless it's specifically the darkest dungeon and your playing on the lowest Difficulty and it's a character who had already been to the darkest dungeon. at which point they gain 80 stress
@@Lalaozentering dungeons increases a party member's stress if you're under leveled (for example, a level 0 hero entering a level 1 dungeon increases that heroes stress by 20)
Um, actually, digging through debris increases stress only if you don't use a shovel.
Digging debris still causes stress though so it's still correct.
In that case, what would digging through debris do if you didn’t have a shovel? In 2 words please.

The shambler does not stress the party when encountering it, but it does cause a massive amount of stress on the average player, so I think it should count.
It does also snuff out your torch, soo
It's an Eldritch Horror beyond the comprehension of the digital lifeforms it terrorizes. It's honestly kind of fitting the the Stress Gain transcends the 4th wall and effects the player directly.
@@t.estable3856totally my head cannon. That is hilariously terreifying

She was so confident with her answer too, I guess she should have reminded herself that overconfidence is a slow, and insidious killer
Yeah her triumphant pride really did precipitate her dizzying gal, huh.
Prodigious size alone does not dissuade the sharpened blade
She really thought she had glitteing gold, trinkets and baubles
Poor buffon was flummoxed
I love you
Looking at it now, the Shambler does not cause stress when summoning it. It makes the party suprised and shuffles the order of heroes.
You didn't say "um actually"
Plus torchlight gets reduced to zero, increasing stress damage immensely
@@yaxbebbb5555it's not a correction so they don't have to say it
And that gives me +22 stress
That's why I always shuffle my party myself, to the worst posible positioning, so I cannot be at that particular positioning at the start of the fight 😅😅
Played that game once. My character opened a book and immediately contracted an STD. He was very stressed about it.
From a book??
@@randomtree7295books in darkest dungeon can give you a random negative trait. One of the negative traits prevents the character that gets it from visiting the Brothel building, which is a form of stress relief, because they “caught something”, so yes, reading a book can give you an std.
That book has seen some shit if a papercut was wnough to give you an STD
DD taught me a very important lesson: Don't read books. Just.....don't
Talking to people, absolute mood
Must be an introvert
@@Shadow-Shell AHHHHHHHHHHHH
@@resyntax Well I'm both. So I can't tell the difference
to be fair talking to people in his context is usually being hurdled insults at or being accused of something
The way the majority of the world acts like talking to people is a Herculean feat nowadays, I'm surprised nobody has made made a comedic sketch where a doctor in surgery is texting his nurses asking for tools and telling them what to do next
Walking backwards causes stress but going to an eldritch void is fine???
That's what makes the dungeon darkest
Yeah, you might be in an eldritch void, but atleast you're not in a dungeon anymore
What is an Eldritch Void if not a place where all politicians hang out in their free time? That's not stress inducing, you just want to die at that point.
Getting sent to the void doesn’t cause stress, because it’s just initiating a combat. The fight _itself,_ however…
The reason is because the fight is super hard and the monster causes so much stress constantly 😭it only sounds dumb out of context. You WILL get stressed in the fight with the shambler, stress on transporting you there would be overkill.

Ermm actually, its the finest quality dungeon sewer water.
@@wolfwonder4957honestly would prefer that, my characters might not get stressed out over sewer water, unless it causes blight
Um actually, it's unclear. We have no idea what's in it.
Um actually, vials and wine crates in the courtyard contain the blood, the ruins themselves don't contain any blood until the infestation from the courtyard spreads and the thirsting bloodsuckers bring the blood with them.
Eldritch void monster: “how are you so calm?” Adventurer: “man, it’s been a long day.”
The only thing that doesn't cause stress is avtivating the Altar. The shambler fight definitely does.
@@invurret9533 huh. That’s weird
@@SkullpunkArt if you try out the game you'll understand how wacky the stress system is

It doesn't induce stress on the characters, it induces stress on you because you forgot to pre-shuffle.
Me getting transported through the void to fight an Eldritch Demon: Kalm Me hearing people talk: Panik
To be fair, the people in Darkest Dungeon tend to go "WE'RE ALL DOOMED!" while you're in the middle of a maze of a dungeon and among dead bodies, so they have better excuses to be stressed out by people talking.
Yeah they only get stress if it's an afflicted character talking and hearing the person you're supposed to entrust your life to refuse healing tell everyone they're doomed and insult you isn't exactly relaxing
To be fair, usually what they say is wailing, slurs, abusive remarks or otherwise. With exceptions.
@@appelofdoom8211 The reverse is so much worse. Character on Deaths Door, bleeds. My healer's turn: phew, saved. Character on DD: "DON'T TOUCH ME WITH YOUR FILTHY HANDS!" immediately dies lmao Or an occultist healing for crit 0! And causing bleed.
Man I was yelling at the screen during this one. I love that game.
Diving into eldritch voids is the ultimate relaxation activity.
Nice. Shout out to Darkest Dungeon. Just finished another play through earlier this month. Such a good game.
That's right! Being teleported to an Eldritch Void doesn't stress your party, it just stresses you directly!
In time, they will know the tragic extent of their failings.
Eldritch Horror - i sleep Look at coral - s t r e s s
you have to remember that the adventures have inherited the house, so yeah seeing foundational damage is stressful. Think of the bills
Getting to that fight is actually the most calming one because you triggered it yourself. You were ready.
“Reeling, gasping, taken over the edge into madness!”
Oh man, Jess' poor voice!
At that point you're just like "well, either I die or I win, no point in sweating this"
I like to think that you're so far gone by the time you activate the alter that teleports you to the eldritch void that you're just thinking "So many weird and horrifying things have already happened to me that at this point this is just business as usual on another regular Tuesday." 😂
‘Eldritch void? Not a problem. Reading a book? I gotta lie down!’ 😂
Reading the necronomicon is serious business
The books are scams. Don't read them, don't burn them, just stay away from them. They're never good.
The dungeon is the estate of your mysterious uncle who summoned an eldritch god. Theres some bad stuff in those pages.
Can confirm. Once your mind has been filled with eyes, you're too crazy to be stressed out about it.
The moment I saw the long list, I knew that the most obviously wrong answer was right
Um, actually, simply entering the dungeon doesn't give stress.
Um actually, It does if the character is too low level

Entering the void to fight the shambler was my first guest because I was fairly certain fighting mini bosses doesn't cause stress plus it seemed over the top enough to be a bit of a repel, my second guess was examining occult object.
Talking to people is only stressful if someone is afflicted(actively being a dick)
that one dickhead madman enemy also yells at you to increase stress
Honestly, I’d take the eldritch portal over talking to people any day
Stress induced by listening to others talk is so real
"The Sin Is Not In Being Outmatched, But In Failing To Recognize It."
The contestants will dig for every innocuous except the one golden rule which is comedic timing.
At that point, the characters are just like "yeah, might as well happen"
If youve a shovel, you can dig through stress free
The party might not get stressed, but I sure get very, very stressed
I thought the twist was it's not to fight an eldritch monstrosity, it's to die at it's hands
"Man, this debris I'm digging through is stressing me out. If only I could get transported to an Eldritch void to take the edge off"
The left out the best part "Does this question make you feel like a big man?"
I was fully expecting "Um, actually, this list is incomplete."
Nothing stresses me out more than staring at coral.
By that point you're like "oh oh. Guess it's Tuesday again".
I believe it’s only the darkest dungeon that gives you stress? When your party feels underprepared
my reaction was: "um actually, the activation doesn't cause the stress, fighting the monster does"
Only a few of the characters get stressed by talking to eachother, most loss stress but chatting
Cast: who do you think you are?? Trapp: can you comprehend how many times I've been challenged on this show?.
As someone who hasn't played this game, "staring at coral" is cracking me up
Being transported to an eldritch void to battle monsters is just being left alone with my thoughts.
That sounds about accurate to my anxiety 😆
Um actually, in time you will know the tragic extent of my failings.
I'm more surprised the first thing that guess wasn't the answer
That's probably the most stressful of all. Last time i was transported to an eldritch void I got pretty stressed out
Many fall in the face of chaos, but not this one, not today !
Staring at coral does nothing, interacting with trapped coral raises stress
*Fighting the eldritch being,* however,
Its been awhile since ive played. You get stressed from...walking backwards?
… i’d be pretty damn stressed if it was suddenly transported to any void😂😂
As a uni student, can confirm, reading stresses me the fuck out.
Fighting eldritch beings is easy But *_walking backwards_*
The Eldritch horror makes sends everyone’s stress to the moon, but that’s just after teleportation.
If youre going to poison the boss door you might as well give the boss poison instead
I don't know, if I was transported to an eldrich void to fight a monster, I think my stress levels might be going up
IF YOU HAVE A SHOVEL
Is it bad I'm hoping to see people turn to the camera and yell "get in the comments" when they're told they're wrong, just to stress this man out? 😂
Ah yes, reading will usually stress me out. Being transported to Eldritch Voids however calms the nerves immediately.
+1 for the darkest dungeon reference
Getting transported into an Eldritch void does not induce stress, but battling the monster there might.
"this is fine" I say, as I get transported to an indecipherable void to battle a creature of annihilation.
Opens up the Prisoner of Azkaban *panic attack*
I thought so. Being transported is just Battle initiation.
So much of that is with out context that any player would be able to answer it in like 4 different ways.
The characters might not get stressed, but as soon as they enter the dungeon I start to sweat 😅
entering dungeons also doesn't raise your stress level, stress simply carries over between dungeons.
Bro I called it from the getgo, always expect the dumbest answer.
They're too used to being attacked by eldritch beings, however diggin that debris is tiring
Um actually you're inducing stress in me
I was about to say, starting the shambler fight doesn’t cause stress.
Really waiting for the day there's a question like this and it's like um actually stress isn't a mechanic in the game
The heroes in Darky Dungeon know they're there to fight ghoulish horrors, that doesn't bother them, it's just when weird stuff starts happening that they freak out.
Like...walk backwards?
@@lucase.sanchezsilvero9958 Do you walk backwards every day? Michael Jackson?
damn this is like the only one I've seen that I could have answered lmao
Technically the debris is correct, you didn't specify bare handed
Yeah, least they can eat without a table. 💀
Honestly, the entire warrens cause me stress.
It’s also because it’s an immediate battle, and starting a battle doesn’t already induce stress
Honestly, being sucked through an Eldritch void would be a lovely vacation from, well. *Gestures broadly*
I've played Darkest Dungeon and I do not remember walking backwards causing stress.
.... it induced stress to me.... multiple fucking times....
There’s no stress when confronting the endless horror of the insignificance of your existence. There is peace in knowing that nothing you could ever do would ever make a difference. Die screaming or laughing, the void is indifferent to both.
Generally, if you can't comprehend the existence of something, stress is the last thing on your mind
The boss in the eldritch void doesn't cause stress because it causes it to the player when they're not ready for it.
A fairly easy guess even for those who haven't played it like me. All of those besides the portal are the sole main event, digging or staring might not seem stressful but there has to be some risk-reward, the risk is losing stress without getting anything in return. Travelling through a portal to fight a monster is just additional flavour for that fight, it's not gonna give you any risk because that's the monsters job and forcing the olayer to inevitably lose a resource before a fight would be unfair
The fact that I don't know whatever the heck they're talking about and STILL got the right answer says a lot about how much can you guess just by knowing the game
Having your Leper sent to the 4th rank causes more stress than that fucking eldritch horror.
I always thought the Shambler fight caused stress to be sucked into but that’s not the case, it’s just throughout the fight people get stressed as fuck lol
Seeing an Eldritch God: Mid Walking backwards: OH FUCK
Coral is a debuff
Ok this just makes me think of that one scene where SpongeBob is staring at the flying Dutchman just completely done with his shit as the Dutchman is trying to scare him
Shambler causes the human element stress, especially if you are not prepped.
