To be fair, that's what they were going for in the Lion King live adaptation. Animals don't really have much in the way of facial expressions. Realistic looking animals would actually look creepy with human like emotions.

“See this on the biggest screen you can” I just watched this on an airplane. And I really enjoyed it, actually.
I really thought that the "Starring" section would include "Bad Parenting" considering that one dad doesn't know his daughter traveled from Florida to Hong Kong to wind up in a monster battle testing arena, and one mom apparently thinks that it is totally fine to take her adopted eight-year-old daughter on what is probably literally the most dangerous mission ever.

@@therealwilldalbey Only up until they got to the Arctic research station; once they got to the tunnel that was the entrance to Hollow Earth, they didn't want Kong to be calm, but ready to fight gigantic monsters in Hollow Earth, which he clearly did. Even if they had wanted the girl to keep Kong calm down in Hollow Earth, there was no way for her to do that while she was still inside that little ship, but her leaving the ship would be even more absurdly dangerous. Once they got to the base, they could have left the girl in the care of responsible adults at the Arctic research base, and just had the adults follow Kong down into Hollow Earth on the most dangerous mission humans have ever undertaken.
Ah I wish Hong Kong actually look like some neon rave party.

I like how her friend is totally useless all the time and just there to complain about everything and boom, suddenly, he becomes the real MVP to destroy MG by pouring the whiskey to the computers. Also, Millie is totally useless on this movie and just there to say "No, Godzilla supposed to be our friend!" Or listening to Podcast and meet the Podcast dude and she stupidly standing near Giant Skull Crawler instead of running.
They literally could've just given the conspiracy podcast guy his own time, trimmed that whole subplot down, and you wouldn't beable to tell the difference. I can't imagine who wasn't way more focused on "ok what's in here?" along with "ok that's not good" and the one-dimensional boss and asian son of we aren't going to even remind you a little talking about if they should activate without running some tests frist. CLICHE lines were better than that useless extra duo. Seriously the kong characters at least don't feel like filler 99% of the time, and most are far superior.
I believe they had Stranger Things Girl signed to a 2 movie deal, so they had to come up with something for her to do.

Kong is more charismatic than any of the human characters of the franchise.

Wouldn’t say his character was charismatic, but Bryan Cranston’s character is still the most compelling character in the franchise. Still can’t believe they killed him in the first act of that film.

Probably the quickest we’ve gotten a trailer! (Movie just came out in US)
Simultaneous release on streaming services means that we'll be getting these trailers quicker. To be honest, I'm not keen on that. Part of the thrill of waiting for the Honest trailer was signalling when the Home release is, which means that a movie would have a continued life after "theatre release" COVID really screwed up everything.

So message of this movie: better have two uncontrolled stupid godlike creatures nearby, so they can destroy humanity any time they want, than bright scientists who can protect us with modern technologies
