  • You should say in how much amount of time for the 55bn cubic meters. Like is that a projected number based on its operational lifespan? Is it a day? Week?

    @ken6277@ken6277 Жыл бұрын
    • Yes! This entire report is useless without that context. I'm finding that 55 bcf is one day's worth of natural gas for Europe but idk if I am not calculating correctly.

    • That’s 55 billion cubic meters Annually = worth enough for 1 year easy for germany.

  • Nordstream is owned by both Russiaa (majority) and Germany. It incompressible that either country would damage the pipelines. They have been operating Nordstream 1, for 11 years, and have had no problems except for the recent Ukraine issue. Russia supplied cheap gas and Germany became the financial stability and money machine for the rest of EU. It was to pay $44 billion to EU this year. With the pipelines gone, German economy could collapse. Most gas producing countries have refused to supply gas/oil to USA, EU, OR UK. They do not support the sanctions. Therefore, EU will need to import USA gas at 5 x's the cost. This will create high inflation in EU, and many factories will close (probably having to relocate to USA to survive). USA is the biggest winner out the pipeline sabotage. Remember the NATO ships were in the area doing underwater training exercises. When over the USA ships remained. Satillites tracked USA helicopters travelling along the pipeline route. Who else beside USA has the machinery , explosives, opportunity to carry out such a massive plot. If a Russian ship was in the Baltic, everyone would have been complaining and we would have headlines about it. So, we know Russia was not in the area, so they could not have possibly damaged their own pipelines. Anyway USA is the only one who will be making money because of the elimination of pipeline oil/gas.
