This TikToker based in Rome, Italy, recorded a social experiment to see if members of the public would help him get on an escalator.
The video starts off with @LobuonoInside pretending to be scared of stepping onto an escalator. Several people pass him by as he hesitates at the top of the conveyor belt.
A family then pass by the dad goes to aid the man with stepping onto the escalator.
"Keep calm, relax yourself. I have always been scared," he says.
The father's son, wearing a Batman mask, then touches the man and says: "Relax I am here. Don't worry I'm Batman." The kid then grabs the man's other hand.
The video creator, @LobuonoInside, said: "I stood on an escalator and pretended I was scared to see if someone would help and fortunately for society, this nice man did."
This heartwarming clip has racked up 28 million views and over 3 million likes on TikTok.

    • Totally agree! I think it also takes courage to accept the intent of someone offering you help even if they misread a situation. Being easily offended and bitter doesn't help anyone. Being gracious is positively effective.
