  • sir, you need the lore. So in the first game, My Singing Monsters, there are 5 main natural elements, Cold, Plant, Water, Air and Earth. This acted as the basis for all of the major islands with the exception of ethereal island, which is surprisingly not that important to the lore. However, upon the release of tribal island, it was hinted at that there was a long lost Fire element, because if you got your tribal rank to a certain level, the amber on the island melts to free a Kayna, the single-fire element monster. This is where we get to Dawn of Fire. Dawn of Fire is supposed to take place hundreds of years before the original game, back when the fire element was still perfectly thriving. It also reveals the continent, which is essentially the My Singing Monsters equivalent of pangea. The continent has the clear beginnings of Plant, Cold, Air, Water and Earth island, but at this point they were all connected. The other islands in Dawn of Fire consisted of Party Island, Space Island, Cloud Island, and Cave Island, which you sent your monsters to by levelling them up. Remember these islands, they’ll be important later. For now, we can take note of the fact that in between DoF and MSM, something happened to drive the Fire element to near extinction. We know that the continent at some point splits, and given how there is no actual fire-centric part of it, it can be assumed that without a natural island to call home, the Fire element was unable to survive. Luckily, a small portion of Fire Element monsters took refuge in a large volcano-like structure, which was hidden away from the monster world. It apparently was nearby Tribal Island though, as we see the monsters dig a tunnel into the volcano in order to discover it, and it would explain Kayna being locked in amber outside there. This volcano is of course, Fire Haven. Because Fire monsters have been gone for so long, they are more valuable and harder to breed than in Dawn of Fire. Clearly, even though they had miraculously survived for so many years, the Fire element was unable and is STILL unable to thrive. So the monsters created Fire Oasis in order to create another space for Fire monsters to thrive on. The rediscovery of Fire Monsters caused a ripple effect of monsters going on searches for more islands, knowing now that there was more out there. This is how the Magic Islands are found. The Magic islands are heavily implied to be extremely warped versions of the outer islands from Dawn of Fire. I told you to remember them. Possibly because of being abandoned, some magical source used its energy to meld and craft them to it’s liking, and creating monsters that would be fitting for those islands. AKA, the Magical class of Monsters isn’t entirely natural, and only exists because of this odd source of power. This is why there are no Celestials that represent Light, Psychic, Faerie, or Bone. Speaking of the Celestials, they are extremely important to the story. In DoF, we first see them on Starhenge, a large, ancient structure in the sky that is the home of the Celestials. The Celestials themselves are said to be older than time, basically being the ultimate representation of certain elements. They are essentially gods of their elements. The elements they represent all have constellations that can only be seen during specific months of the year, and this is of course when specific Celestials are most powerful/being represented. The elements represented are the 6 Natural Elements, the 5 Ethereal Elements, and finally Electric, the most powerful element represented by Celestials. Galvana, the actual Electric Celestial, follows this logic of electricity being powerful, and is the de-facto leader of the Celestials. She is also the only one to not appear with significant age, still looking very young despite living just as long as her peers. Further evidence that Galvana is by far the most powerful is that Wubbox, the main electric monster, is said to have been created by Galvana. Meaning prior to creating Wubbox, Galvana may have been the only electric monster, being so much more powerful than any monster before it. Even the Wublins, the only other electric monsters, were created by the Wubbox. Given how both Wubbox and the Wublins were artificially created, and both need other monsters life energy to become alive, it can be concluded that the Electric element has no natural monsters, hence being “Supernatural” Everything for the Celestials seemed to be going good, and Starhenge is implied to have been operating perfectly fine during the events of My Singing Monsters, up until Starhenge crashed. Its unknown the full reason for crashing, but its likely that due to the dwindling power of the Fire Element, Starhenge could not function properly anymore, and so it crashed. When it crashed, the Celestials turned to stone, and for all intensive purposes, they had died. However, by putting the essence of monsters into them via eggs, they can be revived, or rather, reborn. When you free a celestial in the game, it turns into a baby of itself, showing that instead of just going back to normal, the Celestials have been reincarnated into these new forms, and finally, after millions of years in their old forms, they are finally young again. Its worth noting there is a difference between how Celestials are revived and how Wublins come to life. While they both require eggs to cause them to come to life from statues, the Wublins are likely just using the life energy or souls of the monsters in order to be able to come to life. Remember, they are just statues Wubbox made, so he had to find someway to make them alive. Celestials on the other hand, are heavily implied to have died in their stone states, and they require eggs from monsters related to their element. Therefore, the Celestials required an essence and energy powerful enough to revive themselves

    • (Huge credit to the people on the MSM wiki who wrote this for everything you may or may not be about to read. I did NOT write any of this myself) Beat this amount of lore :) Monster Prehistory Primordial Cosmic Hush The Monster World began as a cosmic void, devoid of life and the Monsters that give this world its future namesake. Then a Big Bang-like event disrupts the hush, sending out a cacophony of sounds that fill the void cacophonously for eons![citation needed] As a result of this event, twelve beings known as the Celestials are born; guardians of the Elements. These Celestials are the first inhabitants of the Monster World. Furnoss, Celestial of Fire and first Celestial, is said to have been forged in the Living Core of the Monster World, a.k.a. the epicenter of the Big Bang-like event. Hornacle, Celestial of Water, is said to have been formed directly from that cacophony of sound, from a wave of which swelled and crashed upon the void. These waves eventually crashed upon the Monster World, giving rise to The Living Ocean. Syncopite, Celestial of Crystal, is said to have been formed from when the very silence of the Primordial Cosmic Hush grew so silent, that it was compressed by its own weight and collapsed on itself, forming a dense, luminous mass. Also coming from this event were the magical, time-warping Diamonds which appear everywhere around the Monster World. Each of these Celestials spread out among the new world, and took residence up among the stars, with each living within the metaphysical space of their own constellations. In this metaphysical state, they resembled compact, Egg-like orbs. Connected to the specific areas of their origin, and inspired by the constellatious shapes about them, each was imbued with their own Elemental power. Over time, the prehistoric cacophonic clangor echoing throughout the Monster World subsided, and silence took over once more. After some time, the unmistakably deep, sonorous voices of the Colossals were heard. These Colossals- nameless, disembodied spirits of creation- were inspired to harness the power of creation to make the Monster World a richer place; although, nameless wouldn’t be the correct term. They do have names, yes, but they are not pronounceable to us mortal humans. The Colossals were amazed by the world that lay before them, specifically the Celestial’s Elemental affiliations. There was also something else that they saw, too. The emptiness. A blank -and most importantly, silent- canvass for them to work with, to shape to their liking. The first task the Colossals faced was to teach the twelve Celestials to sing. Each Celestial was taught to perform music in a style unique to them. The Celestials thus became the first singing Monsters. Next, they built a mysterious piece of clockwork for the Celestials upon which they could gather and sing in harmony with each other. This place, called Starhenge, as well as connecting the Celestials together, connected them to both their stars above and their Elements below, as it was positioned halfway between the stars and the living core. After this success, the Colossals wished to create a world full of harmonious singing Monsters, that could be combined of both the influences of nature and music. Creation To test their abilities of creation, the Colossals go to a Pocket Dimension off of the main dimension of The Monster World. This place would act as a sandbox for their experimentation of their creative powers. [citation needed] Here, they build the foundation for what would one day become Ethereal Island. In the early days of the Pocket Dimension, it was closed off to interdimensional travel. The Colossals then created the Life-Formula, which was the imbuement of vitalizing energies into sculptures of creatures, plucked right from giant spirits' imaginations. These sculptures were fashioned from bubblerite, which was a versatile building material favored most by the Colossals. One of the first prototype Monsters the Colossals created was the Monculus. They manipulated its moving parts with a plasmic form of Krystillium, which was the first-ever crystal to be made. The Spark of Life found in the Life-Formula was later shown to also be inhabited in the element of Electricity. Once experimentation was complete, the Colossals once again turned their attention to the main dimension of The Monster World (known as the Prime Reality), using Krystillium as the base Element upon which to do so. After creating Monculus, the Colossals then tried their hand at creating a more organic creature. They accidentally used a much stronger form of the Spark of Life, letting some of their power seep through, which created Cherubble. This extra power resulted in Cherubble having the ability of dreamcraft, which allows it to project part of its dreams into reality. Cherubble would then make its home within the coral reefs of the Living Ocean. The Blubberflies surrounding Cherubble also were among some of the first Critters to be made. Using what they had learned in the teaching of the Celestials, the Colossals joined together in a Great Song that shaped and powered their creative willpower. (The Great Song is a very powerful tool in the arsenal of the Colossals, which allows them to create when they join together in song). Building off of the still-active and potent Living Core of Fire, the Colossals drew power and energy directly from the multiversal tree, the Stablo Mjehurića. Taking some of its sap, they infused the Living Core with crystallized amber and musical potential. Harnessing the power of the Stablo Mjehurića, the Colossals established what was to be the crowning jewel of The Monster World: The Continent. This landmass sits in the direct center of the infinitely vast expanse of the Living Ocean, directly above the Living Core, and directly underneath Starhenge. It was from the Continent that Starhenge too got its power, and is what allowed it to stay levitating. The first Element in this world was the Element of Fire, and from it, the Natural Elements were born. Because of this, it is regarded as the most powerful Element of them all. As the Natural Elements come about, they each get lands of their own added to the Continent, except for Fire, which does not get its own land. Instead, the Fire Element has a volcano leading to the Living Core of the Monster World, which represents its quiet, guiding presence to the Natural Elements. Each Elemental Land on the Continent had its own Crystals fashioned after the Pocket Dimensions own Krystillium. The Plant lands had Vegidian, the Cold Lands had Frozium, the Air Lands had Skylite, the Water Lands had Aquanine, and the Earth lands had Stonyx. Although there were no Fire Lands, there was still a Fire-affiliated Crystal, that being Pyrozite, which looked the most similar to Krystillium in appearance, as if it had just been recolored. Through the combined efforts of the Colossals in the Great Song, the first Monsters came to be, and began to populate the Monster World. There was then a period of time between the Colossal's creating the Monsters and the Dawn of Fire before Monsters first sang together in unity. In this time, Monsters evolved, adapting to their environments, not yet unleashing their musical abilities. Several breeds of Monsters who share each other’s likeness had co-evolved together, giving rise to the first Monster ‘families’. Pummels could swim without need of their planty membranes, and so could Phanglers- one such group even wished to touch the sun! The original common Kaynas- now known today as Rare Kaynas- were very populous, more so than the today-common cousin. And one particular peculiar breed decided to develop a different, non-lung way of breathing.

    • The Dawn of Fire The Dawn of Fire, was a period when Monsters decided to sing together for the first time. During this time, the Monsters lived on the Continent, which was a vast landmass with five interconnected elemental lands. Once matured enough, these young Monsters could teleport over to the Outer Islands. The outer Islands exist in an infinitely vast expanse over the Living Ocean, and are populated only by the correct, eligible Monsters. Here, Monsters find their forever home. The original Outer Islands were Space Island, a dense sphere of rock encircled by rings of stone; Cloud Island, a series of platforms made of clouds, with paper birds flying all around; and Cave Island, situated in a cavern deep underground, sitting in a subterranean water pool. From the Celestial’s divine perch of Starhenge, they watched over the Monster World, guiding and protecting all who bore their Elements; although they usually stay as dormant eggs in their constellations, needing to be summoned downward by the powers of Star Charts and Cosmic Dice (mysterious objects connected to the Celestial powers of Starhenge). Technology was booming during this age, so much so that it was referred to as the Golden Age of the Monster World.[citation needed] They had developed economic markets, trade relations with distant lands, machines for breeding, and even a teleporter! Discovery and adventure were high too, as they decided to claim a sea leviathan with a rock on its back as an Island for them to sing and celebrate doing so upon; this place was called Party Island. A strange extra-dimensional portal called the Prism Gate is found, and may be sentient? When Monsters enter it, they exit as a colorful new creature who looks completely different from the original, yet still makes the same sound. Extraordinary! So many Monsters went into the Prism Gate that the Outer Islands needed to construct Hotels to fit the overflow of Monsters! During this time, there was a distant planet, the home of the Anglows. On an unknown date, one particular Anglow was tasked by its population's leader to go and make peace with the Monster World, and to explore it. The Anglow was sent off with a spacecraft to explore, but suddenly, the spacecraft started to malfunction. The craft was tossed through space with the pilot still inside, and it crashed into the waters of the Living Ocean, specifically the Monstriana Trench. The Anglow stepped out of its spacecraft, in a not-so new environment. This is due to its planet always being submerged in water. This Anglow became known as the Elderglow, and populated the Monstriana Trench with Anglows. With more and more Anglows appearing, some of the native species (including Glimmerglaws, Anemonons, Jlelljiggles ect.) started to get suspicious of the Anglows, and even thought the Mythicals were trying to replace them! The Anglows had to quickly brainstorm ways to gain the natives' trust, because they meant no harm. They figured they would dazzle the creatures with light shows, and it formed a great friendship between the Anglows and creatures of the Monstriana Trench. But the Anglows remembered, they wanted to learn about the monsters of the surface without making direct contact. The clumsy Anglings (Anglow Monsterlings) found out what the adults were planning, and snuck out to see the surface themselves! Being rambunctious, they eventually got spotted by the Monsterlings of the continent. Rumors spread, tales were told, and Monsterlings waited to see a real one. Although the Anglows tried to be as secretive as possible, they were found, but a handful of beings knew they were there all along. The Colossals. They knew the Anglows were coming, they knew the Anglows were here, but most importantly, they knew the Anglows and the Monsters of the continent would cross paths.

    • The Cataclysm This great era- as all things- must eventually come to an end, and the Colossals could sense that its end was not too far away. Two in particular were discussing how to ready the Monsters for the imminent doom. One suggested training the individual musical ability of a Monster, and so decided to imbue its spirit into an arena-like Island the Monsters had built. Inspired by the actions of its fellow Colossal, the second Colossal decided to make its own Island to ready the Monsters, but instead of focusing on the individual, it instead focused on the group, on unity. It then made an accompanying prophecy about how Monsters being united and singing together would help to bring balance to the Monster World, and took upon itself a great Monster encased in amber to act as the Island’s centerpiece. This tale of two Colossals would later be found carved into some pillars on The Colossingum, in text known as “Monstroglyphics”. These decisions proved to be timely, as something very big was just around the corner... Then it came. The cataclysm that would end the Dawn of Fire. It's never been confirmed if anything else besides the Colossals are able to harness the power of the World Tree, and if Amber in the first place comes from the World Tree, it's gotta be by someone who can access the World Tree, and if the Colossals are the only ones who can, what if it was one of the Colossals that caused the Amber to be in place around them in the first place? So, it could have been a Colossal Spirit that caused all of the events that we are seeing unfold inside of the cataclysm. The Continent began to break into multiple pieces, with each Elemental Land becoming its own Island. The Fire Elementals, not having an Elemental Land to call their own, were led by a Kayna to climb into a volcano, before that same volcano sank to the bottom of the Living Ocean. The Anglows were also effected by the Cataclysm. The ground above them collapsed, causing the Anglow population to move into a deeper part of the Monstriana Trench, far away from any land. The Outer Islands also suffered from the cataclysm, since the previously ambitious Prism Gate eventually swallowed all four of them, including the Prismatic Monsters who called them home, never to be seen again. The Colossal spirits decided to sacrifice themselves for their creations, and imbued their spirits into each of these Elemental Lands- as well as any other Lands they could find- trying to save what they could, using their life force to stop the chaos; they shaped and formed the Islands to both their likeness and their Elemental affinity, resulting in the current Natural Islands, among others. The Colossals were not the only ones who made an effort to help the Continent, as Galvana, the Celestial of Electricity, decided to make a backup power generator of sorts that would act as neurons for the Colossals, in an effort to help the Islands. These then became known as the Wubbox, and were put into vaults on each of the Continental Islands, as well as Ethereal Island. As the Continent came down, so would Starhenge soon do also, as it ran on energy generated by the Continent, although not yet, because it still had backup energy. But when that day would come, the Celestials would turn themselves into statues and restart their life cycle to hopefully save them from the collision of their lofty perch with the ground below. After the damage had been done, there was a period where nothing happened, everything was just so silent; like someone hit the pause button on the music player, if you will. This is known as The Great Pause, also called the Interlude.[citation needed] Nothing happened, and so much nothing happened, that the Great Pause is not comprehensible on a human scale of time (timey-wimey wibbly-wobbly, as they say). The separation between the Element of Fire and the other Natural Elements has caused the Element of Fire to drift slightly in breeding time and chances, and it had become its own Class. The Natural Monsters eventually forget about the Fire Monsters entirely. Sometime after the Dawn of Fire, the Magical Elements would be made, with their Islands taking the places of the Outer Islands, as the Outer Islands are presumed to have disappeared into the Prism Gate; but not Party Island, that slippery leviathan is still out there swimming in the Living Ocean to this day.

  • tribal island, it was hinted at that there was a long lost Fire element, because if you got your tribal rank to a certain level, the amber on the island melts to free a Kayna, the single-fire element monster. Therefore, the Celestials required an essence and energy powerful enough to revive themselves Read more 1.3K 113

  • I'm currently crying so hard right now. This is seriously the most beautiful, well put together story ever. I can’t believe how magical it was 0:14. That part truly made me shed a tear. And especially at 0:34 that part was just so truly heart touching words can not describe the series of emotions I felt. I absolutely loved the climax it had insanely excellent detail. Oh and we can’t forget the conclusion. The conclusion was the greatest and saddest conclusion I have ever seen better than any of the books I have read. Thank you so much for creating this absolute masterpiece. This is essentially the most important masterpiece of film history. It is a tragedy that this, it can’t be called a film, but a transcendent emotional experience, will be inaccessible for most. It beautifully encapsulates the human struggle to its basics; suffering, pleasure, faith, despair. It connects with the characters within the viewers, individuals suppressed within our own subconscious. It stays vibrant, fresh, and revolutionizes the art of storytelling and filmmaking while making a damn of statement on what it means to be human. Entertaining, gripping, and simply exhilarating. This might be the most impactful piece of art I’ve come across in my life, and I’m definitely coming back to it in the near future to study it more deeply. this is an absolute masterpiece , I was brought to tears listening to this and seeing the bacon go whirly swirly in a circle countless times. it absolutely moved my soul , and I don't think I can ever be the same. this bacon has changed my entire mental state , I am now at peace with who I am and what I will be doing later in my life. i have forgiven all my enemies and now I am a man of a pacifist life. I will move on , gotta move on , as the song says. the bacon is so inspirational , it shares it vast wisdom with all of us , and we are all so lucky that it would bestow it's great words with us. we are all children on bacon. hail bacon. hail bacon. The spinning bacon, rotating in one direction with this music... This made me tear up. How could such a bacon do such a thing? I'm struck by awe by this masterpiece. Especially when the bacon spins, showing its lightly salt covered tan skin. I can hear the crunch just from here, and so as the beautiful sound of the bacon scraping the dark, smooth velvet floor. The flavor, music and everything can be heard, tasted, seen and felt from a screen. You can really hear the breaths between the music artist, empathizing her love for this rotating bacon. Truly what I call modern art. This was the most legendary performance by any piece of bacon I have ever watched. The acting was top tier and very life changing. This is one of the greatest work from a piece of bacon I have ever seen especially on 0:02.I am currently crying so hard right now. This is seriously the most beautiful, well put together story ever. The graphics, the animation, the music, so much thought was put into it. This has remined me that you can do anything you put your mind to. Not even mentioning the memories, this makes me feel like an infant again, just laying my eyes on this beautiful masterpiece gives me all the good feelings in life. I also understand what happiness is again from this. Not even to mention the most incredible part that is 0:10. Noggin' and Mammott combo has changed my life for the better. It really inspired me to become an outstanding young man. Thank you.
