German Personal Pronouns in NOMINATIVE | ich (I), du (you), er (he)... | YourGermanTeacher
German personal pronouns in nominative are the first pronouns you need to learn when learning German. Pronouns replace or refer to nouns that can be people or things. Instead of repeating the noun or name of the subject you can use the personal pronoun.
The German personal pronouns are pretty much the same like in other languages except that you have to be careful with things. As German has 3 genders the pronouns also change according to the gender of each subject. For example "der Tisch" is a masculine noun, so the pronoun would be "er". So in German we don't use the pronoun "es" which is in English for example used for all the things. In German you have to change it like in the example before. So "es" would be used for neuter nouns. For example "das Baby" becomes "es". This is a beginner A1 level video. Basic German lessons for beginners.

Thanks for the awesome Video. I alwas get confused. about sie and Sie. For Example: Sie machen ein Spiel. = They play a game. This also means. You play a game. In formal right? How can I say You play a game in formal?
After seeing all of this I know for sure English is easy for Germans to learn. Because their is no way my English brain can remember all of this.

Hallo Luzi , Guten tag! I could understand the use of Das here as I read somewhere it's definite article used with maskulin gender - but you used it to denote :That" in the example for fridge... Also, I would immensely appreciate if you explain with reasoning as to WHICH verb form to be used with which pronoun.. I'm getting confused with GENDERS and pronouns determining the conjugation of verbs Danke!
GREAT LOVE YOUR VIDEOS THANKS

At the first time I started to learn German, it was difficult 😵 ...but really, in this moment I find that it's easy and especially when I find some rules which are like in Arabic language....,zum Beispiel, Zahlen lesen... auch, masculin und feminin... Danke schön, Lehrer
Gerne 😊
Hi Luzi, thank you for this explanation. In your last example (Es scheint die Sonne), I can see that sun is feminine. Can we also say, sie scheint die Sonne? Using ''sie'' instead of ''es'' ?
its is possible... but just to emphasize... not common! but.. you can say: Die Sonne scheint. that would be correct as well and the same meaning
@@yourgermanteacher Hi! Thank you for a very informative video. Which one would be more common: 'Es scheint die Sonne' oder 'die Sonne scheint'? I would personally use the latter, so was surprised to see the former as an example in your video. Thanks.
Die Bluse ist schön Es mag sie Der Mantel ist neu Er ist neu Das Baby weint Es ist weint
Hope you get more subscribers. You are great!!!!

Wooow Teacher that videos are excellent. I have a question... What's the meaning of sein+Nom. in these sentences ?
Verb “sein” + Nominativ
@@yourgermanteachervielen Dank 🙏🏻 For example in this sentence: "Die Stifte sind praktisch." sind = verb Which word is Nominativ?
Please I need more of your Larne 👍
2:26 Why this “formal Sie” is positioned in the plural section of the table? Is this Sie formal and can only be used in plural?
For the example sentences you use around 4:00 in the video. Are these all verbs that require the Nominative case?
only 5 verbs require nominativ: sein, werden, heissen, bleiben, scheinen but you you can make relative sentences in nominativ with all kind of verbs: das ist der mann, der jeden tag einen film sieht.
great job, regards from Mardin
🙏😊
Thank you for the amazing explanation. Which sentence is the correct one to say It's a fish "Er ist ein Fisch" or "Es ist ein Fisch"? On Duolingo it says "Es ist ein Fisch" but Fisch is muscline, so shouldn't it be "Er is ein Fisch"? And is ihr ever capitalized other than when it's the first word in a sentence?
very welcome 😊👍 Es ist ein Fisch. this is correct. Er ist ein Fisch would mean: he is a fish... 😂 all nouns and names are capitalized.
@@yourgermanteacher Oh I didn't know that haha. So if a friend asked me what a trout is, and I want to say it's a fish. It's very tasty. Do I say "Es ist ein Fisch. Er ist sehr lecker"?
👍👌💯💯 genau! 💪
Viel viel danke
👍😊
And teacher ... Why we don't say "Es ist regnet" instead of "Es regnet"? Could we say "Es spät" ?
If we said "Es ist neu" instead of "Er is neu" is it wrong or right?
Ich liebe die deutsche Sprache und ich habe mir versprochen, sie zu lernen und werde es auf jeden Fall tun
💪💪👍👍

I have a question, why we need to use capital letter with some nouns like Kühlschrank ? I'm a very very veeery beginner haha
All nouns are capitalized 😊
@@yourgermanteacher oh okay, so it's a rule 😌 thanks

Pls explain by english bro very well example of Nominative
these are pencils so we are not using die instead of das?? I think it could be die sind stifte. please clarify me..
You can’t use: die sind Stifte but you can say: das sind die Stifte. But in this case you name special pencils (for example pencils you searched for) but if you use the general form and just want to say that these are pencils you just say: Das sind Stifte. (Like kn English if you say: these are the pencils (special form) or these are pencils (general form). Hope I could help you. If you have further questions please let me know. 🙋♂️🙂
Plz someone explains why he used er for fridge why Es 😢
Why Es ist regnet is not used but es ist spät is used??
in the examples section of the nominativ, the last Sie should be a sie I think? Sie is for formal you.... right?
Yea normally it’s the formal form but in this case it’s just because the Sie is at the beginning of the sentence 😂🙋♂️
hey whatsup. How do I determine gender of nouns such as "Handy" (cellphone). Your video about Der Die Das doesn't cover all the nouns. Is there a way or do you simply have to memorize the gender of the vast majority of nouns?
the der die das video gives you the pretty much all important endings which help you to determine the gender. but yes... if you dont want to memorize the endings and their rules then there is no other way than memorizing the genders.
Best teatcher
🙏
Good, Please can you recommend a text book for a beginner
"Menschen" is a really good textbook... but it shares the same problem any good textbooks has. It's meant for classroom teaching, not for self study and is completely in German, no English at all. If you want to learn by yourself with videos that cookie a textbook, you can check the video courses on our website. The come along with a textbook. www.yourgermanteacher.com/a1-german-online-course

Hello Luzi Why there is no article for nouns in some example sentences? Example Er spielt Basketball. Wir essen Früstück. Dank schöne!
Same like in English. I eat breakfast. I play basketball. 🙂👍🙏
Only use die/das/der when you want to be specific

Hello. Are personal pronouns, like nouns, also capital letters in Deutsch?
no never.... except... if you use the polite version in letter or emails. ich hoffe es geht Ihnen gut... for example.
why did he say "tasche" with /e/ instead of /er/ tho.. is that just a german accent?
Thanks!
Gerne und vielen Dank für deine Unterstützung 🙏😊
How about an object that we don't know its gender? For example if I don't know what gender "Kühlschrank" is, and I want to use a personal pronoun instead of the whole word, do I have to use er, sie or es? Is it okay to say: Es ist neu. instead of Er ist neu. Danke sehr mein Lehrer!! 🙏🙏💯💯
You need to know the gender 😉

Herr luzi can give me advice that i gonna learn german fast that i need to learn b1 b2 c1 german cause i got an email from this university Hochschule Stralsund - University
the fast and most efficient way is a privat tutor. otherwise cheaper a intensive class in a school nearby... or... go to germany and take an intensive course there. thata definitely the best option but also most expensive.
