    • The government actually paid them alot of money after the disaster. They are brought supplies occasionally and they have access to a bus that comes around occasionally

    • Not being reliant on modern amenities. They’re not living in 2019, they’re basically living a few decades back. To survive all you need is food, water and shelter, something that probably isn’t too lacking there. I have no idea how they haven’t died to the radiation yet though, they might be living on the outskirts of the city so they’re not close enough to get a deadly dose of radiation but the entire area is closed off because it’s well...deadly.
