How GALACTUS Will EAT the MULTIVERSE in the MCU
The MCU has brought so many timeless character to the big screen. Captain America, Thor, Hulk--and now we're meeting new heroes like Shang Chi and the Eternals. But what about one of the greatest, BIGGEST threats of all time: GALACTUS?
When will Galactus enter the MCU? How will he fit into the Multiverse of Madness, multiversal crisis of Kang and Secret wars? We have a theory that connects Galactus to the multiverse and sets him up to be THE next gig threat to the Marvel Cinematic Universe/

If you remember, Evil Strange said he used the Darkhold to travel the multiverse looking for Strange's that ended up with Christine and when he couldn't find that, he started traveling the multiverse to kill other Strange's. Who knows how much dream walking that one Strange actually did.
I don’t even have another idea for Galactus in the MCU. This is the perfect idea and I hope Marvel uses this in the MCU’s Secret Wars event. If they don’t, then it won’t be as good.

@Big Booties I’m just saying, it’s a good theory. They could use anything else, but for now this is the best theory I see that could work for introducing Galactus and Secret Wars in the MCU, most likely for a big finale.
I think Galactus can be introduced in a few ways. Thanos could have been aware of Galactus’ existence and Galactus’ duty of ensuring the multiverse’s survival. Galactus is somewhere in the universe in a type of ‘stasis’ mode where he’s been dormant for eons; Thanos had become aware Galactus is beginning to slowly awake due to the universe hitting a certain point population wise and because of an incursion. You could even say incursions have accelerated Galactus’ awakening because it throws the multiverse out of balance. Thanos figured out that once Galactus fully awakes he will begin to perform his culling duties while eliminating incursions by eating millions of planets. Thanos realized it would be an extremely terrifying death for trillions of life forms; so he came up with a plan to collect the infinity stones to stop Galactus from waking up. Once he had all the stones he could provide ‘mercy’ by snapping away half of the universe’s life forms in a very quite and painless way. So right as Galactus begins to fully awake from his slumber Thanos’ Infinity War snap takes place wiping out half of all life forms including individuals who caused an incursion. Galactus in response to Thanos’ snap ceases to awake since the universe no longer needs to be culled and all incursions were stopped. The Avengers, unaware of all of this, then perform their own snap to bring everyone back; which means Galactus does awake to perform his duties of culling the multiverse and it would pay off Tony’s line to Cap in Endgame “you mess with time it tends to mess back; you’ll see”. Maybe even the Celestials fear Galactus; which is why they’re so desperate to birth new Celestials. Not because they want to protect life and to create new life; they want to protect themselves and hold onto their absolute power. Galactus who had been asleep for eons finally fully awakes and his very first planet is Zenn-La where he encounters a young Norrin Radd. Maybe in a mid credit scene for Guardians of The Galaxy 3 the screen goes black and all you hear is a terrified voice begging and begging for mercy and for his loved ones to be spared; then you see a young Norrin Radd who falls to his knees and then looks up and says “I’ll do anything you ask”. Galactus slowly nods and then grants Radd the power of the Silver Surfer and it ends with Surfer saying “I am yours to command”..... Just my idea.

Galactus and Dr Doom are probably my 2 most anticipated characters going forward in the MCU for me.
I kinda Hope we Will see a new phoenix and just mayb onslaught at one point :-D , but for now those to !
Although Wanda destroyed the Darkhold, Dr. Strange read it, so the book and spells still reside in his mind. He told the past Sorcerer Supreme that he only has to read things once to memorize the contents. That’s how he got thru his medical schooling. Every physical, inanimate copy of the Darkhold may have been destroyed, but a living copy still exists in Strange.
As much as I'd prefer Doom to be the one who creates Battleworld and rules over it as God King Doom, I agree that Kang doing so is more likely in the MCU. This is a great theory, hope it happens!
I think it would be interesting if Doom used Kang in some way to create battle world to solidify himself as Marvel’s ultimate villain
i think they're going to do a combination of the original secret wars and the new one. I think Dr. Doom will get the beyonders powers and I think "kang prime" will round up all the villainous variants and save them in a quantum chamber similar to how reed richards will save the heroes. so thanos, loki, magneto, kingpin, etc. they can either get a new MCU magneto or bring in fasbender saying he's a variant on the fox one

I think you miss understood some thing. Reed said the larger footprint you leave behind the more risk of incursion become, so it's not just about dream walking or using darkhold, it's about some one from a universe doing dome things in another universe and it effects that universe
marvel universe has always had balanced rules for multiversal characters. infinity stones only work in their own universe, regulators, etc
Does this mean that the Earth where Hank Pym killed most of the original Avengers will eventually succumb to an incursion, since The Watcher let Infinity Ultron Earth’s Natasha move there?

I think the heroes will eventually discover The Heart of The Universe and Ultimate Nullifier which can help defeat Galactus in a huge battle to protect the multiverse. The heroes will need some type of cosmic-level weapon more powerful than the Infinity Stones to stop these incursions. There are cosmic-level adversaries higher on the food chain than Galactus and Kang The Conquer who could treat these incursions as an invitation to invade different earths.

This is the plan. I thought Galactus and Kang would be the play. My only concern is marvel having to reboot all the characters after the annihilation. What if, since this is also Galactus’ origin story, Galactus found his Silver Surfer on this planet? That’s how Earth-616 gets saved. Still lots of death of beloved characters, but the key ones stay.

I actually love this idea, specifically how our heroes will "mistakenly" (subjective) try to stop Galactus, because that's what heroes do -- I can see it dividing them at first, before ultimately agreeing on attacking -- which just leaves Galactus vulnerable to Kang. My problem, though, is they would need to start pivoting from Kang as the next problem to making us realize how big of a deal a reality-ending incursion is, thus setting up Galactus. Kang got the red carpet treatment in Loki, while the incursion got 5 seconds at the end of Dr. Strange. In order for Galactus to be more than a cheap plot device or just another bad guy, we need the alarms to start going off about how unimaginably terrible an incursion is, which honestly didn't come across that well in Dr Strange.

hmm, I like the theory, but I dont think Galactus will be a thing just yet. I also think they will merge Khang and Doom and have at least some version of battleworld. I believe the next big mcu climax will be 838 versus 616.. but honestly its impossible to tell right now, since they stretch in so many directions right now. Body snatchers, multiverse, incursions, celestials, demons, tva and so on. I find it hard to believe that it will all lead into one climax. I think theres several to come and nit all in an Avengers movie

Your idea would be awesome! But I would add a twist! At this point we all know the big main bad is Kahn the conqueror like how we all knew Thanos was going to be the big bad. It would be awesome if all goes on and when khan is about to access the power of Galactus, Dr Doom pulls the rug under him and becomes the main bad for a massive cliffhanger.
And at that moment we realize that Doom is actually 616 Stark with a burned face from the snap. The one that started the MCU will end it.

Interesting theory on Galactus' role in the MCU. I could see that happening. If only as a means to explain his purpose & get the audience to identify with the characters motivation. I predict we won't see Galactus' story play out until the 2nd Fantastic Four movie. They'll tease his coming in an end credit scene in the first Fantastic Four film. Probably mention him in passing there too. But Galactus is for all intents & purposes a FF character/plotline. And that's where we'll see him debut. Also, I wonder what worlds will collide in Avengers: Incursion though? Maybe the MCU & the Fox X-Men universe? They could somehow use the Incursion as a means to combine the two (like DC did with Crisis on Infinite Earths) & use the Incursion to springboard the MCU X-Men relaunch (complete with all the character recastings).

I think an important point to remember about the darkhold and all the copies being destroyed, Is that Strange did read the darkhold and it has already been established that he has a photographic memory. So there still exists a copy inside of 616 Doctor strange's mind.

I have a theory on what’s gonna happen in phase 6, in phase 3 they only announced Infinity War and everyone thought it would be the final battle/movie but it ended with a twist and we got Endgame, so I’m pretty sure Marvel want to end this saga with a bang and therefore I do believe we might get 3 avengers movies to finish off this saga, and also considering the Kang dynasty and secret wars are almost back to back it would make sense that they leave secret wars on a cliff hanger and make us wait longer before the final movie which determines the fate of the multiverse

But what happens to incursions caused by people not on planets? Space travel exists in the MCU. So what happens if someone on a space station or starship causes an incursion? And if people not on planets can't cause an incursion, then that creates a loophole for multiversal travel since all you have to do to dreamwalk or travel the multiverse is to not do it on a planet, which would be easy for a lot of aliens who have ships that can travel to empty space.

I've been watching the Silver Surfer cartoon on Disney+ recently. It's interesting to see they did a Saturday Morning Cartoon that was a drama, and to see characters from the MCU appear, even really recent additions to the MCU.

I think Galactus will actually try to feed on Earth because of Tiamat. I think the disruption of the natural order was the prevention of Tiamat's hatching, and Galactus will feel driven to consume Tiamat to restore the balance (sort of like how you might crave a certain food when your body thinks it needs it).
I thought America's power didn't cause incursions. Don't know why, though 😅 But you got more than three if you're taking her power into account unless incursions to the same world count as one, but it would be less thant three if that were the case . I agree that No Way Home seemed much more impactful as incursions go.
As I understood it, the issue causing incursions was when a being from one reality/universe enters another reality/universe where their alternate self exists. America Chavez is a Nexus being; she has no alternate selves. She is the only America Chavez in the whole multiverse, so her universe-hopping shouldn't cause incursions. Of course the rules for incursions are still being revealed...
@@xavierlore But then that would be two incursions in total, right? Or does Strange travelling via America's power count? If that causes incursions, I would count each universe they visited as a separate one, and it would be a lot more than three. As I see it, the two times that Wanda dreamwalks count as one really because the incursion was already caused by the time the second dreamwalk happened, it just worsened. The time Strange does it would be the second.

Cool cool. I've still yet to hear an explanation of how Wanda is a Nexus being and the same in all universes...which was pounded into our heads during the run of WandaVision but then it's totally been forgotten as we see the various versions of Wanda in Multiverse. I don't get that but ?

The Earth-centricity of it all bugs me. Like, why is the Darkhold in every universe on Earth? Why are all potentially devastating nexus beings on Earth? Why doesn’t Xandar (or any other of the near-infinite number of planets in a single universe) have something akin to the darkhold, or its own Scarlet Witch-level nexus being? Earth to Earth incursions are already growing a little stale. It’d be truly interesting to find out what would happen if a magic-user dream walked in their multiversal counterpart’s body, but were on different planets in their respective universes. Like, if a 616 magic user on Earth dream walked with an 858 version of themselves that was on Titan, would there be a 858 Titan to 616 Earth incursion? Or, what would happen if a 616 magic user in a space ship occupying the spot where Ego The Living Planet used to be dream walked with a counterpart on Ego, in a universe where Ego was still there? Would it cause an incursion between the alternate Ego & a point of dead space in 616? In the grand scheme of it all, with an infinite number of universes, why is Earth always so disproportionately important?
Earth is important because our heroes are from earth. The people they mainly seek to protect are from earth. If you write a story about things that people can't relate to ( in this case a different planet) it's just not as emotionally engaging to the viewer. It might be interesting but it won't feel close to home
Because in any universe, humans are supposed to exist on earth. Every planet is home to different species. In any universe the species of humans exist only on the earth and since the superheroes in the MCU are humans by birth, only planet earth gets to host the majority of superhero conflicts in the MCU. For example, Dr Strange is supposed to be human and a doctor who later becomes a sorcerer, hence he exists on the earth in every universe. If he is born on planet Titan then he won't be a human.
You just wrote down everything I was thinking about. What boggles me is that in the mcu, Earth isn't even technologically advanced to be considered important( atleast that's what was said in the Thor movies) and yet is capable of creating universe ending events?? Like how come other planets which are technologically superior( eg Xander, Kree empire, Asgard) dont even come into play. I don't know but it just doesn't add up
Aaron, Id say its because we (the audience) are automatically invested as we live on earth. All the heroes from the 1st 3 phases were from earth or ended up on earth. This has set the "home" script to earth. Kind of like Star Wars, which set "home" as Tatooine and everything comes back to Tatooine. Writing a story based on Mustafar, Naboo or any other 1-time planets wouldnt have the feel that Tatooine has for the viewer. Even when Star Wars Galaxies MMORG came out users/players ignored Dantooine, Dathomir and Corellia almost entirely. People would Visit Naboo but Tatooine was always FULL of players congregating around Mos Eisley, Mos Espa, Anchorhead or roaming around to check out the Salrlacc pit, the Droids crashed escape shuttle etc etc I bring up SW bc earth doesn't exist and the 1st planet we are introduced to has become THE default home/earth setting.

I absolutely love your Galactus theory. I can totally see Marvel going this route when introducing Galactus. I just hope he shows up sooner rather than later. After all, we know the Fantastic Four are coming and you can’t have Galactus without The Fantastic Four.

I don’t necessarily think what happened in multiverse of madness caused the incursion. Obviously very likely and I’m not saying it isn’t for sure, but feel we need to consider what happened in Spider-Man. I mean as far as footprints on are reality go, no way home was more impactful. Largely because of the ending when the sky ripped open.
Same. I think they need to do some explanation or retconning for that. If "leaving footprints" causes incursions, Spider-Verse will never happen, No Way Home should have destroyed all our universes and Doctor Strange x Clea can never happen. Unless of course, they retcon to say "dimensions" are different from "universes".
