Classic Yamaha XT 250 - 1981
Weight of taillight was flexing the rear fender to the point that the number plate was caugh by the rear tire, thats why the easy riding.
At least i now know where the banging sound came from...
Bike choice of John Rambo
Max power 22 Hp @ 8000 rpm
Dry weight 114 kg / 251.3 lbs
Less power than my XT500, but the lighter weight makes up for that.
Fun little bike to ride.
Enjoy.
4K as always.

Of course in the movie First Blood, the Yamaha's engine sound was that of a 2-stroke--probably to make the scenes seem more intense and hectic.
very nice quality video. I ride a Serow 250 (XT250 2019) but I love your XT250 1981, it is classic.
Those 250 r absolutely bullet proof...a buddy of mine rode his from Maine to Miami without a single problem...
My first bike in 1987,after had make my driving licence 😍
I had one from new in 1980, and my mate had the 500. Other than having more low grunt to pop wheelies (which isn`t my thing anyway) the 250 was the better bike, especially off-road. Did a fair bit more per tank also. Handled better on road and off.
Classic XT. I have an 84 XT200 with a 225 crank and top end in it. Almost the same looking bike as yours.
Love these bikes😎
Best moto.
Thats for shure.
Got mine for 900 bucks, top tier motorcycle my god
Indeed 👍
Good video I love the editing Yeah “Rambo bike!” 🤟So sweet!! Where did u ride? Thx So Cali USA
Thanks man :) Somewhere in Sweden 🙂
Hey, what camera is this recorded with?
The old Gopro Hero 7 Black.
Can u plz explain why the bike sound is different here?
Different in the beginning? If you seen the first Rambo movie, you know that bike was dubbed with 2-stroke audio, i did the same for the first part😁
I ride an SR250, and people sit on it every time I leave it anywhere. Even amongst other bikes, people bee-line to it.
:)
Hey what tyres do you use on your xt250?
Just some old motocross tires i got for free when fixing up this bike, will change to something more road friendly soon.
I used to use metzeler motor cross on mine big fat 17" on the rear which only fit on full chain extension. So I welded on extension plates to have the wheel sit a couple of inches further back. Great bike , went anywhere.
where was this filmed?
North of Stockholm
esa moto es una de las mejores que yo he tenido en mi vida hace 17 años que tengo una y no la cambio por nada del mundo de igual tengo una variedad de repuestos para ellas o sea que esa moto creo que muere conmigo
: )
Btw, make sure the "roll pin" mod has been done to save the camshaft!!!!!
Must check that out, thanks.
could you say more about the roll pin? i just got an 81 xt250 and i'm putting the engine together
@@dereksnyder_4244 roll pin gets driven into end of crankshaft to increase flow to the camshaft.
Yamaha put a bulliton out about it. It requires a certain diameter and length roller pin that gets driven into the end of the crankshaft beyond flush. You should be able to find the specs by doing a google search and reading thru the forums. If you are unsure if it has already been done to your bike, you can look at the serial# on the engine and see if there is any round punch indentations next to the numbers. This was the designation showing that this mod has been done.
Decorative gauges? ;)
Yes, need to fix that...
Who's the mini crewmate
