  • That's actually a really elegant way to handle heavy modular frames. Really appreciate that.

  • Encased heavy frames is the only recipe i use for HMF. Anything to avoid having to make 100 screws/min per manufacturer

  • I hate how the devs tossed us a bone when it came to blueprints. They could have provided 2x and 3x sizes for the isolated environment. I like to build compact, but not THAT compact. I find it limiting. I do think it's cool, that people like yourself over come this crap, building very compact; but you shouldn't have to. I like the music you have in your videos. It reminds me of a couple of bands I listen to. I did a modular build some time ago in the dune desert, and found that I had to build very tall towers for crystal oscillators (12 per minute), and other things. I built them next to other manufacturers, such as motors, to use with a alternate recipe. I built frames and heavy modular frames next to each other. Same with computers and super computers. I had to build a separate and very large factory for Encased Industrial Beams. The water + lime stone recipe helps with the huge amounts of concrete I needed for it. I recently started a new game in the dune desert, but I am taking a different approach. I fill up 3 containers per type of parts I manually need, then tear down those machines for others. I am using trucks, as much as I dislike them (jank). I find it more aesthetically pleasing than belting everything. I am using blueprints for roads, but it is janky as well. I really hope they improve on all these things in 1.0.

  • you can press esc on recipe selection to reroll a harddrive

    • There are more hard drives than there are alternates so you don't have to, but if you have a couple of hours to kill and not many hard drives then you can do that
