  • “he’s kinda boring” put yourself in his shoes. he’s nervous and terrified, he’s being broadcasted to the entire world on TV. his mind is on one thing only, and that’s giving the best performance that he can give, and you’ve just thrown a random question at him that you haven’t asked anybody on the show before. what kind of tale are you expecting him to give you?

  • Maybe because people have treated him as “boring” without even giving him a chance to shine, is part of why he didn’t walk on that stage with confidence. It’s not boring to be humble and nice.

    • People think and work differently. They can't expect everyone to be a party clown and make them laugh. Judges opinion can be likewise. As in he may be boring to them and them to him.

  • I think that Minnesota guy was great. Not everyone needs to be a crazy child or wild horse. Not every great singer needs to be an early attention getter. Just chill and passionate.

Sometimes the some of the judges don't have enough patient to wait for an audition to sink in well, shake off the nervousness before buzzing.     • I could be wrong, but perhaps some people replying are putting too much thought into this contestant`s demeanor. "Self-educated society"? Her father's a "beauty supplier"? We can't assume PEOPLE don't like to read; that would mean you nor I don't enjoy books. My father isn't a doctor, lawyer, or white-collar worker, but I love reading. I'm going to say, without trying to figure out why she appears to boast about her reading, is perhaps her circle of friends aren't interested in reading. Maybe reading gives her an identity and self confidence.

    • Simon can be equally judgemental.. On many occasions Simon has said cruel and judgemental things. Look at a video of Charlotte and Jonathan. The walked on stage and from their appearance Simon said "Just when I thought things couldn't get worse". Jonathan was an amazing singer who struggled with his weight. They all need to stop judging people's appearances

  • I love the girl that performed the house of the rising sun. She's beautiful and has a great voice. If she would just relax and not make her reading and brains the topic all the time that wouldn't be her identity. I've known people like this and they just like to talk about it all the time which is cool but it makes them feel awkward because that's all they talk about and others can't relate all the time about it so if she'd not focus on that 24/7 it wouldn't be nearly the issue she thinks it is. I think she will figure that out pretty quickly after others see her on TV and force her to have day to day conversations. She's really beautiful and smart and that's a deadly combo.

Oqg: "Oh I love neuroscience, I love it so much I did researches and published a couple of neuroscience books." Her: "I have IQ 150." Oqg: "Sweet. I have IQ 164...but many people have higher IQ...in fact, I don't even think IQ really matters." Her: "I'm going to Harvard next year." Oqg: "You're going to like it. I graduated two months ago, just a few days after graduating from UCSF. I'm going to Germany to further my study next month. Maybe also Japan and Korea when I got more fluent in those languages." Her: "I sing amazingly." Oqg: "Nice. I win the X-Factor in my home country last year." The boasts would never ends... 🤣 PS: I think the show was edited to achieve a certain impact though.
