1. After 9 years they know what they have in Dak. That last bit was proven in the GB game 2. No one knows what rookie they are going to get or what they have in that person. This is why you scout and try. 3. You have no idea what they will be in 2025 if they move on from Dak. Yea, could they be worse? Sure. Could they be better? Scared money don't make no money. Dak has been a scrub in the Playoffs. The only 2 wins weren't because of him. The losses were mainly on Dak. First win was against the Seahawks. Zeke was still the best RB in the league and the defense stopped the Seahawks run game. The second game against the Bucs. The Cowboys defense decimated them. Cooper Rush would have won that game. Now look at the 49ers games and Dak's other Playoff losses, he's been trash. Want to bring up the Packers game. Dak disappeared for the first half of that game. You want to pay Dak $60M a year for his dismal play because he's the best of the worst?! Keep him this year because you have no choice and he's going to perform the same. But most likely a little worse during the regular season because they lose some valuable pieces. Come Playoff time, he'll be the same scrub unless the defense plays lights out and he doesn't have to do much to win the game. When the game is on the line during the Playoffs, can you trust Dak to win you that game? The answer is NO, so why continue to pay him. Use the 49ers formula instead.
