  • Awe just as I was really enjoying it, it ended....what an interview tho, buzzing about it, Smith was the one for me as a kid, I idolised him, pictures on the wall, the lot, remember ripping them down 😂, I also never believed a word anyone said after Smith went to man u, but I think Dom is spot on, words from Smith would put it to bed, that be a grate interview to have,

  • I had the pleasure of meeting Alan Smith regularly at the gym in Nottingham after he retired. He is a genuine, modest , genuine and good bloke and he still had Leeds in his heart!

    • Alan took a bullet for the team. Respect to him. It may not have been the most popular decision among us fans, but it was the boards fault for being greedy and screwing the club over.

  • Imagine if Bielsa was manager in the late 90s. Youngsters like Bridges, Woodgate, Smith, Kewell, Bowyer, Harte and others would have never been given a chance to progress.

  • I got 17 Judas on my shirt the next season when we went down. Smudge & Kewell were my idols growing up, amazing players in their pomp, Bowyer was electric. Glad I got to witness those Champs league nights as a 13 year old. Great memories. At the time you think nothing of it, looking back they were special days that will live with me forever. Keep up the good work lad!

  • Loved Alan Smith. His move to MU was not taken well by many. I think Fergie probably said something like, your football career is so short, you’ve served Leeds well. Forget the haters, this is your career. Join us and win things! As Dom said, he may not have had too many options! Leeds we’re going down the gurgler and probably couldn’t afford him! Who knows, if he had several offers on the table, he may have chosen to go elsewhere. A man has to look after his family and self first! For me he will always be a Leeds legend!

  • Absolutely belting, it's quality to get some of Dom's views and great comments. We had some absolute ballers in that team at the time. I can remember lots of great games from that era. But that gigantic footy flag, getting frantically waved , with the Champions League theme getting belted out at the same time, is right up there with the best! Could feel the rush from toes to head! Wouldn't it be great , to have Bowyer in the middle of the park right now! What a player! MOT!

    • Bowyer was already making his mark at Charlton, not an academy product, we bought him as the most expensive teenager ever (UK) at circa £3m. If I remember right it raised a few eyebrows at the time - but what a player and what a buy. Cheap in the end.

  • Connor please get Alan Smith on the show, I saw a video a few months ago that he is working in America doing something with kids (football academy's I think), would love to get his point of view on the story and why he thought it was acceptable to kiss the Man United badge after being "forced" to go there. I was a kid when that happened and I still haven't been able to let that go, him leaving for United was one thing and I actually forgave him because the club was pushing the deal and he was pushing into the England team. But kissing the badge was sticking two fingers up at the fans IMO. Also please don't keep us waiting too long, release the full interview 😂. P.S I know you get alot of stick sometimes and unfairly but your doing great with the content and you say things that need to be said, plus's you think before you speak and don't constantly change your views every video once we get a win.

  • Any bad feeling is not Alan’s problem it’s all the people who have an issue. (I have none) great servant for us and proud of club and city. They made a documentary (England I think) when he was a little kid, great lad and loved Leeds. Everybody has 20/20 hindsight. It’s history, and for me not a memory to be re-lived in anger. We were done at the time and no material damage to the club was caused. He never (to my knowledge) kissed the badge and he never left Leeds in spirit, it was a career move and a good one at the time.
