Indefinite shutdown and poll boycott in Eastern Nagaland: ENPO president speaks to Northeast Live
Eastern Nagaland People's Organisation president Tsapikiu Sangtam, said that the shutdown is not a boycott of the election but simply a form of abstinance to show their resentment to the non-fulfillment of the assurances given by the Centre. Sangtam also said that they would decide tomorrow whether to continue with the indefinite total shutdown. The ENPO president further stated that the next course of action would be decided after the next government is formed.

Actually state govt has delay what the MHA wrote a letter to the State govt ? Tats why today the ENPO areas has abstain from this LS election its not a boycott . It's between the ENPO and 20 MLAs who cannot agree and come into conclusion about power sharing. If ENPO and 20 Mlas comes into agreement for the power sharing than Rio has no problems. Now the problem is left is left between them. Don't always blame Naga Solomon.

Why should enpo be scared of election abstain. Enpo is on the right track. It is the fault of the state and central government to respond on the pleas of the eastern naga people s deprivations, undevelopment, on various fronts they are protesting in a democratic way.
