A #shorts clip featuring an unlucky impala that was trying to escape from African Painted Wolves
The Sands pack of Painted Wolves/African Wild Dogs chased an impala across the open clearings and into a waterhole. The video joins the action after the impala was swimming in the waterhole, surrounded by the African wild dog pack . The unlucky impala had made it to the shore to rest but the pack of painted wolves soon gets their breakfast! #giveityourbestshort
These African savanna predators have many common names in the English language, African wild dog and Painted wolf are two of many, their scientific name Lycaon pictus does translate directly to painted wolf and that is the name being used more and more these days.
