Covid-19 vaccination can induce multiple sclerosis via cross-reactive CD4+ T cells recognizing SARS-CoV-2 spike protein and myelin peptides
pesquisa.bvsalud.org/global-l...
Both natural infection and the mRNA based vaccinations can be accompanied by transient autoimmune phenomena,
or onset of autoimmune diseases.
Objective
Two cases of multiple sclerosis (MS),
with clinical and new radiological signs,
beginning in close temporal relation to spike (S) protein mRNA based vaccinations.
Aim
The onset of MS in these two cases is very likely caused by CD4+ T cell clones,
that cross-recognize SARSCoV- 2 S protein,
from myelin proteins.
Method
Spike specific CD4+ T cells from peripheral blood,
and CD4+ T cells from CSF sample were isolated,
then underwent autoantigen screening test.
(An endogenous antigen that stimulates the production of autoantibodies)
A list of well-known MS related autoantigens,
Result(s)
Self-reactive T cells were detected from Spike specific T cell population,
also showed reactivity to MBP, MOG, (Myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein) peptides PLP peptide pools.
Multiple sclerosis and myelin basic protein: insights into protein disorder and disease
www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/arti...
Myelin basic protein (MBP) is an abundant protein in central nervous system (CNS) myelin.
MBP has long been studied as a factor in the pathogenesis of the autoimmune neurodegenerative disease multiple sclerosis (MS).
MS is characterized by CNS inflammation, demyelination, and axonal loss.
Finally,
we found proinflammatory T cell clones,
that recognize both Spike protein and immunodominant Myelin basic protein peptides,
and Myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) peptides, which have previously been implicated in MS.
Conclusion(s)
Detailed studies of both peripheral blood, and CSF derived CD4+ T cells show that the onset of MS in these two cases is very likely caused by CD4+ T cell clones that cross-recognize SARS-CoV-2 S protein derived peptides and peptides derived from myelin proteins, which have previously been implicated in MS.
Posts misrepresent research on multiple sclerosis and COVID-19 vaccines found in WHO database
apnews.com/article/fact-check...
New diagnosis of multiple sclerosis in the setting of mRNA COVID-19 vaccine exposure (January 2022)
pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34922...
Multiple sclerosis (MS) with onset in the setting of acute SARS-CoV-2 virus infection has been reported,
and reactivation of MS following non-mRNA COVID-19 vaccination has been noted,
There have been three reports of newly diagnosed MS following exposure to mRNA COVID-19 vaccine.
The association cannot be determined to be causal,
We report a series of 5 cases of newly diagnosed MS following recent exposure to mRNA COVID-19 vaccines.
Latency from vaccination to initial presentation varied.
Neurological manifestations and clinical course appeared to be typical for MS,
including response to high dose steroids
Conclusion
Acute neurological deficits in the setting of recent mRNA COVID-19 vaccine administration may represent new onset multiple sclerosis.

  • I’m a person with MS, when the vaccine came out, I called the manufacturer and asked them about it if there is a adverse reaction with my MS, they said call your doctor and we don’t know. I called my doctor and he didn’t know either, so I decided not to get the vaccine.

This is as concerning as it is inexplicable.

    • You will never guess where I am leading with this: Don't you find it STRANGE that BIDDENs presidency is the MIRROR of TRUMP's presidency's problems, even way worse? Example: The news made fun of Trump for his text's, spelling, and grammar. Now we have Bidden with way worse words, and text. The news made fun of Trump Junior for mental problems and mistakes, now Bidden has his crackhead son. The news made fun of Trump screwing up international relations, now we have Bidden leaving people and military equipment in Iraq, and DRAGGING us into Ukraine and possibly a world WAR. This is so BLANTANT a set up. Trump will SWOOP in and 'save' the world from all these problems(unless God stops it) Why? Because he is the False prophet. Trying to look like John the baptist, and he will lead us to the anti Christ. Unless God cuts this Short also. On another subject, when The RAPTURE HAPPENS! I woke up with sudden leg numbness and lack of balance not long after my second vaccine. Multiple sclerosis diagnosis has since followed. I struggle to believe these aren’t connected. Never again will I be bullied into taking any medical intervention from the government again.

When I asked my doctor about the possible dangers of the vax and MS she said it was harmless and that they are following the MS society guidelines. I went to their website to see where they got their information. It was based off a study of only 40 MS patients and observed them for only 3 months. The study shows a slight increase in symptoms of those vaxed. I sent her the study and asked if this was something she was aware of and I received complete silence. When I called to follow up I was told to quell my rebellious spirit and think about the rest of America. That only confirmed that they had indeed turned off their critical thinking. Should be criminal but nobody cares.

I decided to get the Pfizer vaccine and I told my husband to let me go first and see how I do since he has some medical issues. I thought I did fine and got the second one but within a couple of weeks something was very wrong, but I didn't think about the vaccine I thought maybe my age. My balance was off, I had a tightness around my waist, I didn't want to drive at night, and my personality had changed. My daughter started googling and said it sounds like MS. My daughter asked a friend that was a doctor and he said he didn't think so. My age was the main reason. I will skip ahead to January 2023 and finally had an MRI and had many lesions. In my report, it said, “somewhat old for this active MS.” My next step was a spinal tap and I had the bands in my fluid. I was finally diagnosed with MS. In April I started Ocrevus. My life has changed so much in the last 2 years. I am 99.999 percent sure it was the vaccine that caused my MS.

But you discredit your argument when you over-exaggerate Covid as a "cold" to try to make your point about vaccines. I no longer believe the risk is worth the vaccine for me at least. But Covid is anything but trivial. Mild Covid cases are the ones that most often lead to Long Covid and long-term or permanent disability. If you had any knowledge based in scientific fact. Or were unfortunate enough to be suffering from chronic disability because of the virus. You wouldn't be calling this a cold.

    • Some fasting can help a great deal with your MS symptoms. Some benefits of doing occasional extended fasting: High blood pressure is lowered to normal levels very quickly while fasting. Fibrosis/scarring is reversed over time. Fasting increases nitric oxide release. Fasting restores NAD+ to healthy levels. Vitamin D plasma levels are increased as fasting improves metabolic health, and vitamin D in turn increases autophagy. Stomach acid is reduced over time while fasting and can allow for the healing of treatment resistant ulcers, but some patients may need continued acid reducation medication while fasting. Telomeres are lengthened and fasting also increases anti-aging Yamanaka factors. Blood clotting is reduced and blood clots and arterial plaque are reabsorbed into the body. Fasting stimulates phagocytosis, the ingestion of bacteria, plaques and viruses by the immune system. It will also remove any 'foreign material' that is not supposed to be there. Fasts from 36-96 h increase metabolic rate due to norepinephrine release! After 72 hours or more fasted, your body recycles up to 1/3 of all immune bodies, rejuvenating your entire immune system. Fasting can help with MS, Depression, BPD, Autism and seizures. Fasting reduces pain and anxiety by stimulating the endocannabinoid system in a similar way to CBD oil. Thymus is regenerated, which suppresses aging and renews the immune system. The thymus also plays a vital role in fighting cancer. Weight loss from daily caloric restriction has 1/4 to 1/3 of the weight lost as lean tissue while many studies show fat loss from 36 h fasts without losing any lean tissue! The hunger hormone ghrelin also lowers with extended fasting and rises from dieting. Blood sugar and insulin are lowered, allowing white blood cells to move more freely throughout the body and do their job. Some viruses activate glycolosis (the release of sugar in the body) and clinically it has been shown that decreasing glucose metabolism in the body weakens the influenza virus. When you move out of MTOR your body shuts down the building blocks of the cell which are used to produce organelles and proteins. This means the mechanisms needed by viruses to replicate are by and large unavailable when you are in a deeply fasted state. What breaks a fast? Anything with protein or carbohydrates in it will break a fast. Most teas and herbs are OK. Most supplements and meds will either break ketosis directly or contain a filler that will. Many meds are dangerous to take while fasting. Does fasting lower testosterone? No, it raises it when the fast is broken by increasing lutenizing hormone. Fasting also increases insulin sensitivity, which helps with muscle building. Fasts of 36-96 will not affect short term female fertility or affect menstrual cycle. They also may increase long term fertility, especially in women with PCOS. The hormone Leptin is an immunomodulator that keeps the body from attacking itself and obesity causes leptin resistance. Fasting very quickly reduces leptin resistance and leptin levels and one day of fasting can cut your leptin levels in half and gets your immune system working properly again! Does the body preferentially prefer glucose as a fuel? No, except for brief periods of very intense exercise, your body mainly burns fats in the form of free fatty acids. Your brain also prefers to burn ketones at a rate of around 2.5 to 1 when they are available in equal quantity to glucose. Fasting stimulates the AMPK complex and activates autophagy. Autophagy (literally self eating) will cause cells to recycle foreign matter such as viruses and kill cancerous and senescent cells Lowering insulin via fasting virtually eliminates chronic inflammation in the body. When not in ketosis, the brain can only burn carbohydrate, which produces a great deal of damaging ROS the brain has to deal with. It increases mitochondrial function and repairs mitichondrial DNA, leading to improved ATP production and oxygen efficiency and thereby making cells better able to fight off infection. Increased mitochondrial function also has the added benefit of increasing your metabolism and cancer prevention! Fasting also releases BDNF and NGF in the blood which stimulates new nerve and brain cell growth. This can help a great deal with diseases like MS, peripheral neuropathy and Alzheimers. In fact, the biochemical regulator of BDNF production is beta-hydroxybutyrate Fasting also increases telomere length, negating some of the effects of aging at a cellular level. When you fast, this stimulates apoptosis in senescent or genetically damaged cells, destroying them. Senescent cells are responsible for many of the effects of aging and are a root cause of the development of cancer. A fasting mimicking diet for 3-5 days in a row also provides many of the same benefits as water fasting. FMD usually has 200-800 calories, under 18 g of protein and extremely low carbs. Exogenous ketones can aid with fasting, making it easier in healthy people and allowing some people with specific issues to fast in spite of them without worrying as much about hypoglycemia. Children, pregnant or nursing women should not fast for periods longer than 16 hours. People with pancreatic tumors or certain forms of hypoglycemia generally cannot fast at all. Type 1 diabetics can also fast but it is more complicated and should be approached with caution as it could lead to ketoacidosis. Those with Addison's disease may also be unable to fast without liberal use of exogenous ketones, depending on severity. If you experience extreme symptoms of some kind, especially dizziness then simply break the fast and seek advice. • MTHFR is very common. You don't methylate folate so must buy methyl folate and B12 supplement. If you don't want to buy genetic test you might as well take B7 (Biotin) since you might have a deficiency of an enzyme that scavenges it from the intestines. Then, once a week, take a multivitamin and multiple B vitamin supplement. This will help you avoid B12 deficiency and anemia and digestive issues. It will also help you to avoid heart problems.

When the plandem started, itv had a Professor of the morning tv programme (Angus Dalglish) He stated he was hugely concerned about anyone already having autoimmune conditions taking the so called remedy. He helped me stick to my gut feeling of avoiding at all costs. He then went on to be censored with his claims. Thank You Prof , you were morally correct in sharing your concerns.

    • Some extended fasting can help a great deal with your MS and any 'new' autoimmune issues people experience. Autophagy (literally self eating) will cause cells to recycle foreign matter such as viruses and kill cancerous and senescent cells When not in ketosis, the brain can only burn carbohydrate, which produces a great deal of damaging ROS the brain has to deal with. In fact, the biochemical regulator of BDNF production is beta-hydroxybutyrate, which is the same ketone the body produces to nourish the brain while fasting. Fasting also increases telomere length, negating some of the effects of aging at a cellular level. See Alan MacDonald's work: Multiple Sclerosis is Parasitosis. Filarial worms transport spirochetes into the spinal fluid then offload the spirochetes into the brain. Both Borrelia and Bartonella (cat scratch fever) eat connective tissue and myelin. Measles is a myelin protein mimick. All of these will activate the immune system to harm the host but the notion of 'autoimmunity' is a lie. You can't attack your own body without it having been tricked by something that they implanted into us.

    • Sorry to hear of your diagnosis. It would seem your diagnosis came approximately 11 months after the jab. While it is possible the jab might have contributed, there maybe other more plausible explanations... For example... Pre covid in the US, 200 MS cases were diagnosed per week, In UK it was 130. Based on those numbers, either 200 or130 people per week would be identified with MS within a week of a jab (assuming everyonetook it)... just due to coincidence. That's 400 or 260 within 2 weeks, 600 or 390 within 3 weeks, 800 or 420 in a month or1600 or 780 within two months of a jab... so, it could be coincidence. Within a year of the jab, that's approx 16K in 1 year based on 2018 figures, just coincidentally...in 2 countries The virus itself is known to trigger similar symptoms as well... Again, not suggesting a link is entirely not impossible. However, if you are convinced it is the jab, then doesn't matter what anyone says, that is your take on it...

    • @@iDestiny76 thank you for your input. however, if you're not deeply familiar with the natural MS timeline; you do not have all of the information to form your opinion. as someone with MS, I can tell you that naturally occurring MS takes 7+ years to Dx. That's not considering the years you didn't really pay attention to the odd signs your body was showing and didn't see a doc on it. In my case; it was 7 years from the first MS specific symptom to Dx. During that 7 years, I saw a neuro that thought I was crazy, and a second one that bet his next 2 paychecks that I didn't have it and "humored me". I was Dx based on the "humored" MRI. He failed to pay up on that bet. the mere fact that she was Dx only 11months after vax, AND a nurse; tells me that there were NOTICEABLE changes in her body. noticeable enough to begin testing for it. There are too many pwMS on this comment thread alone saying their long stable MS got worse within HOURS of the shot for this person's feelings to be rendered invalid. please dont.

Diagnosed with Transverse Myelitis. Its July 2023 as I type, and I spend my days with my entire body tingling/buzzing constantly. Endless bouts of feeling incredibly sick and shaking. Numbness on various patches of my body. That jab has utterly wrecked my life, yet because I can still walk, i'm entitled to nothing. Angry doesn't quite cover how I feel.

In the Fall of 2020 I was doing food and package deliveries 12-13 hours a day--tons of walking and jogging and driving but then today after a few bouts with covid I can only walk about 10-20 feet, assisted, and and have vision and mental degradation as well, and cannot do much work at all, even on the computer, hopefully awaiting disability income one day Lord willing. I’m beginning to think that a lot of autoimmune, neurological, and other chronic illnesses are contributed to vaccines. The medical community really needs to take a good long look at what they actually know and what they don’t. We’re sicker than ever with more medical interventions than ever. My mama died on December 14, 2020. Thankfully my dad was able to keep her home so that we could be with her in her final days. • My son opted against the vaccine. I didn't judge him or try to pursued him into it. I felt it was everyone's choice because we REALLY didn't know what was going to happen with it. I got the two initial ones from Pfizer & a booster early last year. In July, without any pre-existing heart conditions, cholesterol issues or atherosclerosis (the last one was learned after the fact) I suffered 2 TIAs. This past February we all started having symptoms of a cold. My son was off from work & he slept the better part of 36 hours. He woke up late in the evening on Valentine's Day, delirious & vomiting gastric juices quite violently all over himself, his covers & his bed. Amidst this he complained that he couldn't see. We didn't put much stock in it, he was literally crying saying that he was afraid to go back to sleep, at 19 after all. We took him to the ER & it turned out we all had C19. Meanwhile he was severely dehydrated. As far as his vision loss went his macula in both eyes were swollen. They did a CT scan & didn't see any clots so we were told that it's just "Covid eye" it'll go away in a couple of weeks. We waited those couple of weeks. It didn't go away. The Optometrist said the swelling was gradually subsiding but couldn't explain his continued blindness. We took him to see the leading Ophthalmologist in the region & even he couldn't explain what had happened. He prescribed a battery of medications & was really flustered because he had NO data on this sort of a reaction to C19. (So flustered, in fact, that he even ran a genetic test to see if something there contributed.) He gave him a pair of reading glasses to experiment with. They were useless. A month later he prescribed him bifocals. They helped only slightly - he still couldn't read anything smaller than 1/2 inch. I tried buying him a 10x magnification desktop lamp; He could make out that there were individual characters on his computer screen or in a book but he still couldn't read them. Earlier this month we finally asked for the Ophthalmologist to give it to us straight; Besides the symptoms are there obvious signs that his eyes are damaged? If so what is the prognosis for recovery? Finally, what are our treatment options? The answers were that both his macula & retinas suffered obvious damage likely as a result of an auto-immune reaction. His eyes might continue to improve slightly but that we shouldn't expect his eyesight to come close to his pre-C19 vision. As far as treatment options ... none at this time. He gave us the whole spiel that medical technology advances every day & that something might be developed to help him to see in the future... He advised my 19 year old son to apply for SSDI & contacted an organization that assists people suddenly afflicted with blindness with household aids so as to better their quality of life. My son today still says he doesn't regret his choice not to get the injection. The auto-immune reaction from that is well known & it could've been deadly - especially for someone his age. Considering what C19 by itself did? Who knows what the jab would've done.

Thanks for making me feel like my suffering won’t continue to be swept under the rug.

He was always able to get around without even a cane prior to that first shot, but then quickly advanced to needing a walker. Since his 2nd injection, he ended up with thrombocytopenia, which was being maintained with transfusions. Now, since his 3rd injection, the transfusions are no longer working. He now requires some kind of infusions & days long spent in the cancer unit for these infusions. He sleeps all the time now. My 84 year old dad lost his 71 yr old wife a few months ago to pulmonary fibrosis. She had been the healthiest 71 yr old I've ever known, but following her 2nd injection, deteriorated rapidly. Even the ICU dr admitted to my sister on the sly, that it was from the covid shot. Dad now has lost use of his right leg, which means he's no longer able to be independent, as he cannot drive & he falls a lot. We're in testing phase to determine what's going on, but those of us close to him know the truth. Dad has come to the truth as well & cried to me, "WHY is our government trying to kill us??" Evil, heartbreaking times we're in!

    • Terrible to hear about all of the evil your family and friends have suffered through. This stuff can stay in the body indefinitely, just like a virus. Thankfully, fasting can help cycle it out quicker, and repair the immune system to help keep these strange side effects from occurring. Fasting stimulates phagocytosis, the ingestion of bacteria, plaques and viruses by the immune system. It will also remove any 'foreign material' that is not supposed to be there. Reflexes and short term memory are increased. In fact, the biochemical regulator of BDNF production is beta-hydroxybutyrate, which is the same ketone the body produces to nourish the brain while fasting. Fasting also increases telomere length, negating some of the effects of aging at a cellular level. In 2014 I got a flu shot, shortly after I developed small fiber neuropathy, both sensory and autonomic (including POTS symptoms) confirmed via skin punch biopsy (gold standard). I also developed Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, confirmed by autoantibodies, and a "ratty" thyroid ultrasound as well as low thyroid hormone levels. I point blank asked my Neurologist if this could be caused by the vaccine, she said she had never heard of that cause, BUT never reported to VAERS. I was coerced into the flu shot for my job as a Medical Sales Representative (Capital Equipment), for clearance onto hospitals. It is time for the medical community and the general public to recognize the possible adverse effects of vaccines.

Nothing you do to them, no matter how horrible, is unjustified at this point. Prior to the Covid virus being unleashed on us, MRNA technology was not brought to market for, in my opinion 2 reasons, 1) onset of autoimmune disease 2 to 5 years post vaccination, particularly in vaccinated animals that were exposed to the virus, 2) it was not profitable. For those reasons I refused the Vax. So glad I did. God bless you and all of those that have put themselves on the front line of educating us about this virus and the way it has been handled by our public health agencies.

In fact, the biochemical regulator of BDNF production is beta-hydroxybutyrate, which is the same ketone the body produces to nourish the brain while fasting. Fasting also increases telomere length, negating some of the effects of aging at a cellular level. • I am currently being evaluated for MS. Before the vaccine, I was an active and physically strong Registered nurse. I first developed bursitis and frozen shoulder the day after the 2nd one and a few months later, developed arm weakness and chest tightness (aka MS hug). I thought I was just getting out of shape but a few months later, I developed severe painful peripheral neuropathy in all my extremities. My initial MRI showed lesions in my cervical spine but no new changes to the later MRIs. I still have weakness and constant pain & numbness which limits me terribly and it’s difficult to walk and do chores. I ended up leaving my job to work in infection control which is much easier on the body. This is the one good thing that has come out of all this (I truly love my job now). I’m 52 and MS is usually diagnosed in those under 40 and only about 3.4% are diagnosed after 50 so it is very suspicious. Hopefully this is just an acute case of myelitis and not chronic MS. My symptoms affect my life a great deal. I’ve always been so healthy and never saw myself as someone who could be so debilitated. I pray every day that this doesn’t get worse. Thank you for all you do, Dr. Campbell for always seeking the truth and sharing what you know with others.

    • @@kristinisenberg4753 I couldn’t agree more with having a healthy lifestyle. I’ve been a vegetarian since my 20s & plant based vegan since my late 30s and I always wonder if I didn’t eat this way, would I be worse? I do notice that symptoms decrease when I do intermittent fasting and interestingly, this is the one thing recommended for MS symptoms. I do have decreased GI motility & difficulty swallowing so I am having gastric emptying and swallow studies in the near future. It’s hard to eat sometimes when the food stays in your stomach and I often throw up. Lost a significant amount of weight. Good thing I have peasant ancestry which has survived famines or I’d be losing weight even faster. I’m still pretty thin though. Thank you for your kind words. :)

    • Take a seat and calm down, Campbell is messing with you people again see artcle "Posts misrepresent research on multiple sclerosis and COVID-19 vaccines found in WHO database By PHILIP MARCELO May 26, 2023 The screenshots circulating on social media show an abstract from research that can be found on its Global COVID-19 Research Database. But it’s not a paper that was produced or officially endorsed by the WHO. The abstract, by researchers at the University Hospital of Zürich in Switzerland, was published in 2022 in the Multiple Sclerosis Journal. It examined two cases of multiple sclerosis that began in close proximity to the patients receiving mRNA-based vaccinations and concluded they could have been induced by the COVID-19 inoculations, experts told The Associated Press. The Geneva-based public health agency also cautioned that the research is limited and additional studies are needed to confirm the findings. “Case-control studies, due to their typically retrospective nature, can be used to establish a correlation between exposures and outcomes, but cannot establish causation,” the agency wrote. “These studies simply attempt to find correlations between past events and the current state.” Julie Fiol, an associate vice president at the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, agreed, stressing the research does not prove the coronavirus causes MS, as some claim online. “To prove cause and effect, a different type of study (experimental) would need to be conducted, with very large numbers of people, from multiple locations,” she wrote in an email. “Cause and effect cannot be determined by an observational study (case report).” Fiol also noted that the abstract’s introduction makes it clear that other research has found that the type of nervous system damage caused by MS occurs more often after COVID infection than after COVID vaccination.
