Why has nobody mentioned that the desert of Egypt from Sonic Movie 1 is a direct reference to Sand Oasis or Hidden Base from Sonic Adventure 2?

In the opening of the Knuckles series Knuckle's training zone is a reference to the area of the boss battle of Mushroom Hill Zone which is Knuckles' first level.

They reference Hilltop zone in the first movie, it's a roadsign.

City Escape isn’t in San Francisco… it’s in Central City just like Radical Highway. Dragon Road’s in Chun Nun, which is the Sanic equivalent to China but not China. And Panic snowboarding in Russia references Ice Cap, it’s not the actual Ice Cap compared to Green Hill Mushroom Hill & Labyrinth. Cynic’s running in the ocean and not Jungle Joyride, and the Casino in the Knipples series is just a random Casino in Las Vegas and not Casino Night Zone. Also, the Sonic Adventure reference in the 2nd movie references the first cutscene Sonic’s story mode in SA1 and not the opening sequence. Get your facts straight.

The casino zone wasn’t a reference to Sonic 2, it’s SA1. There is a casino in station square where you have to collect rings and when you get the required amount there is a room with a claw that shakes Sonic but it’s an Emerald hunting stage for Knuckles.

In Knuckles, they also went to a resort called Ice Cap zone

Ice Cap from SA1 is also a reference based on the aesthetic of the snow mountain scene and the part where he’s chased by an avalanche (which happens in both but more so resembling SA1). The plane is the Tornado and the giant Eggman robot is this maroon red color. This sequence references Sky Chase from Sonic 2, Death Egg Zone from Sonic 2, as well as Sky Chase from Sonic Adventure as the robot is the color of the Egg Carrier with Tails flying around and shooting at it like in SA1. The plan also gets hit and goes down like in Sonic 2 and SA1. Chance to see Tornado 2 in movie 3?? The scene of Sonic on the roof is like from SA1 down to seeing cop cars rush by. But also the bombs making the water shoot out of the sewers is a reference to Perfect Chaos. I guess both represent Station Square as a location tho. Ice Cap is also the name of a motel or lodge Wade and Knuckles go to in the Wade & Knuckles series.

It makes me sad that they didn’t license Hard Times to play in Sonic 2’s snowboarding scene.

A real missed opportunity was not using remixes of the themes from the stages when Sonic was in those areas. If you heard the ice cap zone theme when he was being snowboarding that would have been perfect

It appears in Sonic Battle and Sonic Chronicles too iirc. - Great Wall of China equals the walls in the fictional country of Chun-Nan where Dragon Road Day and Night from Unleashed take place. - Great Pyramids of Giza, Egypt equals the country where Pyramid Cave, Hidden Base, Death Chamber, Egg Quarters, Sand Ocean, Boo's House, Clockwork Pyramid, and Sand Road (which's based on Sand Hill from Adventure which is probably supposed to be Sandopolis Zone/Desert Palace from Sonic 3, both on Angel Island/Mystic Ruins). - Eiffel Tower in Paris, France equals the fictional country Spagonia where Rooftop Run, Market Street, Sky Road (Team Sonic Racing version), and Haunted Castle take place. - Seattle, Washington, USA equals the fiction city/town/area Station Square (I guess) where Emerald Coast, Casinopolis, Twinkle Park, Speed Highway, and Egg Walker boss fight take place. - The National Bowling Stadium in Reno, Nevada, USA is the real world equivalent of... well idk honestly, I would say let's just go with Casino Night Zone like you said but that's on Westside Island from Sonic 2 (game) and it already appeared in the Sonic movie 2 canon prequel comic and it's not on earth (Team Chaotix were there too, so they can show up again 😄). I guess it can be Casino Park/Bingo Highway or Casino Paradise or something, idk. - Green Hills, Montana, USA is a fictional city based on the fictional island South Island where Sonic 1 8-bit and Sonic 1 16-bit take place, it also reminds me of Hilltop Zone from Sonic 2 16-bit which was on Westside Island.
