The initial and most mild stage of testing the extremely popular Mercedes AMG G-63 G-Wagon. Beginning at the silver lake sand dunes and ending with a 91ft jump. This is a $300,000 SUV with over 1,000hp and an insane suspension from the factory.

They were originally military vehicles back in the 70s and 80s so they definitely got used for what they were made for. For st least a decade they were strictly military and off road suv's

Whether it was produced by you or someone else, simply understanding what that means and getting those hollywood-quality shots (essentially a short film) into your videos is INSANE. My neighbor has 3x G wagons just for off-road and there is guy in my country that is famous for using G wagons as tractors on his fields and they actually do proper work. I do see them on off-road challenges etc often. So they are used as intended too.

All my older off-road friends eventually evolved into a G-wagon. They owned and built everything they could, honestly the best off-roaded. VW Synchros imo are the best, but they're not fast.

Holy crap. I can't believe how awesome that g wagon performed. I am impressed. I guess its true they are made to perform. Its was originally built for the military as an off road beast and its nice to see it still has that capability.
I’ve had 6, but the 460 and 463 versions..2 were used for off road challenges..these things are built like tanks!
The old G Wagon was originally built for military and is still used and produced like it. The new version with its independed suspesion is more like a civil car and the focus was set to use on the street. Thats why they use the "old" G Wagon in the military and not the new ones.

The G-Wagon is produced in Graz (Styria) at "Magna Steyr" and tested on the test trail of the mountain Schöckel, that's why it's "Schöckel proved" . Nice that you are making a durability test of an car that's produced in Austria! I love that!

The suspension on that thing is extremely impressive.
I learned was if you're painting the door, it's better to take off the mirror and belt molding (the trim at the bottom of the window) for a better paint job in the end. The mirror can get in the way, and if you're unlucky, the clear coat could stick in that gap between the door and the belt molding.

As a Michigan resident who visits the dunes regularly, screw the locals being mad at you. You did nothing wrong and they are likely just jealous they don’t own a fricken monster truck. Anyway it’s really cool to see people from out of our state travel all the way here just to see some sand hills
