If the baby keeps that "Nothing is impossible" attitude as he grows up, he'll succeed in every endeavour he chooses.

I was thinking the same thing..! If they allow the baby to climb when they are there, the baby will think that it's ok because the parents are letting him/her.. So when nobody is around the baby is going to climb up, because everybody was laughing and the baby thinks it's a joke and funny. If the baby is that smart to climb, he/she can process thoughts as I mentioned.
Seems legit, as long as osha doesn't see it.

I'd be tanning that hide if I caught my kid doing this. It's cute until he falls and cracks his head open.
Really ? 🙄 And beating the BABY is the solution?
@@portmoregirl spanking a toddler is not a beating. Beating them would mean bruises, scarring, mental traumas, broken bones, Cps calls(hopefully) from the neighbors. A spanking does not incur any of that. I'm guessing your way is to talk sternly to them and hope they get the message to not do it again. Which is fine, different styles of different parents, but to call a spanking a beating is just plain wrong. Spanking them for every little thing they do wrong is abuse and abusive and I don't condone that as they are just kids. For instance, I'm not gonna spank my child because they thought they were old enough to have a glass cup and then broke it, it was a wrong decision on their part and they learned. I would spank my child for climbing in an old tree that's obviously about to fall over after I've told them not to repeatedly.

That was me as a kid. The amount of times my five-year-old brother had to brace up the heavy wardrobe as it was tipping over from me climbing it are innumerable.
I never had to worry about this sort of thing with my first but my next two were daredevils. Something about having an older sibling makes you fearless lol
I know they climb and then throw themselves on the other side, hoping my baby gets over the climbing phase soon 🤦
It's like the more older siblings, the less scared they are. My 2nd was fearless. My 3rd is nuts!🤣💕

They want to keep up with the older sib(s) and do what they're doing/go where they're going. Also parents are busier the more kids there are and usually unable to watch as carefully as when there was just one to focus on solely. Older sibs often do a lot of the "watching" instead.

Smart theme in every way!
Oooooh... Story time 30 years ago or so, my kids were like that. This is about just ONE of em. At around 8ish months, my infant, so I thought, figured out how to use the crib mattress as a trampoline, (yes, the mattress was at the lowest position) & jump up to the fully raised hand rail, using a leg to grab the top of the rail & by maneuvering horizontally for leverage across the top edge of the rail, with a baby bottle of water dangling from mouth. Then proceeds to jump down. The little tyke planned & prepared because the "BLANKY" was already thrown down to the floor. I hear a "boom" from the other room & come running to check on what happened? (Nap time) Only to have my child grab the blanky from the floor & push me to run past, giggling of course... I finally had to stalk this nightmare in the making, I just had to know how this thin framed little "BABY" had figured out how to get out of the crib? Well, the little brat landed on their feet! (thank goodness) (the said stalking by me though the window is the reason why I knew all the details of the escapes) ( I only put water in bottles at night, you know safety first & all.) So, after catching that little rug rat escape artist in the act, we went & picked up an escape proof playpen, with the really flexible mesh, that was supposed to stop them from being able to climb & escaping said safe space. The mesh was suppose to stretch when pushed on, so no leverage, right? Yeah, NO!that lasted all of about a week. In the middle of the night, I catch the little one looking at me smiling, because I looked over from being woke up, a noise I supposed. There the little tot was, with a bottle dangling again in mouth, blanky on the floor from being tossed out, the kid is almost over the edge of the playpen. Then proceeds to finish climbing out, running to the closed bedroom door. The "BABY" managed to figure out how to put a foot wedge using the flexible mesh around one of the corners to give the leverage needed to schooch over the padded rail while shifting body weight & a leg, all while smiling right at me, climbing the rest of the way out. O.M.G. My Mom said none of us kids ever did anything like that. His Mom just smirked. Be careful who you make babies with, it got more challenging as the years went on. Lots of BABY PROOFING in our house. Friends thought mabe we went abit over board, until they babysat. Sneaky little s@*to they said!!! Yeah so, it was all fun & games till one day, oh around 3 years later, that crib climbing playpen escaping kid climbed the neighbors tree, in their back yard, I mean really high up there!!! The neighbors were just a tad upset, they never seen a little kid even try to climb any of the trees. For them, it was a non issue, until our child. I was pregnant, big & round which meant no climbing for me. Dad, who's afraid of heights, (I wonder if he fell when he was a small child?) has to climb what I believe was aprox 25+ feet to get that 4 year old kid safely down, yup, freaked him out bad! He griped & griped & griped for days, I think our kid may have felt a little bad after that. That one did finally settle down the climbing after, well until we took them to a state park with cliff edges that still turn Dad pale white at the thought of them. I was good to go, no more babies... It was like my kids found home, trees, cliff's & a lake to jump into, But thats a different story, maybe for another time. Hope you enjoyed.
The End
To say you had your handfull.
A long story but worth it. You have to be agile plus have a bright mind too, to do all that escaping !
Oh I giggled at your story as I was an escaping artist when I was a baby... and I was not even walking yet, so my mum kept finding me in the middle of the living room, being mortified that she might have forgoten the cot sliding side down.. until it happened a couple of more times and then realised that I was actually escaping. One day she did a stake-out. She pretended to leave the house, and then was very quietly waiting and peeping at the bedroom door.. to see me climbing the corner of the cot, balancing on my tummy on the edge of the cot and doing a controlled landing on the parents' bed, shuffling my way off the bed and onto the floor, followed by a bottom shuffle/crawl into the living room, smiling victoriously! 😁😁 I was very determined then and my current 23 years of career in social work, proves that I've remained determined throughout my life :)
@@claudiamacovei623 ah, I enjoyed your story as well. I tried the spying on the otherside of the door. That kid was to clever & knew i was there. Thats when I had to go out side to peak in the window. That kid of mine in the story, finally figured out what to do & is studying to become a RN.

Yup hate to be that mom but once a baby climbs out of the crib, its time they get a toddler bed. My daughter is 3 and she was in her crib until about 6 months ago. Everyone told me to leave her in there as long as I can, and I did. Im a 'low income' single mom. My daughter and I share a bedroom in my 1 bd apartment so I am far from judgmental. From the set up of 3 kids sharing a small room like that, they likely don't have the space for separate rooms, but there are safer ideas. This double crib/loft bed was a great idea for awhile but these babies are climbing 6 feet in the air like on a playground. They're too experienced for this to be a long term solution.
