It's really very annoying, I realised it too. I've been trying to self-explain some reason into it, now it's my head cannon that Chandler is so forgettable to most people in Friends (they always joke about how obscure he is, which is bs for me, but whatever), that Rachel, this super popular girls keeps forgetting about him after not meeting for a few years. Chandler ofc remembers the bee queen, but as sarcastic and apathetic he is, he just plays along and pretends he doesn't remember either. Ps. Remember how Amy forgets about Ross after 1 year, even though he's the father of Rachel's baby. She also didn't recognise Monica, who was Rach's best friend throughout high-school

Same for Chandler (he kissed the girls when he was trying to hid his relationship with Monica, he kissed Joey on New Year's Eve and he kissed Ross while drunk in season three, but just mention it so I don't know if it counts). For Phoebe (she was kissed by Chandler as above and in one other occasion, she kissed Ross before the beginning of the serie, she kissed Joey when he was sure she was her twin sister's Ursula (and several other times), he kissed Rachel to understand if she kisses so well as said and she finally kissed Monica when they went in London, not a romantic or funny kind tho, just a quick thing). For Ross (he kissed obviously Rachel, he kissed Monica in the past, thinking she was Rachel; he kissed Joey while working out a scene, he kissed Chandler in season three and he kissed Phoebe at the beginning of the serie). Actually, the only two never share a kiss are Joey and Monica. Fun fact: they're meant to be together from season 1 but then the authors change their minds.

So they break up as most couples do and then what? Ben is shared between Bio Mother and Father. Not the girlfriend. She vanishes and baby is left with her last name for some asinine reason. ugh.

AND the exwife is expecting for you to be good with that and keep a healthy relationship with you. Huge plot error to me. That would never happen. That sort of scenario is for Jerry Springer and how ex wives get murdered in the news. Not stay friends. Its just silly. Now if the scenario were different. I don’t know if anyone has already written this but in 8x14 (“The One with the Secret Closet”) Phoebe gets upset, because Monica is getting a massage and she says it’s not fair, she never let her do it, while in an earlier episode she says she hates this year because it’s already February and she only had two clients so far - Monica and Ross. :D

You likely aren't going to remember the random person you met on the street for less than 2 seconds, when you meet them again later. They likely run into hundreds to thousands of different people during a day. Remembering them is not likely. Even if you narrow it down to the people they had very brief interactions with during a day, that's still a lot of people to remember. You probably had a longer interaction with the girl who sold you a cup of coffee today. Do you remember Exactly what she looks like (if you never saw her before, don't go to the same place regularly) that if you ever see her again, you will remember?

This is a small one that most people never caught but in a super early season there’s an episode where Central Perk hires a professional singer (I think someone named Stephanie) instead of Phoebe so Phoebe plays outside Central Perk and she says she made like a couple dollars and some trash, but a guy comes back and asks Phoebe for something that he dropped back. But in later episodes he becomes Frank, phoebes half brother I believe, who have never met each other before. Idk if anyone else caught this but yea 😂

She basically told Monica to give her the dress back, and she would give them the band so Monica compromised by giving the dress back to the lady and in return she let Monica book the band for their wedding.

When Gunther asks Rachel for her birthday and says he's asking for everyone's birthday, Ross says "okay so mine is Decemb-" and gets cut off by Gunther who walks away saying "Whatever". But later in season 9-10, when Ross breaks his thumb and Joey fills his form, Ross asks when's his birthday and Joey goes like "Jun-ember" and Ross says "October".

Here’s a comment I wrote on a separate Friends plot hole type video: This is a very minor thing, BUT: In season one when Chandler and Joey invite Ross to the Rangers game saying it’s for his birthday, Ross says his birthday was “seven months ago”, and then asks, “Is today the 20th? October 20th?” That would make his birthday in March, right? A couple seasons later, Gunther asks Rachel when her birthday is because he’s “just writing down people’s birthdays”. Ross starts to say “Mine’s December-“ and gets cut off by Gunther. March? December? Doesn’t matter, but still. Lol.
Honestly, the Rachel meeting Chandler one was probably an honest mistake. It was the pilot, they had no idea how well the show was going to do, and needed story lines. The rest, however... 🤔

One that always bugged me was how we find out in like the 4th episode of season 1 that Carol popped Ross’s cherry, but then in a later season when chandler tells Monica the space mountain story about Ross, Ross says “you got drunk and slept with the dorm cleaning lady!” And chandler says “that was you”

I’ve been rewatching the entire series. The one that sticks out to me is Rachel’s pregnancy. So she found out she was pregnant when Monica and chandler got married. They got married May 15th. Well Rachel would only have been about a month along. 8 months or so later it would be around January maybe February right? Well remember the episode where she’s got a huge pregnant belly and they went to the doctors and everything Ross was doing was irritating Rachel? Earlier in the episode Rachel came into Monica’s apartment with a small tank top on and her belly hanging out, and Ross asked her to change because it looked inappropriate. She got irritated and said no because it was 100 degrees outside. Now if she found out in May it definitely wouldnt be 100 degrees in January/February in NY. 😂
Yes! That one has always bugged me! Lol. Like the halloween episode, where she says that she wants to wear the dress because she soon won't be able too. Well the day after the wedding I think she said she was 6 weeks. I know all pregnancies are different but she would have a small enough bump at 7 months. I know they probably did it to be nine months on the show but still! Oh and the fact that at the wedding, Joey said about his uniform "you may be confused by this now, but you won't be memorial day 2002". Memorial day is after the May 15th (2001) wedding date so was she really pregnant for over a year? She said she couldn't go to the premier of that movie (memorial day 2002) when Joey invited them because it was her due date then was 2 weeks late 🤔😂

In the episode prior to the birth, when they go to doctor checking why she's late and Rachel wearing a dress that almost entirely reveals her naked belly, Ross asking her to wear something more appropriate, and she object him, saying "it's 40 degrees out there", which leads to the conclusion it's in the middle of the summer, so apparently she was pregnant for more than an year :D

YES for pointing out Ben’s disappearance! I was constantly wondering as to why we never got to see Ben interact with Emma. You would think that Ross having two kids despite them having two different mothers, he would have introduced Ben to his baby sister and see how the kids are like together, but it’s like the writers completely forgot about his first child and put way too much emphasis on the whole “Ross and Rachel were not together at the time but still had a daughter so let’s see how that situation plays out” dynamic. Maybe Cole Sprouse could not come back as Ben during the last two seasons, or perhaps the writers wanted to avoid being in the situation of Ben asking so many questions regarding how he has a sister all of a sudden and if Rachel was his second mom, but they could have worked around that. They could have at least addressed in one episode that Ross dropped Emma off at Carol and Susan’s for one afternoon to take care of her for a few hours and have Ben meet her, but they never did that either. Ben wasn’t even at the hospital with his father when Emma was born.

I think the biggest plot hole is how Ross lost his virginity. There was a whole episode about how he was heartbroken about it being the anniversary of his first time, which was with his ex-wife Carol. But in a later episode, they all mock Ross for losing his virginity to one of his elderly teachers when he was in school.

From the context of the clip about Joey’s age, it looks like he was chatting up someone, and it’s in character for Joey to fudge the numbers a bit. We all know his intelligence went down as the seasons progressed.

There's an episode when Phoebe says, "Like they'd let me have a passport." Yet she wanted to go London. She went to Barbados. How have Joey and Chandler got windows in their living room, when the stairwell is on the other side of the wall? Ages are never consistent. For a start, Joey's 25 in series one, yet is 28 in series 2. There are quite a few issues like that. There's a two-part episode when Monica has got a cold. One episode ends with her ill. The next episode begins exactly where the previous one ends and there's nothing wrong with her.
Rachel was 28 in season 3 however didn’t turn 30 until season 7. Also Ross mentions the last time he saw Rachel, before 1994, was at Halloween 1986 however in TOW all the thanksgivings, Ross and Chandler come to thanksgiving 1987 and 1988. It’s also assumed that Rachel and Monica graduated in 1988 which would make her born in 1970 so in 2002 when she had her “30th birthday” she would have been 32.
The one with the prom video, which would be May 1988, Monica is still fat. However thanksgiving 1988 she’s thin. There’s no way she lost all that weight in 6 months. And Monica also mentions that she’s been fat since kindergarten however when they show Ross as Ms. Bea drinking tea, Monica seems older than kindergarten and is a normal weight.

A couple episodes later it’s already Halloween, so she would definitely be showing. Then when she’s really big and Emma is like 9 or 10 days late, she tells Ross that it is 100 degrees outside, which means that it would be the summertime. ??? And when Joey is marrying Chandler and Monica he was filming the war movie, saying that it will be released Memorial Weekend 2002, Memorial Day is the last Monday in May. Rachel says that she can’t go as her due date is that same week/day. Which means that Emma was actually born in JUNE. Aaaanndddd then the episode with Emma’s first birthday party was aired in October!!! Going by the original date of Rachel finding out she was pregnant (in May) that would make Emma two months premature instead of ten days late!!! Ummmm what?! My mom and I have been obsessing over this and the fact that NOBODY ELSE HAS pointed this out yet!!!!

There was also this one episode where Janice asks them if any of them ever almost slept with another member of the group, and it flashbacks to this one time Rachel and Chandler almost did when they met at the bar that later became Central Perk, and it was after Rachel had become engaged to Barry and somehow Rachel and Chandler did not know each other back then lol Also like you said about Ross' age and birthday, on three separate occasions he said his birthday was in March, October, and December.
Remember the episode when Monica secretly went to Chandler's apartment at 3.00 am? Joey woke up and they deliberately hide the clock, telling him it was 9.00a.m. Then Joey went to wash up. Opening of the door revealed the toilet (which Joey was sitting on asleep) but it was in a wrong position relatively to other episodes.

Monica's allergy to cats. In an episode where Monica has to make stuff with Mockalate, during the end credits she states she has allergies to cat hair. In the episode with the ball, she states it again when Rachel buys a $1,000 sphinx cat that looks like a featherless chicken. However, in the episode where Phoebe believes her mum has comeback as a cat, you can see Monica interacting with the cat and stroking it.

okay here's my explanation to joeys sisters. He said his mother gave birth to 7 children, one being himself, which means he has 6 sisters but 7 sisters appear. If you look at the part of the video where all sisters are there, look at the odd one out. I believe one is his half sister and joeys dad got another woman pregnant. therefore, joeys mum gave birth 6 times but the other sister has a different mum. that's just my theory, you don't have to agree
